Chapter 1214: TEAM YUNYUE'S INTRODUCTION (I)
THE stage stretched wide, dominated by two massive screens - one mounted high on the left wall, another equally large on the right. Their size ensured even spectators in the back rows would see every detail projected.
On the stage itself, ten pod-like structures stood arranged in two groups - five pods on the left side, five on the right. They were sleek, capsule-shaped units with opaque glass fronts, each large enough to comfortably hold one person.
Bright spotlights illuminated the pods from above, making their smooth surfaces gleam under the arena lights. The setup created a clear division down the center of the stage, almost like a high-tech battlefield waiting for its combatants.
Then a handsome man in a tailored navy suit and a stunning woman in a silver qipao-style dress walked confidently to center stage. The moment their images appeared on both massive screens, deafening screams erupted from the audience.
Who could blame them? The two were rising stars - Lin Haoyu, the breakout actor from last year's hit drama [City of Whispers], and Jiang Xinyi, fresh off her award-winning performance in [The Moonflower Palace]. Their presence alone sent waves of excitement through the crowd.
Lin Haoyu flashed his signature drama-star smile as the crowd's cheers subsided. "Welcome, everyone, to the climactic finals of the Seventh Arcadia Cup!"
Jiang Xinyi gracefully adjusted her mic. "After three days of nonstop battles," she added, her voice bright, "we've reached the ultimate showdown between two amazing teams!"
The screens split—one side showing team Celestials' battle highlights, the other showing team Yunyue's.
Lin Haoyu gestured to one side of the stage. "Team Celestials, our reigning champions," he announced, then gestured to the opposite side, "facing team Yunyue who are making their long-awaited return to the Arcadia stage! Which one do you think will take home the Championship Cup?"
Jiang Xinyi clasped her hands together. "Now, without further delay... let's welcome our competitors!"
The audience responded with an excited cheer.
"Let's first welcome the members of Team Yunyue!" Lin Haoyu announced, his voice electrifying the arena.
A spotlight snapped to the left stage entrance, catching the movement behind the curtain.
"First up," Lin Haoyu continued, "the unstoppable force of team Yunyue—White Marsh! Their Berserker, a lion beastman who shatters enemies with his strength. When team Yunyue needs to push forward, he's the battering ram that clears the way!"
The curtains swept aside, revealing a young man stepping into the light. Tall and built like a competitive swimmer—broad shoulders, lean muscle, sun-kissed skin—he had the kind of handsome, approachable face that made crowds instantly cheer. His black tee stretched slightly over his frame as he raised a hand in a buoyant wave, his grin sharp and playful under the stage lights.
He then walked toward the stage, the screens displaying brief flashes of his lion beastman avatar in battle. As he reached one of the pods, he gave the crowd another quick wave before stopping.
"Next, the dazzling powerhouse of team Yunyue—Morganite!" Lin Haoyu announced. "The team's sole female member and their brilliant Magician, weaving spells that could turn the tide of battle in an instant!"
From the same entrance, a tall young woman stepped into the spotlight. Her hair—a striking blend of blue and purple—caught the stage lights as she walked. Footage of her pink-haired pixie avatar was shown on the screen, darting through the air and leaving trails of glittering debuffs in her wake.
She stopped beside White Marsh, giving the crowd a single, cool nod before folding her arms.
"Onto the third member of team Yunyue," Lin Haoyu announced, "their lethal Gunslinger—wielding twin pistols that summon literal hailstorms and meteor showers! Here's the one and only... Amazing Young Master Jin!"
A tall, handsome young man stepped out, his expression seemed to be locked in a permanent scowl. He ignored the cheering crowd entirely, moving straight to stand beside Morganite without a glance at the audience.
The screens flashed to his avatar—an adorable black-haired gnome with crimson eyes. Footage played of his avatar firing skyward, triggering an actual hailstorm that pelted enemies with ice, followed by a volley of flaming meteors raining down.
"Now, let's not forget last year's Rookie Carnival champion," Lin Haoyu continued, his voice dropping into a more dramatic tone. "A moon elf of lethal grace, striking from the shadows before his targets even blink—team Yunyue's deadly Assassin, Noctis!"
The spotlight revealed a strikingly pretty young man stepping forward—his peach-blossom eyes glinting under the lights, lips curved in a playful smile as he waved at the audience. The screens flashed his avatar: a white-haired elf with twin obsidian daggers, frozen in a graceful spin mid-combo.
He slid into place beside Amazing Young Master Jin, tossing one last charming look at the crowd before facing forward.
"And, of course, last but not the least, team Yunyue's one and only captain—the undefeated Swordsman of Arcadia, YUN!" Lin Haoyu announced, his voice booming across the arena.
The spotlight illuminated a tall, broad-shouldered young man stepping forward. His piercing blue eyes were filled with quiet intensity. His handsome face set in its usual indifferent expression. The massive screens flashed to life with his avatar. A swordsman with flowing dark purple hair and majestic golden horns. In one hand, he gripped a sleek katana-like blade, its edge glinting with an otherworldly sheen.
YUN walked forward and stopped beside Noctis, turning to face the audience.
Lin Haoyu spread his arms wide as the crowd's cheers reached a crescendo. "Ladies and gentlemen—team Yunyue!"
The spotlight expanded to illuminate all five members standing together and the audience erupted in cheers and applause.
The crowd in the dome buzzed with excitement as people discussed Team Yunyue's members—this was their first public appearance, and every single one of them was a surprise.
But the live audience's excitement paled in comparison to the absolute bedlam unfolding online—the stream's chat became an incomprehensible flood of ALL-CAPS reactions, keyboard-smashing chaos, and heated debates about the unexpected reveals.
The sheer volume of messages made the chat scroll at lightning speed, with viewers spamming endless emojis, inside jokes, and shocked reactions while the platform's servers struggled to keep up with the explosive traffic.
