Chapter 3797: Process Concluded

The quest update was very direct. Make direct contact with the core! Usually, you would want Rean or Roan to do that. But, there was indeed one other individual who could fulfill that requirement, and that was Sister Orb!

Of course, such a move was extremely dangerous. This place made it impossible to return to the Dimensional Realm. Sister Orb lived inside the Control Orb, and the Control Orb was the Celestial Soul System itself. The very thing that maintained the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm couldn’t return there anymore.

In fact, not even Rean, Roan, and Kentucky expected Sister Orb to act there. They truly thought they lost their chance to reach the core.

However, Rean had managed to do one thing: open a breach in the Dark Purple Barrier, which didn’t close straight away. That’s the opening Sister Orb used, and the Control Orb passed through it, ultimately touching the Core of the Octahedron Construction! Not even that monster could do anything anymore!

Suddenly, the entire Dark Purple World froze. The Octahedron Monster also stopped, none of its tentacles moving. Rean, Roan, and Kentucky looked at that. Well, Roan and Kentucky did. Rean was in such a state that he couldn’t really see anything.

That stillness didn’t last long, though.

[Applying Vaccine.]

[Initializing overwriting.]

[Recovering Processing Power.]

[Adding new attributes.]

[Retrieving Database.]

Hundreds of messages popped inside the twins’ minds at once, and they continued as the system took over control.

Following that, all the Dark Purple Energy began to rush backwards, entering that Octahedron Core. The monster itself was dissipating, its Dark Purple Energy also returning there.

As that happened, the twins’ group saw the ancient runes that sealed the fabric of space lighting up all around.

The moment the system said that, it disappeared, returning to the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. It didn’t stop there, though. All the Dark Purple Energy began to enter the Dimensional Realm, ultimately being absorbed by the system itself.

The twins could feel it. The Celestial Soul System was changing.

As that happened, Roan and Kentucky began to fly around, collecting what was once Rean’s body. The twins couldn’t die anymore unless every single drop of blood from their bodies was eliminated, or if any remaining blood was too far away from where the main body was destroyed.

Naturally, neither was the case, so the two only gathered all those broken parts in a single place before Roan threw a bunch of Nutrient Pills inside.

"I have to admit, you look great like this," Roan commented, feeling pleased with the monster’s job.

Rean couldn’t even muster an expression, but his Divine Sense made his emotions very clear. ’Fuck you!’

’Life Style, Instant Recovery!’

A burst of Light Element came out of those broken parts of Rean’s body. Then, it all started to rearrange as a humanoid shape took form slowly. Usually, one or two of Roan Nutrient Pills were enough to regrow some parts, but this time, Rean had to use eleven at once. He truly was in terrible shape.

This was not the same as the Blood Reformation ability of the system. That’s why Rean was going through all this pain. Otherwise, the Blood Reformation would take place and enter on cooldown. That meant the twins wouldn’t be able to use it for the next 300000 hours, roughly 34 years. It was better to keep that system skill on reserve regardless of cost.

Roan ignored as Rean put his body back together, instead looking at the Dark Purple Energy quickly disappearing. Even if that energy was useless to the twins’ group, it was still a huge amount. "Just what is the system using all this energy for?"

*Zush! Zush!*

Suddenly, Celis appeared by their side, pulling Foliana with him. "Oh! I wasn’t feeling it wrong. Seems like we can enter and leave the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm again."

"Wow..." Foliana was also impressed by what was happening around. "Celis, you are the energy guy. Are you going to use it?"

Celis shook his head in response. "No. It is not something I can use or convert. At most, I can absorb it so others can’t use it, but it will have no utility whatsoever for me, just like the Shadow Energy of the Umbras."

The sound of bones being put together echoed from behind, and Rean finally got himself back to a condition where he could at least talk. "Ouch, ouch, ugh... I hate this shit..."

Kentucky found it strange. "You can literally numb your body with your abilities, so why are you feeling pain?"

Rean felt helpless. "To numb my sense of pain, I will have to use more Light Element, and we don’t have much remaining inside the Dimensional Realm."

Rean tried to ignore the pain and looked at the Dark Purple Energy disappearing, all of it rushing into an opening towards the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. "That’s truly a lot of energy, but the system is taking it all for itself."

"What about Sister Orb?" Foliana asked again.

"Our system is going through a change, so she probably won’t be able to talk until it is over. It happened a few times in the past when our system changed before," Celis explained.

"I see..." Foliana nodded and just waited.

"Hum?" Rean’s attention turned in Kentucky’s direction. "The blockage is disappearing..."

As he said that, both Xian and Erxando began to wake up again, although they still felt somewhat groggy due to the remaining Dark Purple Energy and Light.

"I... feel weird..." Xian commented, unable to make heads and tails of the situation.

"Ah!" As Erxando’s level was much higher, he recovered much faster, remembering everything. "Where are we? Did we leave the Dark Purple Area?"

"No," Kentucky answered him. "After today, the Dark Purple Area shouldn’t exist anymore... I think? We aren’t sure yet."

Erxando looked around, and he couldn’t recognize the location. "Is this the central area inside the Dark Purple Light? What is happening?"

But then, a thought surged in his head. "Wait, this is not good! If I’m awake, that means the Umbras can come here. This place will be flooded by Level Three Umbras anytime now!"

"It won’t be that fast," Rean corrected him. "We flew deeper into this place for hours, so even if the Umbras notice they can enter, they won’t reach this location so soon."

Indeed, after entering the Dark Purple Area, it took the twins several hours, and the Dark Purple Energy just started to disappear. "Of course, we need to leave before they get here."

"I hope so..." Erxando sighed in relief since he was in no condition to fight. "So, what is that?"

"None of your business," Roan answered. He obviously would tell Erxando.

The Celestial Soul System continued to absorb that Dark Purple Energy for the next hour nonstop. Finally, the Dark Purple Light disappeared completely, and the spatial opening into the Dimensional Realm was closed.
