Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 3713 - Heavenly Oath

Chapter 3713 - Heavenly Oath

"Someone’s giving chase!" Long Qian warned. Everyone looked behind and saw more than ten ether-and infinitum-class ships coming their way! Half of them were gold and silver, a sign that they belonged to the Scorchmoon Cult. The other half was radiant and colorful, being ships from the Blazestar Cult.

"Jiang Linxi and Mo Fan have returned," Long Qian said.

"Are those two cult leaders?" Tianming asked.

"Yes!"

"What's their level?"

"Both sixth-level overflowers! Jiang Linxi has a 16-crest beast while Mo Fan has a 17-fold simulacrum! Neither I nor the great elder is their match. Not to mention, they have far too many fifth-level overflowers like me!"

"What about the Wargod Cult? Are they also a faction belonging to the divine devan race?" The three divine races—deva, ashura, and wonderian—were even more terrifying than the rest of their ilk in the Eightpart Pantheons.

"Yes! Their cult leader’s even stronger!" Long Qian said. It would be no easy task to save the dragonoids and move their middlekin stars away.

If Zi Zhen can come here, we'd have a chance to break their ranks. However, we can't just abandon God Domain One. I shouldn’t rush to play my hand! Tianming thought. Even without Zi Zhen there, they could still hold up with Moran around. Not to mention, the ten thousand dragonoids weren't a force to scoff at. For now, their pursuers were only the Blazestar and Scorchmoon Cults.

"So there’s only around ten ships on our tail, right?" Tianming knew what they were thinking. The cults were no doubt worried about him destroying their flagships, so the ones they sent were ones that they wouldn't mind losing. It was clear what they were planning.

Tianming decided to focus on destroying their ships and leaving! It'll be trouble if any of their crew members get on my ship and start boring holes to infiltrate it.

He had the ship charge up on nova source. Just as he was about to act, a cold, female voice came ringing from one of the ships. "Long Qian, think about what’ll happen to the five million slaves in this Middlekin Star Ruin if you escape!"

Elsewhere, the leader of the Blazestar Cult, Mo Fan, hissed, "Stop now and they might just survive! Otherwise you'll regret it for the rest of your life!"

"Wait!" Long Qian cried right as Tianming was about to destroy their ships. He knew how it felt to have someone he cared about held hostage. "Let me go out."

Long Qian left the ship from one of the heads of the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. Two radiant figures appeared in the distance, emerging from their respective ships. They were around sixty meters tall.

Jiang Linxi had a head of blonde hair, fair skin, and an incredibly enchanting figure. Mo Fan, on the other hand, was a middle-aged man clad in a grand, astral robe. The two of them had imposing auras and were surrounded by astral radiance. No doubt, they were among the most powerful people in this Middlekin Star Ruin. The cosmoforce that flowed within their bodies was powerful enough to seep through the armor of ships and apply pressure on Tianming and the rest.

"We wish to see the owner of this divine astralship!" Jiang Linxi sneered.

"That old man doesn’t wish to see you," Long Qian said.

"Old man? Someone who hides in an astralship can't be that powerful, right?" Jiang Linxi chuckled.

"If you dare, you can come and test him out," Long Qian said fearlessly and calmly.

"I can't be bothered wasting words on you," Mo Fan said, then turned and looked at the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. "Pilot of this ship, I advise you to come out and announce your identity. Otherwise your family and friends will be wrapped up in this!"

The two cult leaders were from the Eightpart Pantheons, and they didn’t like to be trifled with.

"There's no need to threaten people with your status. People like you from the Eightpart Pantheons are all too common in the Upper Star Ruin. It no longer packs any punch," Long Qian said.

"You say that, but nobody else from the Eightpart Pantheons would be willing to stand up for slaves like you! That person must be someone who isn’t one of us—someone like you!" Jiang Linxi snickered.

"It must be another slave who managed to steal a divine astralship, I see. It seems like he isn’t confident enough to show his true power," Mo Fan said. The two were of the same camp and operating in such a way as to inspire disgust from everyone in the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.

"Long Qian!" Jiang Linxi looked down on her from on high. "Since this so-called old senior of yours isn't even capable of making an appearance, I'll tell you a few things, then!"

"What do you want to say?" Long Qian looked up at her.

"We’ve set our sights on this divine astralship!" Jiang Linxi arrogantly said. A ship that was capable of defeating the Scorchmoon was no doubt priceless.

"Dream on!" Long Qian snapped.

"I knew that you wouldn't cave just like that, so let's talk terms."

"There's no terms to talk. The ship doesn't belong to us."

"How about trading it for a million of your kind?" Mo Fan said.

Long Qian shook just as the dragonoids in the ship did. But soon, she shook her head. She knew that the astralship was their key to emancipation! If they lost it, how would they leave? There would be no leverage they could use against the Three Great Cults to save their people! It was a trap! She immediately turned back toward the ship. "Enough talk. There's no point."

Just then, Jiang Linxi smirked. "Is that so? Sounds like the lives of a million slaves aren't worth as much as a single astralship, eh? Very well. I'll tell that to your people so they know who to hate! Then I'll kill them all! It's just a million, right? I bet livestock like you will soon breed enough to bring those numbers up again!"

Long Qian's body froze as infinite rage burned in her eyes. She turned back and coldly glared at the woman. "If you want to push us into desperation, it won't end well for you, either! With this ship, I can guarantee that you won't be able to harvest any middlekin stars if you dare kill my people!"

"Oh, really? That sounds like a tall order for you. Are you sure you're capable of it?" Mo Fan said with a smirk.

"That's right... she's even grown so bold as to threaten us. To avoid all that trouble, let me propose a solution." She deeply looked into Long Qian's eyes. "How about the two of us establish a heavenly oath?"
