Chapter 1296: Blessings
Souta’s entire body trembled.
Cold sweat formed across his forehead.
Souta stared at his own hand in disbelief.
He couldn’t describe the sensation he was experiencing.
Yet, despite everything...
He felt a strange sense of familiarity.
"The calamity..."
Souta muttered to himself.
Saya had closed the door to completely prevent the calamity from ravaging the Land of Fire Light.
If she hadn’t done so, who knew what would have happened?
"I have to plan this carefully... I can’t let God’s Will know about this either."
If the calamity managed to break through the door, the entire Land of Fire Light would once again be in danger.
Souta needed to gather the Formation Masters of the Depths of Banquet and have them examine the Ancient Formation that was supposed to cleanse the calamity.
If the Ancient Formation was still functioning, he could finally put his mind at ease.
But if it wasn’t...
He would have to prepare for the worst.
"It should still be working..."
Souta reassured himself.
After all, the calamity never erupted in the game.
That meant the Ancient Formation must have successfully cleansed the calamity in this place.
That was probably the reason why the calamity never appeared in the game.
Even though Souta knew this, he still couldn’t bring himself to take any chances.
He had to personally verify the condition of the Ancient Formation.
If the Formation Masters of the Depths of Banquet weren’t capable of handling it, then he would search for other masters who were skilled enough to examine and repair it.
He couldn’t afford to leave anything to chance.
Still, the appearance of this door confirmed his suspicions.
The door in the Undead Sanctuary was identical to this one.
Both were sealed doors that led to something far more dangerous than anything else in the world.
The Undead Sanctuary...
’I guess I should visit it sooner than I originally planned. I need to take control of that door and monitor it for any changes related to the calamity.’
Souta turned his head in another direction.
A slow smile formed on his face.
"Good. I acquired it."
...
On the other side, in a sub-space hidden beneath the land...
A humanoid being with the same appearance as Souta stood before a dense sphere of glowing energy.
This being was one of Souta’s clones.
After everything in the Depths of Banquet had been settled, Souta’s clones were freed from their duties and began traveling to different lands.
Their purpose was simple.
To search for treasures.
"Finally, complete."
A smile formed on the clone’s face as he absorbed the dense energy.
As he felt the energy coursing through his entire body, satisfaction filled his heart.
[You’ve gained the Blessing of Hate]!!
[You’ve gained 500,000,000 experience points]!!
[You’ve gained...]
Souta exhaled deeply as he felt the blessing left behind by the God of Hate.
"I have a total of three blessings now."
The Blessing of the Hunt, the Blessing of War and Wisdom, and the newly acquired Blessing of Hate.
Once activated simultaneously, these three blessings would comprehensively enhance his overall stats.
Although they couldn’t compare to the blessings possessed by his character, Blood, this was still a good start.
Blood possessed the blessings of all the Commanders of the Mechanic Country, along with numerous other blessings he had acquired by clearing dungeons and living labyrinths of higher entities.
Souta still had a long way to go before he could reach that level.
Step by step, he would reclaim everything that belonged to him from the game.
"With three blessings, my strength has increased once again," Souta muttered to himself.
Unfortunately, the God of Hate hadn’t left his Archetype behind in the inheritance.
Still, the Archetype was one of the things that hadn’t appeared in the game.
Perhaps it had existed in the game, but Souta had simply been too weak to remember it.
After all, no one below the Fifth Shackle Realm could retain memories of it.
Even those who had witnessed him wielding an Archetype didn’t realize what they were seeing.
In their minds, he was simply manipulating blood in the form of lightning.
Even if he told them about Archetypes, they would forget.
Archetypes involved secrets that ran far deeper than ordinary skills and abilities.
BOOM!!
Suddenly, the entire sub-space trembled.
Souta looked up and saw cracks spreading across the air.
"This spatial structure is going to collapse soon. I need to leave."
He hurriedly left the sub-space.
The space created by the God of Hate was far more stable and durable than an ordinary sub-space.
