Chapter 6196: A Turtle In the Vat

Chu Feng formed another hand seal. 

Several hundred-meter-tall formation monkeys emerged from the sand. These formation monkeys looked lifelike, but they had peculiar appearances. They had sharp mouths, bucktooth, emaciated cheeks, and massive bottoms.

They looked scheming. 

“A useless endeavor.” Shahun Haotian shook his head. 

He didn’t think Chu Feng’s attacks could hurt him. Be it the formation swords or these monkeys, they made no difference in his eyes. 

Chu Feng didn’t say a word. 

With a change in his hand seal, all the monkeys simultaneously turned around and directed their bottoms at Shahun Haotian. 

Puutt!

Puutt!

Puutt!

These monkeys were letting out their feces at Shahun Haotian! 

Even though they were only a hundred meters tall, their waste products were massive compared to Shahun Haotian, who was only the size of an ordinary human. 

“This…” The white-haired, black-robed woman was speechless.

“I see.” The woman in a white dress chuckled as if having seen through something.

Shahun Haotian’s face turned green. He dodged the feces instead of deflecting them with his black aura, though he channeled his black aura to shred those monkeys apart.

However, the monkeys were prepared for this.

Some continued bombarding Shahun Haotian with their feces, whereas the others shot their waste materials at the approaching black aura. 

Astonishingly, the black aura chose to avoid the feces, not wanting to come into contact with it. 

The tables were turned in an instant. Suddenly, Shahun Haotian was the one dodging again.

“I get it now. Chu Feng saw through Shahun Haotian’s proud nature and his lack of understanding of world spiritist techniques. He correctly predicted that Shahun Haotian wouldn’t allow filth to taint his bloodline power. But is there a point to such lowly means?” the black-robed woman asked. 

“Lowly means?” The woman in a white dress was displeased to hear that. “Chu Feng’s fighting prowess is beneath Shahun Haotian. He can’t win through normal means. When orthodox means fail, the only option is to resort to the unorthodox. Yet, you call this lowly?”

Realizing she had misspoken, the black-robed woman hurriedly kneeled and clarified, “Milord, this is not what I mean. I heard Shahun Haotian is not only the greatest prodigy of the Shahun Clan; he is also one of the greatest talents in the Asura Spirit World. Chu Feng’s tricks might have stopped Shahun Haotian for the time being, but he risks angering the latter. It will only put him in a worse plight.”

The woman in a white dress reached out and pulled the black-robed woman back to her feet. 

“Chu Feng is young, but his combat experience is not to be scoffed at. He has fought enough opponents to know the consequences of what he’s doing. Let’s continue watching.”

Those words piqued the black-robed woman’s curiosity. She wondered how Chu Feng could achieve victory under such circumstances. 

Having lost control over the Immemorial Massacre Sea, she was no longer able to precisely perceive what was happening in the desert where Chu Feng was fighting with Shahun Haotian. She could still spectate with her eyes, but she couldn’t tell if Chu Feng had constructed any other formations, thus making it hard for her to predict his next move. 

To be frank, she couldn’t imagine how Chu Feng could win this battle. She knew how important fighting prowess was to a cultivator.  

But at the same time, she trusted the woman in a white dress’ judgment. 

The woman in a white dress believed Chu Feng stood a chance in this battle, and she was curious to know the basis of that judgment. 

Under Chu Feng’s assault, Shahun Haotian was forced to retreat again and again in a fluster. 

Even though Chu Feng’s formation monkeys were bizarre, their might was not to be scoffed at. Shahun Haotian couldn’t stop the filth bombardment with just his oppressive might. To stop it, he had to either brandish his weapon or use his bloodline power. 

But as the black-robed woman had said, he was too proud to allow such filth to taint his weapon and bloodline power. With that, his only option was to dodge. 

After dodging another wave of filth, Shahun Haotian landed on the ground. 

The sand around him stirred, and thousands of formation monkeys suddenly emerged from the underground. They turned their bottoms toward him and unleashed their bombardment of filth.  

This time, their encirclement was so tight that Shahun Haotian had nowhere to dodge. He had no choice but to stop the filth with his black aura. 

Having such an obnoxiously pungent substance clinging to his noble bloodline completely enraged Shahun Haotian.

“I’ll rip you apart!!!”

With a piercing roar, Shahun Haotian unleashed his bloodline power like an erupting volcano. His black aura gushed upward and spread across the sky, swiftly enveloping the surroundings.

Chu Feng hurriedly turned tail and fled.

He knew that Shahun Haotian was trying to seal off the surroundings with his overpowered bloodline so that he would have nowhere to run! 

Shahun Haotian’s clenched jaws and bulging veins were conspicuous while he channeled his bloodline power. Perhaps due to his anger, his black aura moved even faster than before. 

In contrast, Chu Feng’s movement speed began to slow. It was a gradual decrease, but it caused the gap between them to narrow. 

Shahun Haotian’s eyes lit up. He excitedly gave everything he had into propagating his bloodline to seal off the surroundings, so much so that his nose and ears began bleeding. 

He was paying a hefty price for this attack, but he couldn’t care less. Chu Feng’s humiliating attack had left him blinded with anger, and he was determined to kill Chu Feng today no matter what it took. 

