Chapter 3791: Mortal Killing An Immortal
The battle continued as again and again the antelope charged. While Little Bull was thrown backward multiple times. His movements appeared crude and his technique seemed nonexistent.
He fought exactly as a village hunter might, straight punches, reckless kicks and sudden grabs. Yet every spectator slowly began noticing something strange, Little Bull wasn’t getting injured.
Not even slightly.
The antelope’s horns repeatedly struck him, its hooves slammed into his body and several direct impacts landed against his chest and shoulders. Yet there was no blood, no broken bones and certainly no torn flesh.
Just nothing .
The Junior Elder unconsciously touched his own finger as he remembered the registration process vividly when they had tried to draw out Bull’s blood. The methods they used were ineffective until finally Elder He Jian was forced to use a Qi technique just to draw a single drop of blood.
At the time, it had seemed absurd. Now they were witnessing the practical implications. The antelope’s horns, capable of impaling immortals, couldn’t even pierce Little Bull’s skin.
"What kind of body is that?" a disciple muttered.
One of the body cultivation elders shook his head slowly. "I’ve seen body cultivators specializing in defense. I’ve seen ancient bloodlines. And I’ve seen spirit beasts born with natural armor."
He took a breath before adding, "But I’ve never seen a mortal like this."
The battle stretched onward as five, ten and then fifteen minutes passed. The spectators remained glued to their seats. Many had forgotten this was merely a recruitment assessment.
Inside the illusion, Little Bull suddenly stopped running as the antelope charged once more. Several elders immediately narrowed their eyes but then they sensed something. Little Bull planted his feet just before the antelope accelerated.
Its horns gleamed as the distance vanished within a second and the impact arrived. The horns struck Little Bull directly but this time he didn’t dodge. Instead, his hands shot forward and he grabbed both horns.
The entire illusionary forest shook as the antelope pushed and Little Bull slid backward dozens of meters. The earth split beneath his feet and the beast continued driving forward making Little Bull groan.
Finding the right moment, Little Bull grunted and then suddenly pulled himself upward using the horns. The movement was crude and completely lacked technique but it worked. His body rose above the beast’s head before both his feet descended.
BOOM!
His heels crashed directly onto the antelope’s skull.
Seeing the impact, the spectators winced while the antelope staggered. Its eyes lost focus and the powerful charge stopped instantly. The beast had been concussed!
Before it could recover though, Little Bull moved and leaped forward. One foot slammed directly into the beast’s left eye and a fraction of a moment later the eye burst!
KHREEEEEE~
The antelope screamed in horrifying pain, but Little Bull shoved harder until his entire leg disappeared into the beast’s skull!
SQUEALCH!
The spectators just stared, for the scene was brutally direct. There was no elegant technique, or hidden strategy. It was just raw unfiltered violence.
A few moments later Little Bull twisted his leg as the antelope convulsed and finally the beast collapsed and dissolved into countless particles.
Silence followed while several disciples looked pale. Some even appeared to be impressed. The elders, however, were focused on something entirely different.
"The moment he allowed himself to be hit wasn’t recklessness." one elder muttered. "He understood he couldn’t catch it."
"So he created an opportunity." Another nodded. "He used himself as bait. He willingly accepted the charge."
A body cultivation elder laughed. "That’s exactly how old body cultivators fight."
The discussions intensified as the victory itself was shocking. A mortal had defeated a First Tribulation Immortal Beast!
The method of victory made it even more memorable.
Yet before the spectators could fully process what they had seen, the illusion shifted again. The sky darkened and the forest became eerily quiet. It was clear that the formation was preparing the next opponent.
Many disciples immediately sat upright. Some thought the assessment would stop but the others knew better. The array automatically increased difficulty until the participant was defeated.
A new figure emerged and the moment it appeared, many elders frowned.
"A Hell Ball Python."
The gigantic serpent slithered from the shadows. Its body stretched nearly thirty meters long, as dark crimson scales covered every inch of its muscular frame, and each scale reflected light like forged armor, while its eyes glowed with malevolent intelligence.
It was at the Second Tribulation Stage, a full stage higher than the previous beast. The pressure alone felt overwhelming as Little Bull stared upward. "Big snake."
The serpent hissed before suddenly attacking. The speed surprised everyone for a creature that large should not have moved so quickly. Its body became a blur, as the massive jaws snapped toward Little Bull.
The battle began immediately, but this time the difference became apparent. Little Bull’s punches landed again and again, but the serpent endured. Its scales resisted his attacks. Sure, some of the scales shattered and several cracked, making the beast bleed, but it remained dangerous.
For the first time, Little Bull couldn’t simply overpower his opponent. The battle stretched onward as the serpent attacked relentlessly and Little Bull continued fighting. The spectators watched in complete silence.
Many disciples who had originally mocked him were now paying close attention. Almost half an hour later, the battle eventually reached its climax. The serpent suddenly abandoned direct attacks.
Instead, its enormous body coiled around Little Bull three times before it tightened.
"UGH!" Little Bull groaned, feeling the immense weight.
But the pressure continued to increase as the coils compressed, making Little Bull struggle. The serpent squeezed harder as cracking sounds echoed making many spectators frowned.
Several body cultivation elders looked particularly serious. They understood exactly how dangerous constriction attacks were as strength became meaningless once movement was restricted.
Little Bull continued struggling as his muscles bulged and tried to resist the serpent. But it only made the serpent tighten further in anger.
Minutes passed and eventually his movements slowed before finally... They stopped.
