Chapter 6245: The Immemorial Bloodline Tower
Chapter 6245: The Immemorial Bloodline Tower
“Of course not. It’s a scroll from the Huangfu Heavenly Clan. I bought it at an exorbitant price!” the sharp-nosed, sunken cheek man replied.
“A load of bull. Chu Feng doesn’t look like that,” Chu Feng replied.
“Why don’t you tell us what he looks like then?”
“He doesn’t look like that. Why don’t we do this? You can leave your address here. He’ll come to knock on your door and beat you up when the time comes.”
“Hmph! I shall not squabble with an ignorant and black-hearted person. I haven’t even complained about you not having the money to see my portrait, yet you turned against me and tried to sully my reputation. I shall not waste my words on you,” the man said as he sped off.
He soon disappeared in the distance.
“He ran away! Is that portrait fake?”
The crowd talked among themselves.
But the bearded, brawny man thought nothing of the matter. Instead, he looked at Chu Feng.
“You were duped, brother. Aren’t you going to chase him?” Chu Feng asked.
“Don’t worry about it; it’s chump change. Let me introduce myself—I’m Li Gangtie. What’s your name?” the bearded, brawny man asked.
“My family name is Chu,” Chu Feng replied.
“Ah, it’s Brother Chu. You have the same family name as Chu Feng,” Li Gangtie said with a chuckle. “Have you really met Chu Feng before?”
“Yes, I have met him. He looks much better than that.”
“So, what does he look like?”
“I forgot.”
Chu Feng was reluctant to tell the truth to avoid trouble. The Huangfu Heavenly Clan and the Seven Realms Immortal Sect likely already knew about his Genesis Bloodline.
Both the Genesis Bloodline and the Ruler’s Bloodline were huge temptations to cultivators and world spiritists. Revealing his identity here was as good as courting his doom.
But Li Gangtie refused to let things slip. He was extremely curious about Chu Feng and kept bugging him for more information. He even offered to purchase Chu Feng’s real portrait.
Chu Feng didn’t answer his questions, but he was surprised by Li Gangtie’s interest in present-day cultivators. The latter appeared to respect Chu Feng a lot. He wondered how Li Gangtie would react if he learned that he was Chu Feng.
Soon, Chu Feng and the others were finally approaching their destination. There was still some distance to cover, but they could already spot a towering mountain peak rising into the clouds.
That mountain peak was golden. It wasn’t made out of rock or gold but something more formidable. Upon closer examination, there was a massive window on the mountain peak too. Rather than a mountain peak, it looked more like a unique tower.
Most important of all, the mountain peak emanated an aura that felt older than the Ancient Era. It was very likely to be from the Immemorial Era.
“Chu Feng, is that a mountain peak or a tower?” Eggy asked out of curiosity.
“It looked more like a tower. It must be the treasure the Huangfu Heavenly Clan mentioned,” Chu Feng said.
“Are you able to tell what’s special about that tower?” Eggy asked.
“Not yet, but I reckon something good is hidden in there, and the Huangfu Heavenly Clan requires external help to obtain it. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be so kind as to share the treasure with everyone,” Chu Feng deduced.
“That makes sense. This is an opportunity for us,” Eggy smiled.
“Indeed.” Chu Feng nodded in agreement.
Amidst their conversation, they got even closer to the mountain peak. Countless figures stood along the perimeter of the golden mountain peak, covering not just the ground but the sky too. They looked like a locust swarm from afar, but they were all cultivators and world spiritists.
This showed that there were a lot of Ancient Era’s cultivators living in this formation realm, and most of them belonged to a sect or clan. Yet, all of them chose to maintain a distance away from the mountain peak-shaped golden tower.
As they got closer, Chu Feng and Jie Shanxian finally understood why that was the case.
Millions of Huangfu Heavenly Clansmen were gathered beneath the golden tower, surrounding a platform.
A white-haired, middle-aged man stood on the platform. He was dressed identical to the other Huangfu Heavenly Clansmen, and he carried a black wooden box on his back too. He gave off the aura of a rank one Heavenly God level cultivator.
The crowd was steering clear of his aura.
Soon, the crowd parted to give way to a golden war chariot bearing the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s flag. The chariot landed on a square, and tens of thousands of juniors stepped out from within. They were the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s elites.
The weakest of these juniors were at rank one Half-God level, and three of them had reached rank one True God level. Of the three, there were two men and one woman.
Chu Feng recognized one of the two men—Huangfu Shangwu.
Huangfu Shangwu had accompanied Huangfu Shengyu to the Nine Heavens’ Zenith to put down the present-era cultivators, but perhaps due to his lacking ability, he didn’t appear in the final test, though that was the reason he survived at all.
Chu Feng didn’t think he would meet Huangfu Shangwu once more.
The other two were foreign faces. They were good-looking, but they gave off an air of arrogance. Even Huangfu Shangwu could only walk behind the two of them. It was evident their standing was above Huangfu Shangwu’s.
Chu Feng wasn’t surprised to learn that, as Huangfu Shangwu didn’t seem to be respected by the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s juniors back when he was at the Nine Heavens’ Zenith.
All the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s juniors made their way toward the rank one Heavenly God level middle-aged man. With Huangfu Shangwu and the other two at the forefront, the whole group bowed deeply to the middle-aged man.
“Paying respect to Lord Zhantian.”
Even though the middle-aged man, Huangfu Zhantian, was not the clan chief, he had a high standing in the Huangfu Heavenly Clan due to his outstanding talent.
“Rise.” Huangfu Zhantian casually waved his hand.
An elder from the Huangfu Heavenly Clan walked over to Huangfu Zhantian’s side and asked, “Lord Zhantian, everyone is here. May we begin?”
“Yes, let’s begin. I can’t be bothered to explain, so I’ll leave the job to you,” Huangfu Zhantian told the elder.
“Understood.”
Despite looking much older than Huangfu Zhantian, the elder maintained a respectful attitude toward him. He turned to the crowd and started with some pleasantries before explaining the situation.
“The mountain behind me is an Immemorial Era’s treasure known as the Immemorial Bloodline Tower. It can enhance bloodline powers, making it an invaluable treasure to us cultivators. Our kind clan chief believes in sharing resources with others, so we shall open this treasure we have cherished for a long time to everyone here!”
Resounding cheers broke out. The crowd went into a fervor.
If that elder was speaking the truth, the Immemorial Bloodline Tower was a treasure far surpassing their wildest imagination. Bloodlines were the cultivators’ foundation. Enhancing one’s bloodline was far more useful than raising one’s cultivation.
The elder was satisfied with the crowd’s response. There was a brief pause before he added, “But there are requirements to enter the tower.”
