Chapter 5331: Resonance I

Noah gazed across the Gilded Ones with boundless Tyranny, and his heart began to beat!

DUM!

DUM!

DUM!

It was not a ridiculous metaphor for nerves. He felt it in his chest, a single heavy beat that did not belong entirely to his body, and the sound of it boomed outward across Chernobyl, a drum struck once and then again, the rhythm spreading across the reborn Observable Existence with a resonance that should not have been possible.

His gaze settled particularly on Luxanna, and as the drum of his heart sounded, he felt something he had not felt before. The beat of his heart resonated with Chernobyl itself, the Observable Existence answering the rhythm as though his heart and its foundations were the same instrument played by the same hand.

Such a thing should not have been a thought in any being’s mind. An existence becoming one with an Observable Existence was not a concept that the frameworks of cultivation accounted for, because beings lived within Observable Existences, they did not...merge with them.

But Noah was not conventional. His Scales were his own. His path had never matched anyone else’s, and at this moment he looked at Chernobyl and asked himself a simple question!

Had he not resuscitated it?

Did its makeup not now hold his Prime Causes, installed by his own hands where the failing common Causes had been? Was it not backed by his Infinite Cause, the same Cause that backed THE Infiniverse, the Cause that had brought this domain back from death? He could express his power through THE Aura of THE Source Barbarian. That was his own strength, carried in his own existence. But if his Prime Causes lived inside Chernobyl’s structure, expressing themselves on behalf of an entire Observable Existence, then what stopped him from pulling on that power too?

What stopped him from exerting the full immensity of Chernobyl as though every being fighting here was fighting within his domain?

Because, truly, they were!

DUM! DUM! DUM!

The drums boomed louder!

The glorious sound of Quintessence spread across Chernobyl, and beings throughout the battlefield faltered as the entire Observable Existence seemed to resonate with the beat, the reborn domain pulsing in time with the heart of the being who had rebuilt it!

You have achieved a unified state with THE Observable Existence of Chernobyl, which holds your Prime Causes and the backing of your Infinite Cause within its structural foundation. This phenomenon has no precedent in standard frameworks. Beings inhabit Observable Existences. They do not become one with them. Your resuscitation of Chernobyl, and your installation of your own Prime Cause architecture into its First Cause, has produced a connection that allows your existence to command the full immensity of the domain.|

|While resonant with an Observable Existence backed by your Prime Causes and Infinite Cause, you command that Observable Existence as an extension of your own existence. Any movement you make is backed by the full power and immensity of the domain. The Observable Existence itself fights on your behalf. Its substrate, its Prime Causes, its foundational authority, all of it answers to your intention.|

|Effects within THE Domain of the Genesis Monarch:|

|Containment: You may shut out or shut in any existence at the Fourth Scale, sealing enemies within the domain so they cannot flee or barring others from entering. Rare exceptions apply to beings carrying Akashic Civilizational Intents of the third rarity or higher, or unique factors not accounted for, who may resist or partially resist the containment.|

|Suppression: Enemy existences within the domain find their power diminished and their movements restricted, the Observable Existence itself turning against them, the substrate they stand upon refusing to support them as it supports you.|

|Empowerment: Your allies within the domain are elevated, the Observable Existence lending its immensity to those you favor, their power amplified by the domain’s backing.|

|Sovereignty of Action: Any expression of your power is compounded by the domain’s full immensity. A gesture from you is not a gesture from a single being. It is the action of an entire Observable Existence directed through your intention.|

|Resilience: While resonant, harming you requires harming the Observable Existence itself, making you extraordinarily difficult to kill within the domain’s bounds. Damage directed at you is distributed across the domain’s immensity and absorbed.|

Noah’s mind buzzed with the knowledge of exactly what he could now do!

He understood it completely in the span of a single drum-beat. He was not a being standing in a battlefield anymore. He was the battlefield!

Chernobyl was his, foundation to surface, and everyone fighting within it was fighting inside the body of his domain, and he could move that body the way he moved his own hand.

So he moved his hand.

He raised it, slowly, like a conductor calling an orchestra to attention, and across the regions of Chernobyl, the effects began.

The very air and existence that the Gilded Ones floated within began to constrict. It pressed around them from all sides, the substrate they occupied turning against them, the immensity of the Prime Causes that made up Chernobyl, his Prime Causes, bearing down on every single Gilded One across the battlefield.

They felt the domain itself become hostile, the ground beneath their power refusing to hold them, the air and space becoming a weight, the Observable Existence they had invaded recognizing them as foreign and rejecting them.

Then Noah waved his arm!

HUUM!

An invisible force, stemming from the Observable Existence itself rather than from his body, smashed into the assembled Gilded Ones. The myriad Fourth Scale Gilded Ones and the few Devonian Paleozoic Third Scale Gilded Ones among them were struck simultaneously by a blow that came from everywhere at once, a blow that was Chernobyl itself striking them on Noah’s behalf.

Many of them had their Akashic Civilizational Intents bypassed entirely, because their Intents were records imposed on existence, and within THE Domain of the Genesis Monarch, the existence they tried to impose their records upon already belonged to someone else.

Their Intents had nothing to grip! The invisible force tore through them and they were heavily injured, Fourth Scale beings sent reeling by the wrath of a domain that had decided they were trespassers!