No matter how fast Chu Feng was, he would have nowhere to escape once his surroundings were sealed off!

In Shahun Haotian’s view, Chu Feng was wasting time. His death was already decided. 

Shahun Haotian hadn’t moved a step, which meant that Chu Feng was getting further away from him, but he could sense everything through his bloodline power. 

The black aura pursuing Chu Feng billowed, manifesting into a gigantic face of Shahun Haotian.

“It’s only a matter of time before I seal off this place, no matter how big it is. You are already in my clutches. There’s nowhere to escape,” Shahun Haotian’s voice boomed thunderously like a demon.

But Chu Feng was unfazed. 

“Barking from the useless,” he sneered.

Those words pricked Shahun Haotian’s pride, prompting him to chase Chu Feng even more fervently. He was overexerting his bloodline power so much that blood began seeping from his eyes and gums. 

His composure and loftiness had eroded, replaced with madness. 

Under his frenzied pursuit, Chu Feng was eventually overtaken by the bloodline power. However, the black aura didn’t descend right away to close the encirclement. Instead, it surged on and continued enveloping the spaces ahead. 

Shahun Haotian wasn’t about to take any risks. He was determined to ensure that Chu Feng was trapped in his grasp.  

Only after overtaking Chu Feng by a huge margin did the black aura finally descend and block off his path, completely trapping him in.

Shahun Haotian smirked in glee. 

“Why don’t you continue escaping? Or have you finally realized the futility of your actions? Come on, let me see where you can escape to.”

Shahun Haotian vented all his anger and indignation. 

The black-robed woman stared at Chu Feng. Now that he was trapped with an enemy stronger than him, she couldn’t imagine how he could overcome this trial. 

All of a sudden, Chu Feng turned around and formed a hand seal. He began flitting toward Shahun Haotian’s main body; this time, he was traveling several times faster than before. 

He had finally unleashed Divine Flitting’s true prowess. 

But that was not all.

Teleportation energy also began wrapping his body, causing him to glow. 

It turned out that he had constructed many teleportation formations along the way. The acceleration from the teleportation formations coupled with Divine Flitting allowed him to move at a speed comparable to traveling in ancient teleportation passageways! 

“I get it now, milord. Chu Feng realized that Shahun Haotian would be weakened if he overexerted his bloodline power, so he provoked Shahun Haotian into chasing him with his bloodline power. 

“Once Shahun Haotian’s bloodline power was stretched thin, he made use of his teleportation formations to quickly get to Shahun Haotian, before the latter could retract his bloodline power, and dished out a lethal blow on the latter.”

The black-robed woman widened her eyes in realization.

The woman in a white dress didn’t say a word. She had already seen through Chu Feng’s ploy. 

“Damn it!” Shahun Haotian finally realized something was amiss.

He anxiously retracted his bloodline power, but his speed paled far in comparison to Chu Feng.

It didn’t take long for Chu Feng to reappear in Shahun Haotian’s line of vision. 

Boom!

Large swathes of black clouds appeared in the sky. Each cloud contained a lightning bolt harnessing devastating martial power. 

Shahun Haotian knew that was Chu Feng’s means, so he quickly squeezed out whatever bloodline power he had left and wrapped it tightly around his body. 

“Trying to take me down? It’s futile! Given your fighting prowess, I can easily stop your attack without using all my bloodline power! This is the gap between us!”

Now that he was tightly wrapped in his bloodline power, Shahun Haotian regained his confidence and began mocking Chu Feng. 

“Divine Might!” Chu Feng murmured. 

A pair of golden eyes appeared in the sky.

Shahun Haotian was horrified. He sensed his bloodline power being severely suppressed.

Boom!

Lightning bolts fell from the sky, piercing through the black aura to strike Shahun Haotian.

It was rank three God Taboo, Descend of Lightning Punishment!

Chu Feng had concentrated the lightning at one spot to greatly amplify its prowess. 

The bloodline power Shahun Haotian had spread across the sky swiftly disintegrated under the lightning, but the final layer of defense he had spread over his body was much sturdier. It was holding its own against the lightning. 

This emboldened Shahun Haotian.

“It’s useless! You don’t know anything about our Shahun Clan or me, Shahun Haotian. You might have tricked me into unleashing the bulk of my bloodline power, but you still can’t do anything about me as long as I have this bit of bloodline power left!”

Instead of answering Shahun Haotian’s taunts, Chu Feng roared, “Activate formation!”

A massive formation surfaced from the sand beneath Shahun Haotian. It harnessed energy similar to Divine Might, further weakening Shahun Haotian’s bloodline power. 

Shahun Haotian was appalled. He was so shocked that he couldn’t utter any more taunts. 

He was truly panicking now. 

“There’s such a formation in the world?” The black-robed woman was astonished.

“Shahun Haotian thought Chu Feng lingered in the area to construct the earlier sword rain formation, but that was just a feint to make him lower his guard. From the very start, Chu Feng had been constructing that formation that lowers one’s fighting prowess,” the woman in a white dress explained. 

The black-robed woman widened her eyes in realization. 

Even the formation monkeys’ filth bombardment had a layered intent. As much as it was to anger Shahun Haotian, it also served to drive him onto Chu Feng’s hidden formation. 

Chu Feng had planned it all out from the very start.

Shahun Haotian was the prey all along!
