Chapter 462: Let’s See Who is the Shameless One (2)
Right after the former master spoke this, Zhao Youlin raised one of her eyebrows. The smile on the former master’s face carried a hint of wickedness.
Indeed, after the former master finished speaking, Uncle Zhao grinned and walked out from behind them. He said politely to Sun Fengzi, “Madam, please move aside so that I could take a look at the young master.”
When Sun Fengzi saw Uncle Zhao, a hint of puzzlement appeared in her eyes. In her heart, she still hoped that her son could be sent to the hospital for treatment.
However, since the former master had said so, she dared not say anything. Therefore, she could only stand at the side and stared anxiously at Uncle Zhao and her own son.
The surrounding onlookers had moved out of their ways so that Uncle Zhao could perform his “medical skill”.
Uncle Zhao squatted beside Zhao Yifei. He stretched out his hand and touched Zhao Yifei’s injured arm.
Zhao Yifei reflexively hunched his shoulders. His eyes were filled with wariness.
When Uncle Zhao saw this, he whispered politely, “Young master, sorry if it hurts you.”
Before Zhao Yifei could figure out what Uncle Zhao had meant with his words, the crowd heard a loud crisp sound along with an incredibly miserable scream that cut through the sky. The crowd shivered, broke out in cold sweats and took a few steps back.
“Yifei!” Sun Fengzi shrieked and was about to lunge at him. However, the former master’s voice rose behind, “Fengzi, a word of advice, don’t simply move around. Uncle Zhao inherited this osteopathic massage from his ancestors. This is only the first step. If you run over to him, you might interrupt Uncle Zhao’s healing process. By that time, I’m afraid that Yifei’s hand cannot be salvaged anymore.”
Sun Fengzi turned stiff upon hearing the former master’s warning. She stared at the sight with her eyes wide open while feeling heartache and waiting anxiously at the side.
After he cried out in pain, it did not mean that the healing was over. Before Zhao Yifei had time to recover from his first wave of pain, the second wave of severe pain came next.
The crisp sound along with his miserable scream had everyone on the spot feeling a sensation of bone-chilling coldness creeping down their spines.
Finally, Uncle Zhao pulled his hand away from Zhao Yifei’s arms. Zhao Yifei’s clothes were already soaked with sweat as if he had just been fished out of the water.
Uncle Zhao rubbed his sore wrist and said to himself. ‘I am old and can hardly hold on even for a while longer.’ However, he could still continue to pick up the last round.
“Young Master, it’s done. See if you still feel any discomfort when you move your arm.”
Uncle Zhao’s voice broke the somewhat bizarre atmosphere in the banquet. Sun Fengzi snapped out of whatever mood she was in and quickly rushed over to Zhao Yifei’s side to help him out.
“Yifei, is your arm still painful, and can you move it around? Do you still feel any uncomfortable parts?”
Zhao Yifei glared at Sun Fengzi impatiently. In the end, he still did not refuse Sun Fengzi from helping him out.
He had used up all his energy during the “healing” process just now. Therefore, he could not stand on his own.
Zhao Yifei leaned against Sun Fengzi’s body. He tried to move his injured arm. Before this, he could not move his arm. He felt excruciating pain the moment he touched it. Now, he could move his arm freely without feeling any pain.
He finally got rid of his shoulder pain. Zhao Yifei heaved a sigh of relief. His initial dark and painful expression resumed normalcy due to happiness.
While Zhao Yifei was over the moon, the corners of Zhao Youlin’s lips unwittingly twitched. She cast a profound glance at the wise and unpredictable former master not far away from her.
‘This old man is really ruthless. He asked Uncle Zhao to push back his dislocated bones in the absence of medical equipment. Thankfully Zhao Yifei could endure the pain and did not die of pain!’
The old man certainly had taken to heart how Zhao Yifei had insulted Han Yichen as well as Sun Fengzi had spoken the wrong things. He was indeed a narrow-minded old coot. No matter what, he still did a good job!
Zhao Yifei did not respond to Sun Fengzi. However, looking at Zhao Yifei’s complexion resuming normalcy, she knew that Zhao Yifei was fine.
She heaved a sigh of relief and nagged him, “Yifei, I was worried sick about you. If anything happens to you…”
Zhao Yifei heaved a sigh and ignored Sun Fengzi’s unstoppable nags. Instead, he glared at the main culprit who had been the cause of his misery.
Zhao Youlin naturally received the hint of anger from Zhao Yifei’s glare. She lamented to herself over the fact that her younger cousin truly deserved to be struck to death for he had already forgotten the previous lessons learned.
“Yifei, a word of advice. Don’t act recklessly. Even though Uncle Zhao has relocated your bones, if dislocation happens a few more times, it would easily fall out the socket again.”
In other words, if Zhao Yifei were to have his arm dislocated once again, his arm might be easily dislocated anywhere at any time in the future.
Zhao Youlin’s threatening remark had spoken for itself. Zhao Yifei’s expression turned ghastly pale. Although he was still unhappy with this, he did not do anything. He snorted and turned his face to the other side.
Seeing this, Zhao Youlin shot a glance at the former master. The former master received her hint. He faked a cough and said, “Yifei got himself injured today. So, it’s best that he doesn’t join the rest of the banquet anymore. Na, ask someone to send the young master upstairs to change his clothes and take care of him.”
Uncle Zhao nodded. He casually pointed at two tall and strong male servants so that they carried Zhao Yifei on both sides and sent him to the guest room.
Initially, Zhao Yifei was reluctant. He felt uncomfortable with his sweaty body. However, he did not say anything and let the servants take him upstairs.
Sun Fengzi had wanted to go along with Zhao Yifei. On second thought, she still felt like things were not over with Zhao Youlin yet. As such, she stayed on and wanted to have a word with Zhao Youlin.
Zhao Youlin knew the mother-son pair very well. When she noticed that Sun Fengzi did not tag along with Zhao Yifei and had instead stayed on and looked indignant, she narrowed her eyes and decided to make the first move in order to gain the upper hand.
“Aunt, you mentioned that you wanted to settle the account with me regarding the previous incident of striking Yifei to the extent he had to be admitted to the hospital. Certain things have to be settled as soon as possible to prevent each one of us from having lingering thorns in our hearts. Well, since there are so many people around here now, let’s talk things over and make each other feel better. But before that, why don’t you tell us the reason why I laid my hand on Yifei?”
Since this family was so shameless, why should she be so merciful as to show her respect to them? Sun Fengzi had the guts to cause chaos at her mother and older brother’s important event. How could she not make her pay some form of price for this?
