Chapter 6361: So-so Indeed

“I won’t tap into my ancestors’ powers, but you shan’t let your beautiful world spirit intervene either. Let’s have a fair duel between us. If you defeat me, I’ll let you use this formation however you want to. Not only will I cooperate with you, but I’ll also ensure your safe departure.”

“Xiancheng, what nonsense are you spouting?! They have infringed on our Ye Immortal Clan’s honor by barging into our territory! You should kill them straight as the Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief! There’s no need to negotiate with them!” the female grand elder bellowed.

Even Chu Feng, despite being in the palace, found her voice jarring.

The female grand elder was panicking. She had prepared this recovery formation for her son, and she couldn’t accept anyone else using it. No matter how wealthy they were, they shouldn’t be squandering their wealth like that!

The Ye Immortal Clan didn’t have a second catalyst treasure at hand!

But Ye Xiancheng had already made up his mind. “Father, mother, let me deal with this since I’m the Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief.”

Seeing Ye Xiancheng’s determined gaze, the male grand elder tugged the female grand elder and said, “Let Xiancheng deal with this.”

“We can’t let him have his way for something as important as this!” The female grand elder glared at the male grand elder with eyes of disbelief.

“We’re letting him deal with it because of the severity of the situation. How can he get a firm foothold as the clan chief if we don’t trust his judgment?” the male grand elder said.

The female grand elder froze. She could also see the pros and cons of the situation. In the end, she lowered her head and sighed in reluctance. “Why is my child so foolish?”

“Why are you so certain Xiancheng will lose? He’s our Ye Immortal Clan’s future!” the male grand elder said.

The female grand elder finally snapped out of her daze. She realized she had been too narrow-minded. Chu Feng was a junior like Ye Xiancheng, but he had a resounding reputation. If Ye Xiancheng could defeat Chu Feng, he could take the latter’s place as the strongest junior. That would build his influence not just within the clan but beyond, too.

Seeing that his mother had acquiesced, Ye Xiancheng turned to Chu Feng and asked, “Do you dare to do it?”

“What if I lose?” Chu Feng asked.

“I won’t make things difficult for you if you lose. Just release my ninth brother and hand over your Genesis Bloodline, and I’ll let you leave safely,” Ye Xiancheng said.

“Chu Feng, don’t waste your breath on him. I’ll vanquish him,” Eggy said.

Ye Xiancheng scoffed, “Are you a wimp who lets a woman fight on your behalf? Did you earn your reputation by mooching off women?”

Chu Feng laughed. “Let’s do as you say. But if you can’t uphold your promise, I’ll make sure that your Ye Immortal Clan’s lineage ends here.”

Ye Xiancheng’s response rendered Chu Feng speechless. “If I fail to uphold my promise, I’ll sever it myself.”

He gestured to his genitals as he spoke, making his intent clear.

But he failed to understand what Chu Feng was getting at. That was not what Chu Feng was referring to.

“Raise your cultivation to the highest level. I’ll suppress my cultivation to match yours,” Ye Xiancheng said.

“What’s your cultivation level?” Chu Feng asked.

“Me?” Ye Xiancheng smiled confidently.

His robe fluttered, and a powerful aura swept across the palace. The rumors were true. He was at rank nine True God level, just a step away from reaching Heavenly God level.

Chu Feng revealed a faint smile. Lightning crackled around him. Even the area outside the palace was illuminated by nine-colored lightning. He had unleashed Lightning Mark, Lightning Armor, Lightning Wings, and Lightning Armor.

“Lightning Aura! That Chu Feng...” The male grand elder stared in utter shock.

The female grand elder’s lower jaw slackened. She could hardly believe her eyes.

The Ye Immortal Clansmen who had surrounded the area were dumbfounded, too.

Chu Feng had raised his cultivation by four ranks, up to rank nine True God level. As Ancient Era cultivators, they understood the significance of that. In particular, very few cultivators in the Ancient Era had grasped Lightning Aura, and those who did became renowned powerhouses.

Ye Xiancheng was dumbstruck too, but a smirk slowly formed on his lips. “Interesting. No wonder my guest elder calls you big brother. But I wonder if your cultivation is superficial, or if you have the strength to back it up.”

Clang!

Ye Xiancheng flicked his arm, and a spear appeared in his right hand. The emergence of the spear caused the energies in the palace to stir. It was clear at a glance that the spear was a formidable God Armament.

Putting aside its imposing aura, the spear was also exquisitely designed. It had a golden body embedded with pieces of emerald jade, making it look like an artwork. It could be seen from its appearance that it was an invaluable treasure.

Ye Xiancheng didn’t make a move right away. Instead, he stroked the spear and said, “This spear is our Ye Immortal Clan’s hereditary treasure, Jade Immortal. Our clansmen respectfully address it as Lord Jade Immortal. No one has been able to wield Jade Immortal since the start of the present era. Even I only won its favor after obtaining the Immortal Legacy.”

He pointed the spear at Chu Feng and said, “You’re fortunate to be the first person to have your blood spilled by the Jade Immortal in my hands.”

“Is that so?”

Chu Feng raised his arms, and the Frenzy Tsunami Saber and the Dragonflame Divine Blade appeared in each of his hands. These were the God Armaments he had received from Little Fishy’s grandfather and the Totem Dragon Clan’s Clan Chief.

Ye Xiancheng shook his head. “Your weapons are so-so.

“Is that so?” Chu Feng smiled.

He dashed up to Ye Xiancheng and simultaneously swung both weapons at the latter’s waist.

Ye Xiancheng hurriedly blocked the attacks with his spear.

Clang!

Sparks flew.

Ye Xiancheng skidded backward under the impact.

He had managed to withstand Chu Feng’s attack, but he was pushed very far back. When he finally regained his balance, he looked at Chu Feng with grim eyes.

Chu Feng’s attack was formidable.

Ye Xiancheng realized his opponent was the real deal. His impression of Chu Feng also improved as the latter didn’t exploit his carelessness to push him further. It was the act of a gentleman.

But Ye Xiancheng soon realized Chu Feng wasn’t a gentleman.

“Your weapon is indeed so-so,” Chu Feng sneered.
