Mesmerizing Ghost Doctor

Chapter 4728: Little Fox

Chapter 4728: Little Fox

“Why have you stopped? Are you tired and need to rest?” one of the men asked with a smile, stopping his pursuit as well.

“What are you following me for?” Yue’er frowned, walking to the grassy verge by the side of the road and sitting down. She then pulled buns from her spatial storage to eat. Spirit energy was very consuming, making her hungry, especially given her young age.

Seeing her eating the meat buns, the men smiled. “We are idle cultivators,” one explained. “We usually just travel around and have nothing particular to do. We happened to come across such an interesting little girl, so we decided to keep you company so you won’t be bored on your journey.”

Hearing this, Yue’er continued eating her bun and didn’t respond, merely looking at them with her beautiful, large eyes.

“Little girl, what’s your name? It’s alright to tell us, right?” one of them asked with a smile.

After swallowing her bun, Yue’er slowly replied, “It doesn’t really matter if I tell you my name, but you don’t look like good people. My mother told me that when I’m out, I shouldn’t tell strangers my name.”

Hearing this, the group paused for a moment, exchanged glances, and then, with strange expressions, one of them asked, “Do we look like bad people?”

“Bad people don’t write it on their faces,” Yue’er continued, glancing at them. “Besides, you’ve been following me. It’s very suspicious. You’re not kidnapping children, are you?” As she spoke, a hint of genuine fear flickered across her small face.

“Hahahaha, you little girl, you’re really interesting!” The man named Shen Shiqi looked up and burst into laughter, clearly pleased. He said with great interest, “Don’t worry, we’re not bad people. My surname is Shen, and I’m the seventeenth child in my family, so my friends call me Shen Shiqi. Little girl, what’s your name?”

“Shiqi? Seventeen?” Yue’er blinked. “I have a bodyguard who is also called Seventeen.”

“Oh? It seems we have quite a connection,” he smiled, looking at her. “What about you? What’s your name? It’s alright to tell us, right?”

Yue’er stared at them for a moment, then thought about it. “My name is Yun Qi. My master named me.”

“Yun Qi? Hehe, see what I said? I told you we had a connection. I’m Shiqi, and you’re Little Qi.1” He smiled lightly, looking at her with a friendly and familiar expression. “Little Qi, what’s your master’s name?”

Yue’er glanced at him, stuffed another bun into her mouth, shook her head, and said, “I can’t just tell you my master’s name. It would scare you to death.” They wanted to find out her master’s name? She wasn’t going to tell them!

When the others heard this, they looked at each other and chuckled. One of them said, “It’s alright, we’re very brave and won’t be easily scared. Who knows, maybe we even know your master!”

Yue’er ate several buns in a row. Seeing that there were only a few left, she put them away, stood up, glanced at them, and said with a smile, “I’m not a three-year-old child. I said I won’t tell you, so I won’t tell you. It’s useless to coax me!”

As soon as she finished speaking, she darted several meters away, made a funny face at them, and smiled slyly like a fox. “I’m leaving! You guys rest here for a while!”

Hearing this, the group suddenly had a very bad feeling…
