Chapter 3847 - So Satisfying
Wherever the violet titanic dragon passed, the land shattered, buildings collapsed in swathes, and numerous formations instantly crumbled. The dragon released a torrent of violet flames that spread everywhere, burning away Fentian He’s palaces and towers. Tens of thousands of Sundown Pantheon members and their beasts were lost in the rampaging dragon’s wake as the entire city fell into chaos.
On the other side, Long Xing wielded an imperial-class spear, skewering enemies one after another. Overflowers Tianming had once found nearly impossible to kill were now being erased with a single tap!
Surrounding Long Xing’s body were nine gold-and-black stars that resembled caged dragons roaring to be unleashed. They were his totems, ascendant morningstars. The nine stars floated high above Fentian Mound, wildly absorbing nova source. Then they underwent their simulacrum and multiplied into tens of thousands of stars that fell like a meteor shower.
After one wave, the entire mound was engulfed in explosions. Corpses burst into dazzling fireworks, and the entire city was set ablaze.
The massacre unleashed by Long Xing carried with it the fury he had bottled up for years. The deeper the hatred in his heart, the more merciless his slaughter was.
Even now, many surviving Sundown Pantheon members still cursed him as a lowborn slave and hurled hatred at the slave race while battered and fleeing. Even in death, their superiority complex showed no signs of fading.
“If that’s the case, there’s no need for mercy.” Long Xing’s spear moved and his totems whirled. He transformed into a blazing beam of starlight that flew through Fentian He’s domain, leaving behind rivers and oceans of blood, and mangled bodies piled into mountains.
That was the destructive might of a cosmic god against lower lifeforms. Not even tens of thousands of astral gods combined could scratch him—even working in concert—let alone mortals or normal gods.
A single cosmic god had changed the fate of Starmoon Haven’s people. In the hearts of all flameyellow descendants, Long Xing was that kind of great man. And that great man, as he cut his way through the battlefield, every step he took, every act he committed, was being recorded. All flameyellow descendants would know what he had done.
Today was only revenge. To the flameyellow descendants, it was merely a small step; if their suffering was an ocean, the vengeance Long Xing enacted today was just settling a single drop in it. There was still so, so much left to avenge!
With the might of a cosmic god, slaughtering an entire city of astral gods didn’t even take that long. The very thing the cosmic gods of Starmoon Haven had once feared had finally come true.
Long Xing’s expression remained cold and he didn’t hold back in the slightest. Soon, nearly Fentian He’s entire clan had been wiped out!
Yin Chen also finally gave the signal. “Leave now.”
“Yes, Boss Chen!” Long Xing immediately regrouped with the violet titanic dragon, and without pausing even for a moment, followed the escape route laid out by the immortabeast. He dashed east out of the city, reining in his luminosity and skimming low across the ground at full speed.
He wasn’t fleeing out of cowardice, but because he was strictly sticking to the plan. No mistakes would be allowed, as Fentian Mound was just the beginning.
But he fully intended to keep killing.
“Little Zi, was it satisfying?” Aside his dragon, Long Xing looked back at the burning Fentian Mound with a wild, savage smile on his face.
“So satisfying! But I’m not satisfied yet!” The violet titanic dragon recalled their entire childhood spent within the accursed city. A boy had been born into a fate he couldn’t control, abused, humiliated, and stripped of dignity. His parents and kin had been brutally murdered, and the boy had accumulated countless wounds since childhood
If he hadn’t become a cosmic god, those wounds would still be there. But even then, the scars inside his heart were still horrifyingly raw.
He had crawled out of that hellish childhood by sheer willpower and relentless cultivation, pushing past one insurmountable obstacle after another. Eventually, he became the leader of his people, leading the three billion flameyellow descendants of Starmoon Haven in rebellion. He had, at the very least, freed them from the clutches of the Eightpart Pantheons’ slavery and oppression.
But Long Xing knew that if he died, everything would return to the way it was. Those three billion would be recaptured one by one and degraded as lesser beings. Starmoon Haven wasn’t just a world, but a cage. Outside that prison, ordinary people that weren’t astral gods couldn’t even survive.
The Upper Star Ruin belonged to the Eightpart Pantheons.
Long Xing carried an unbearable burden in his heart, and his lifebound beast had fought by his side every step of the way. As a ninesource beast, it’d fought and defeated the Sundown Pantheon lifebound beasts that had twenty crests and above. Every battle had been fought with the determination to surpass its limits and hard won through sheer will.
“What would make you fully satisfied?” Long Xing asked, his eyes burning as he looked at the dragon.
“If I could... I’d want every single person on this star—aside from our own kind—to die! I don’t care if they’re men, women, children, elderly, weak, or sick. If they aren’t one of us, they die!” The violet titanic dragon’s eyes burned with eternal hatred as it took a deep breath. “But first... the hypocritical saints have to die!”
“Those who haven’t suffered have no right to preach kindness....” Long Xing understood the dragon’s hatred toward an entire race. It hadn’t been born from a single day, or one event. Every gleaming building and beam of light in this glittering world was built on their people's suffering. Whips and blades were routine. You either survived them or died.
“But chances like this are too rare.” The dragon looked to the heavens. “Although we have the emperor now, a savior for our kind, he carries a heavy mission. The Upper Star Ruin still belongs to the Eightpart Pantheons. With just him, and a few of us struggling nobodies, going up against all eight pantheons is too hard. Almost impossible.
“Right now, my only dream is that his plan works. That before the strong ones from other worlds take notice, we rescue all the ten billion of our people from the Midsky Tristars, and bring them to the Sun.... If we can do that, we can meet our ancestors with pride!”
“Yes. It’ll be hard. But saving people’s the top priority now.” Long Xing gazed up at the firmament, a glimmer of light in his eyes. He continued, “It isn’t just us versus the eight pantheons. The Upper Star Ruin still has other ancient families, strong races, and ancient nations! The Eightpart Pantheons haven't fully conquered them yet, either. They may be quiet now, and lack authority... but if we can earn their support, the emperor just might have a real future!”
