Lord of the Stars appeared dejected at the ineffectiveness of the pardon order. The founder disappeared without finishing the task.

“You may go.” Li Qiye clapped his hands and said.

“I, I can go?” He couldn’t believe it since he was ready to accept his fate.

“You had a pardon order, right? Now you’re pardoned.” Li Qiye smirked.

“Really...” He was ecstatic and changed his mind about the order. No wonder people always harped about Duality Enterprise’s gold-clad reputation, enough to influence beings above the primordial level.

He gave the baldy a thumbs-up in his mind, going as far as wanting to kiss him. He wanted to advertise for Duality Enterprise now. Its meteoric rise was well justified. If this continued, it would surpass the oldest enterprise known as Origin.

“Must I send you away myself?” Li Qiye smiled.

“No, of course not.” He woke up from his stupor and bowed: “I won’t bother you any longer, Great Immortal. I truly appreciate your benevolence.”

“You all can leave.” She ordered the duo.

None dared to stay and the crowd members were smart enough to leave as well.

“The girl can stay.” Li Qiye said.

“Well...” Venerable Dragon Lord worried for his daughter due to her bloodline.

“It’s fine, you can take her after we’re done.” Li Qiye said.

He heaved a sigh of relief, bowing several times before departing.

Once everyone had left except for the girl, Li Qiye asked Xiaoyue: “Why are you so tense?”

“I am not, Young Noble.” She said.

“Sending everyone away, I see. If you were in charge, perhaps you would have destroyed Beastmaster.” Li Qiye smiled.

“It’s one possibility.” She admitted. After all, this was in line with immortals’ conduct.

“That’s why even pseudo-immortals shouldn’t exist.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“Just in Heavenrealm then.” She said.

“It’s a nice place, closest to the high heaven. Less nice though due to the immortals.” Li Qiye said.

“You’re an immortal as well, Young Noble, and a true one. We are the pseudo-immortals.” She said.

“I have no plan on living forever in Heavenrealm. You?” Li Qiye smiled.

She opened her mouth but only let out a sigh. Li Qiye dropped the issue and stared at the three divine artifacts.

They were made from the same beast - Qing Ji.

“So what secret is it that you’re trying to hide?” Li Qiye asked.

“Some rumors shouldn’t be known. If I let them listen and don’t kill them myself, someone else might.” She sighed.

“The pesky immortals, causing trouble and then deciding to wipe others out.” Li Qiye chuckled.

“Mortals do the same thing.” She replied sharply.

“Indeed, such deeds can make someone weary of the world.” Li Qiye nodded.

“Not you, Young Noble.” She said softly.

“What I do is what I choose to. Whether the world is worth it or not, that has nothing to do with me.” Li Qiye said.

“You’re not wrong, but I don’t have such attachments to the world.” She shook her head.

“Yes, early existences such as yourselves are not bound to the mortal coil. You can devour a world without any hesitation. This was why the villainous heaven trapped the primordials first.” Li Qiye said.

“There are many primordial immortals now.” She said.

“Do you believe the primordial immortals are in charge now?” Li Qiye asked.

“Of course not, it is not the highest realm.” She said.

“It’s been too long, primordial immortals have come to forget about this issue or rather, they don’t care. They’ve come to think a little too highly of themselves.” Li Qiye stared at her.
