Chapter 2737: A Bizarre Dragon

Chapter 2737: A Bizarre Dragon

There was no lack of experts on the frigate, and they quickly identified the shadow to be a massive iceberg in the ocean. Unlike other clear and pristine icebergs, this one was grayish and dull.

“Careful! There’s an iceberg ahead,” one of the crew members shouted.

“Shatter it,” Yani commanded.

Their frigate was big enough to crash through most icebergs without taking any damage, but she sensed something amiss about the iceberg and thus decided to play it safe.

The crew members shot beams at the iceberg.

The white-haired butler pulled Isabella behind him for protection, whereas the other guests quickly gathered around Isabella while uttering cheesy lines like “Don’t worry, I’ll protect you.”

Zu An watched as the destructive beam struck the iceberg.

Boom!

A third of the iceberg was shaved away, and cracks appeared in other areas. It looked as if it was going to shatter very soon.

But the crowd on the frigate looked grim. Normal icebergs would have completely shattered upon being struck by that beam, yet only a portion of it had shattered after so many attacks. Something was off about it.

The relatively calm ocean suddenly became tumultuous, as if the surrounding water had begun to boil. Huge waves raged, undermining even the frigate’s stability formation. As a result, those standing on the deck began sliding from side to side.

“Be careful, big miss!”

“Guests, please make sure to hold onto something.”

“Prepare for battle!”

...

The ocean ahead of them slowly parted, and an enormous dragon raised its head.

The crowd finally understood what that iceberg was. It was a tumor growing on the dragon’s head; it was only encased in thick ice because it was on an ice dragon.

And now, the ice dragon was fuming after having its tumor struck.

Zu An was stunned. It wasn't his first time fighting a dragon, but compared to what stood before him, the ones he'd fought were nothing more than snakes. The pressure he felt was on a completely different level.

He had also never seen a dragon with such a color—it was an unnerving grayish-white.

Dragons weren’t rare entities in the Myriad Worlds. There were even worlds where they were considered a delicacy. For that reason, the guests didn’t show much fear upon seeing this one.

One even flew over and laughed heartily. “Miss Isabella, please watch as I vanquish the beast blocking your way!”

Two more guests joined him to flaunt their valor to Isabella.

Zu An was flabbergasted. I should have known there are bootlickers in every world... But still, are these fellows out of their minds to challenge that dragon? Or are the experts of the Myriad Worlds that strong?

The one who came forward first was worried others would steal his limelight, so he roared, “I’ll be taking the life of this beast!”

He whipped out a spear and charged at the grayish-white dragon with a revolving motion that quickly brewed a tornado. Due to the wind from his movements, a fifty-meter-wide gap formed in the waters, and any fish or sea monsters that came close to the tornado exploded into a bloody mist.

Zu An could tell that it wasn't really a tornado, though. Every gust of wind was a spear sweep. That man’s spearmanship is impressive.

The spearman looked at the grayish-white dragon in front of him and smirked.

This big oaf isn’t reacting even though I’m already this close to it. Hmph! Does it intend to take my ultimate move head-on? It’s courting death!

If I can kill this dragon in a single blow, I might win Miss Isabella’s heart with my valor and rise to the top of the world...

All of a sudden, he narrowed his eyes and exclaimed, “No, this is...”

His words were cut short. The grayish-white dragon opened its mouth and devoured him together with the tornado.

Urp~

As if it was showing respect for the spearman’s all-out attack, the dragon burped.

Zu An was stunned. You were still looking incredible a second ago, so why did you get gobbled up in the next second?

Cold sweat trickled down his back. Had he been up against that spearman, he would have had to resort to his many skills to create a window for victory.

And yet, that spearman hadn’t lasted a second against the dragon. The incredible tornado of spears he'd brewed with his spearmanship had failed to pierce the dragon’s scales.

Mocking laughter echoed from the sky. “Useless. Someone with mediocre skills shouldn’t be sullying Miss Isabella’s eyes. Watch me instead!”

That person murmured an incantation and morphed into a massive avatar that towered even over the dragon. “Miss Isabella, I’ll scale that lizard for you to make a belt.”

The avatar reached out to grab the dragon by the neck. In his eyes, the dragon was merely a massive snake, so it should share the same weakness as well. His hands moved at a speed at odds with his massive size, grabbing the dragon almost instantaneously.

He was about to twist the dragon’s head off when he saw disdain flash through the dragon’s eyes. He exclaimed in horror, “H-how is this possible...”

The dragon’s grayish-white aura crept onto the avatar’s hand, causing it to swiftly deflate like a punctured ball. The aura continued to encroach toward the guest until it finally touched him.

The arrogant man froze up. He plummeted onto the ocean surface, shattering into countless pieces.

The crowd on the frigate was stunned.

The third man in the sky was dressed like a cowboy in a Western movie. He harrumphed. “Only fools would engage an ice dragon in close-quarters combat.”

Zu An frowned. He realized the grayish-white aura wasn't ice, but something he was very familiar with—death energy!

The cowboy made a move before he could be warned, though. He whipped out a gun from his waist. The gun’s barrel extended then continued rapidly transforming as if it had come out of a Transformers movie, until it was a huge cannon barrel.

“Eat my lightning cannon!” The cowboy roared in laughter as he pulled the trigger.

A blue light burst out of the barrel and instantly struck the dragon’s forehead.

Pah!

The dragon’s head exploded, blasting flesh bits into the surroundings. Its body plummeted into the ocean, raising huge waves.

The cowboy descended slightly so that the huge waves could serve as his backdrop. He performed a bow toward the frigate and said, “My dear Miss Isabella, this is my gift to you. Are you satisfied?”

But what he thought was a cool action didn’t spur any reactions. Confused, he raised his head and saw the crowd staring past him with fearful eyes.
