Chapter 5893: Self-Created Technique

Chapter 5893: Self-Created Technique

Liu Minghao raised a single hand. Countless runes swirled across his arm, forming a radiant armor-like layer. With that, he directly blocked Qifeng’s lightning sword, stunning the crowd.

Long Chen simply smiled when he saw this. Liu Minghao was truly worthy of being the Undying race’s greatest heavenly genius. His comprehension ability was truly stunning.

In the Seven Treasure Space, he had never used this move. Clearly, it was something he had just comprehended.

Even Liu Xihua was moved. This technique was something she had never seen before. In other words, this technique was not one from the Undying Willow race’s inheritance—it was a self-created divine ability.

“Liu Minghao didn’t create those seventeen thousand clones just to confuse his opponent. He used them to forcibly raise his power to the peak in an instant. Why didn’t I ever think of such a technique?” Liu Ruyan sighed emotionally.

She was also considered a peak genius, someone who had slaughtered her way into the immortal world from the mortal world alongside Long Chen. In terms of combat experience, she had far more than Liu Minghao.

But Liu Minghao had created something completely new, something even she had never considered. That alone proved his superior comprehension.

The Undying race possessed boundless core energy, vast like an ocean. In drawn-out battles, they were virtually unmatched.

However, they had a fatal weakness—one that Long Chen had once pointed out: the time it took to mobilize that immense energy.

If an ordinary cultivator’s power was like an easily lit torch, then theirs was like a mountain of coal. It held far more energy, but igniting the entire mountain took too long.

That was why, despite being Sovereign sprouts, they were instantly slaughtered the moment they entered the Seven Treasure Space. The enemies there never gave them time to warm up. Killing blows came the instant they appeared, so they didn’t even have a chance to summon their power.

After realizing this flaw, all of them worked hard to make up for it by using various techniques to ignite their full strength faster.

In the past, it might’ve taken an incense stick’s time to fully mobilize their power. That might be good enough against average opponents, but not against someone like Long Chen. They’d be dead hundreds of times over in that span.

After undergoing the Seven Treasure Space’s hellish torment, they realized the Undying race had many weaknesses, and they had to cover them up with their own methods.

Liu Qingyu and Luyao’s battle was a stark example. No matter how powerful Luyao was, if he couldn't unleash his strength, it was meaningless. He died before he could act.

Unlike Luyao, Qifeng had immediately unleashed his full power. In the past, this speed would have overwhelmed any Undying race disciple.

However, Liu Minghao had devised a unique solution. His clones weren’t ordinary—they were something between spiritual projections and true clones.

It was as if each clone had been peeled from his true body, and they could instantly rejoin with him. Each clone summoned its own manifestation and heaven veins. When they returned to him, all their gathered power surged into his core, instantly pushing him to his peak.

In a single breath, Liu Minghao reached his full power. Among the Undying race’s junior generation, he was the only one capable of such a feat.

Liu Minghao held Qifeng’s lightning sword firmly, Undying qi blazing around him. The lightning sword trembled in his grip, but it couldn’t move.

He was like a completely different person. After this transformation, Liu Minghao seemed truly invincible.

Qifeng was shaken. He hadn’t expected Liu Minghao’s aura to be this terrifying. Gritting his teeth, he exuded boundless killing intent. This kind of opponent couldn’t be allowed to live.

Qifeng’s wings lightning quivered, and twin lightning blades slashed toward Liu Minghao’s neck.

BOOM!

The wings sliced through the air, but Liu Minghao wasn’t injured at all despite standing right where he had been. At the last instant, he had shoved Qifeng back and dodged effortlessly.

The two opponents looked at each other.

The tension between the two races soared. Although Liu Minghao appeared to have a slight upper hand, this was just a probing exchange. No one could claim victory yet.

This exchange allowed all sides to see just how terrifying the combatants were.

Now, the Devil Eye Water Lily race no longer dared to take Liu Minghao lightly.

And the Undying race knew that defeating Qifeng would take more than a lucky strike—there would be no repeat of Liu Qingyu’s swift kill against Luyao.

Although Liu Qingyu had claimed the first win, this second battle was just as crucial. Qifeng needed a victory, but so did the Undying race.

They were determined to end things here, to avoid a third match.

Because they could all feel it—that short man’s aura was off. There was something primal about it, something that made their instincts scream. Yuanshan was definitely a monster amongst monsters.

If they won this battle, Long Chen wouldn’t have to face him. They all saw the way Lian Sanqiang looked at Long Chen—with murderous intent.

Although they believed in Long Chen’s, an existence that Lian Sanqiang viewed so highly couldn’t be weak. So both sides were desperate to win this battle.

“You’re very strong,” Qifeng said, his shock slowly fading into a sinister smile. “But you’ll still die by my hand.”

“Confidence is a good thing, but conceit is not. A person should remain respectful—or else they’re no different from a frog at the bottom of a well,” remarked Liu Minghao.

He remained composed as ever, like an ancient well untouched by storm. Nothing could ripple his surface.

“A frog at the bottom of a well? Hahaha! Well said!” Qifeng sneered. “Your Undying race has hidden away since the primal chaos era. You have no idea how the world has changed. If anyone’s a frog in a well, it’s you!”

Liu Minghao looked at him indifferently, unbothered. That silence made Qifeng’s laughter feel forced—as if he were a clown performing to no audience.

“I won’t waste more time,” Qifeng spat. “Today, I’ll teach a frog like you what true power is!”

He clapped his hands together, and runes erupted in the air behind him. Then, space cracked apart like broken glass.

BOOM!

The void exploded.

From within the rift, an enormous figure emerged, emitting a frightening aura.
