Chapter 3888: Repeat after me! I
"Master Tan..."
The name echoed in sorrow.
Kalysta froze as the words fell, remembering this unique being!
A sharp gasp caught in the throat of one of the other Primarchs, while Master Etheopa...bellowed!
"You- !" Her voice cracked through the air heavily. "Master Tan went missing a million years ago! You...! You devoured him?!"
Her body trembled, the pain behind her madness unmistakable. The golden garden around her blazed as its petals danced violently in the frost, burning like a sun had been trapped in the cold.
Hannibal, broken and kneeling, pulsed with lividity at even having to reveal this!
But Noah... remained unmoved.
He stood above him, arms behind his back, the frost at his feet undisturbed.
"Do you feel it?" His voice was soft. "The weight pressing down on your existence?"
Master Hannibal’s lips quivered. He could barely lift his face, blood clinging to the edge of his jaw. He gave a slight, almost imperceptible nod.
Noah’s eyes glinted with pale golden light as he continued. "What you feel now is nothing. I could apply a hundred times more. A thousand times. Do you think your existence could hold under that pressure?"
"..."
Master Hannibal’s face twitched. He had once thought himself untouchable. A Master of Existence! A creature who had scaled past countless others to sit at the peak of power.
But in this moment, as his body refused to rise, and as the frost gnawed at his insides like it held a grudge, he realized how wrong he had been.
"I... I would not be able to hold" he rasped hatefully. "It... it would shatter me."
He couldn’t even look to the Mannafolds Master, Torus who had, at some point, become utterly still a few feet away. Even he dared not move.
Hannibal’s teeth grit as his voice echoed, his mind thinking of all possibilities to get out of this- his eyes beginning to look towards the dormant Inevitabilities as he thought how to wake them!
So he asked to buy time.
"What do you want?"
HUUM!
The question floated upward like snow.
Noah’s eyes narrowed. "I want you to repeat a few things after me. If you can do that, I might let you go."
Just that?
With this, time would be bought!
"...Fine."
"Repeat after me," Noah said slowly, his voice magisterial. "I’m a trash can."
...!
A shiver ran down Hannibal’s spine.
He wanted to bellow. To Kill! To curse. But the pressure weighing down on his existence left little room for pride.
"...I’m... a trash can."
Noah nodded and continued. "I’m a bum."
"I’m a bum..."
The words came harder now. They clawed their way out, taking bits of pride with them.
The pride of an Originus Venerant entity!
As if Noah wanted to take the one thing he prized the most- his dignity and standing!
Killing was easy. But to strip an existence of their pride and honor and arrogance and humiliate them...that was true death even before they died.
Noah’s gaze didn’t change, his expression unreadable as he continued. "I’m a worthless stain of existence that should be wiped out."
"..."
Hannibal closed his eyes. His face convulsed.
But the weight didn’t ease. If anything, it grew as he repeated.
"...I’m a worthless stain of existence that should be wiped out."
A breath of wind passed between them. Cold. Quiet.
Dozens of watching eyes widened.
Primarchs from other regions, newly arrived, hovered in the frozen skyspace above, having drifted into this domain following the threads of chaotic authority.
A few Masters of Existence stood still amidst the high branches, their expressions suspended somewhere between disbelief and seriousness.
Noah stared at the kneeling figure of Hannibal as..
"Well," he murmured. "If that’s what you believe..."
BOOM!
The Glyph of the Protagonist pulsed with a terrifying brilliance.
And Hannibal’s body folded.
His very complexities bent inward, as if his existence was obeying a command greater than itself. He twisted. Screamed. Then shrunk. Collapsing in on himself in a swirl of violet and gold before...
HUUM!
A glimmering Treasure Cache hovered where he’d once knelt, softly spinning.
Originus Venerant...dead!
"..."
Silence fell.
No words. No movement.
Just stunned, raw silence.
Master Etheopa’s mouth trembled.
Kalysta held her breath. Then, quietly... she smiled with a sighing sense of sorrow as she thought of those killed by Hannibal.
She held a broken, trembling smile that shook her chest with uneven breath.𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Master Tan had been avenged.
And even as she had such a thought, Noah spoke again.
"Don’t run."
The words sounded casual. Almost lazy.
But they echoed like a blade!
The figures who had arrived glanced about uncertainly. Who was he referring to?
They didn’t wait long for the answer.
WOOSH!
Torus, the Master of Existence from the Mannafolds, darted across the sky in a bolt of white-blue light, his body streaking toward one of the dormant Inevitabilities in the distance.
Inevitabilities!
He could target them and wake them to cause unfathomable chaos!
It would open up possibilities!
Yet towards this action...
Noah simply shook his head.
The Glyph of the Protagonist pulsed once- purple gold.
A ribbon of golden light shot out and wrapped around Torus.
And...
He disappeared.
And reappeared in the exact same place he’d just been standing seconds ago, his face twisted in disbelief.
Torus roared and surged again.
And thr Glyph of the Protagonist simply flashed again!
WAP!
Back.
Again.
Back.
And again!
The cycle repeated like a cruel joke. Time rewound for him alone. The sequence playing endlessly as if the Labyrinth itself refused to let him escape. As if Origin itself was returning him there constantly!
Noah’s eyes narrowed slightly with terrifying command. "Stop that."
HUUM!
He lifted a hand.
It descended like judgment.
A golden palm of illusory brilliance smashed down from above, layered with Living Origin Authority. It struck Torus cleanly, slamming him into the frozen land with a thunderous crack, fissures spreading from the point of impact.
Torus coughed blood.
His blue mana suit cracked and crumbled, shards of protective resonance peeling off him in flakes. His face twisted as he stared up.
And Noah floated downward, quiet and unhurried, until he stood above the crumpled figure.
"If you repeat something after me," Noah said, calm as always, "you might just live."
Gasps rippled through the crowd.
Kalysta’s mouth fell open.
Sigrid’s brows lifted faintly, her golden eyes unreadable.
Even the fresh Masters of Existence hesitated. Their minds struggling to grasp what they were witnessing.
Did he not just say those same words to another Master of Existence, Hannibal, And then just killed him?!