Even so, the clone’s body wouldn’t be able to withstand the spatial collapse.
Swoosh!!
The moment Souta escaped, the entire sub-space collapsed.
With that, the inheritance of the God of Hate was completely acquired by Souta.
From now on, all the skills and spells he had obtained from the inheritance would be added to the archives of the Blood Realm.
The people of the Blood Realm would be able to access them and, if they possessed enough contribution points, they might even have the opportunity to learn them.
They even had a chance to learn Archetypes.
Urhan’s Archetype had entered the archives of the Blood Realm.
Souta wouldn’t prevent his people from learning it as long as they were capable of doing so. After all, if they grew stronger, the overall military might of the Blood Realm would also increase.
"And there will be more..."
Souta smiled as he left the area.
His next destination was Asgard.
From his memories, he had cleared three hidden Living Labyrinths in that land. Those labyrinths contained EXP, skills, spells, blessings, and perhaps even another Archetype.
The amount of EXP he had gained this time was enormous. He guessed that once he cleared another labyrinth, he would have enough to level up and reach Level 82.
...
On another continent called the Giza Continent.
In a certain field within a nation known as Zomus, two figures were engaged in a high-speed battle.
A middle-aged man with short blonde hair, wearing a tank top and black pants, exchanged blows with a young man.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Each punch thrown by the young man generated a shockwave powerful enough to shatter mountains. However, the middle-aged man effortlessly dispelled every shockwave, preventing them from damaging the surrounding area.
Bang! Bang!
"Don’t telegraph your punches. Watch your feet. Don’t simply step into the air, use your mana wisely. Follow your instincts. If you see an opening, seize it immediately."
The middle-aged man continued to guide the young man as they fought.
The young man moved his body at incredible speeds, faster than light itself. His punches were fast and powerful, but the middle-aged man easily deflected every attack.
After a while, the young man finally stopped moving and knelt on the ground, breathing heavily.
"Teacher Bargan, how can I even land a single punch against you?" the young man asked.
The middle-aged man, who was called Bargan, smiled before answering, "It’s too early for you to think about that. You’ve just reached the Eight Shackle Realm, so don’t worry about it for now, Yujin."
"I know, Teacher. It’s just that you’re too powerful," Yujin said.
"You’re still young, so you will surely reach the Tenth Shackle Realm. Do you know that I only reached the Eight Shackle Realm when I was in my thirties?" Bargan explained.
"You’ve finished your training."
A voice suddenly sounded.
Bargan and Yujin turned their heads. They saw three people approaching them from afar.
One of them was a young man, while the other two were young women.
The young man was tall, standing at six feet and five inches. He had short, messy brown hair and blue eyes. Parts of his body were covered in green scales.
The young woman on his left had purple hair that draped over her shoulders like flowing water. Her skin was fair, while her purple eyes resembled precious gems. She wore an elegant green-and-white dress.
The second young woman was petite, shorter than the other two. She had blue hair neatly tied at the back of her head. Her eyes were as blue as the ocean, and her body was clad in leather armor with a white skirt underneath and high boots. A blue, furry tail protruded from her back.
"Brando, Lynn, Lumilia." Yujin called out to his three friends.
"You’re all here." Bargan smiled.
"Yujin, it’s too early for you to think about landing a hit on Teacher," Brando said with a smile as he looked at Yujin.
"I know, but I’m not going to give up," Yujin replied.
"I’m looking forward to that day. You have a Spirit Companion, so your future is limitless." Bargan glanced at everyone before adding, "I know that all of you will surpass me one day."
He knew the struggles his students had endured. He knew how hard they had worked to become stronger, so he trusted them. He believed that one day, they would reach a level that he himself could never attain.
Yujin clenched both of his fists, his eyes burning with determination. He looked up at Bargan and asked, "Teacher, are you going to become a God?"
At his question, Brando, Lumilia, and Lynn fell silent as they looked at their teacher.
