Chapter 3123: Heaven’s Oath Guardian

Chapter 3123: Heaven’s Oath Guardian

In response to the Grand Elder’s attack, Lin Mu’s figure blurred once again, disappearing in a flash, leaving only fluctuations of spatial energy.

He reappeared high above, golden eyes gleaming with anticipation. Both Afternoon Pine and Ocean Raker blazed in his hands, their spirits roaring as power surged through them.

"Now, let us see how you fare against this," Lin Mu murmured, his voice carried by the winds.

He brought down Afternoon Pine first.

The sword’s light split the sky, transforming into a colossal yellow pine tree of pure metal qi intermingling with sword intent. The tree towered a kilometer high, its branches radiating Sword Intent sharp enough to sever mountains, each leaf shimmering like a blade.

At the same moment, Ocean Raker sang.

From its blue edge burst a pillar of ocean-blue energy, cascading downward before splitting into a massive claw of water and sword Qi combined. The claw raked the ground with overwhelming force, each streak a wave of destructive power, turning the battlefield into a churning ocean of blue light.

The combination was titanic, the earth trembling beneath its descent.

Elyons’s eyes widened in recognition. "That... Was that what he used against High Elder Yan Dao?" He remembered it from the description that Daoist Chu and Meng Bai had told him.

"Indeed." Daoist Chu affirmed.

"Strong... Very strong." Cattaleya’s gaze turned serious, her mind already thinking of ways to deal with an attack like that.

Grand Elder Huo stood his ground, his single eye locked on the storm descending upon him. His lips curled into a grin, fierce and delighted.

"So this is the famed strike. I have waited to feel it with my own blade!" While he had seen it before, experiencing it head on was an entirely unique feeling.

He raised Solemn Sentinel high above his head, his aura swelling to a terrifying peak. The silver blade blazed with a brilliance that pierced the heavens, its resonance shaking the very fabric of the world.

’He’s at the Sword Heart Stage of Sword Intent like me, but several notches above.’ He couldn’t help but admit.

Lin Mu could sense the very Fabric of Space being strained from the sheer amount of Sword Intent the Grand Elder was emanating.

"Then let me answer your strike with mine!"

With a voice that carried across the land, he roared, "Solemn Sentinel’s innate skill—Heaven’s Oath Guardian!"

At once, a pillar of silver light erupted from the blade, shooting skyward and piercing the heavens.

Within that light, a massive figure took form: a colossal guardian wrought of Sword Qi, armored in gleaming silver and holding a great blade that mirrored Solemn Sentinel itself. Its presence was immovable, unyielding, a sentinel standing in defiance of all that threatened the heavens it swore to protect.

The guardian raised its blade, and with a sound like the tolling of a divine bell, it brought the sword crashing down.

DONGGGGGGG

The strike was not merely an attack, it was beyond that. It was a vow, a promise that nothing would pass its defense. It was the embodiment of eternal vigilance.

Yellow pine branches met silver steel. Azure claws clashed against radiant armor.

The world erupted.

The ground split apart in all directions, gorges tearing open as molten rock spewed forth.

The sky above rumbled like a collapsing firmament, clouds shredded by the shockwaves.

The sound was deafening, a clash of vows and destruction echoing across the horizon.

Daoist Chu’s barrier flared desperately, shielding Meng Bai, Elyon, and Cattaleya as the aftermath of the collision surged toward them. Even from their distance, the force was enough to rattle bones and pound against their minds.

Elyon’s fur bristled, his eyes gleaming with awe. "Incredible. This... this is no mere spar. This is can be called a war itself."

Cattaleya’s lips curved into a wild grin, her battle-hungry spirit ignited. "Yes. YES! This is how cultivators are meant to fight. With no walls, no chains, only strength against strength."

The clash raged for what felt like eternity, though in truth only moments passed.

Finally, the blinding light began to dim.

The colossal guardian wavered, its sword dissolving into sparks of silver Qi. The towering pine splintered, its branches scattering as countless yellow shards before fading away. The great ocean claw receded, breaking apart into torrents of harmless blue mist.

When the dust cleared, both Lin Mu and Grand Elder Huo still stood, their swords raised, their eyes burning with unquenched fire. Neither had yielded, neither had fallen.

The watchers knew then... this was far from over.

This was only the beginning, but the duel had reached the point where even the onlookers could barely breathe, much less blink.

Sword intent, elemental force, and the roar of clashing Dao all tangled together into a storm that shook the world itself. But Lin Mu was far from finished.

He let out a low growl as the magma that clung to his body thickened, glowing brighter until cracks of molten fire pulsed through his armor. The Longgui Bulwark Armor suddenly flared, its innate skill erupting forth—

Magma Fury.

His form warped, turning into something far more monstrous.

"Magma Asura!"

Lin Mu’s gauntlets stretched into massive clawed hands, dripping with molten slag, each finger glowing as if forged from the heart of a volcano. From his back, four jagged tentacles burst forth, formed of rock and molten magma, writhing like the limbs of a primeval beast.

Lin Mu’s eyes blazed with the same incandescent fire, and his breathing became a thunderous rhythm that echoed across the battlefield.

He released his grip on Afternoon Pine and Ocean Raker.

Instantly, two of the magma tentacles coiled around the swords, raising them high into the air before sending them slashing in a relentless rhythm.

Another tentacle twisted forward, summoning Wonder Seeker, the great bow that gleamed with overflowing qi along its limbs. The final tentacle seized the bowstring, conjuring magma-formed arrows that screamed through the air without pause.

Now, his hands were free—free to fight as fists.

The Grand Elder’s one eye narrowed, his lips curling into a savage grin.
