Chapter 7325: Demonic Outburst

Chapter 7325: Demonic Outburst

When the Riot Mark III charged forward in order to strike the Level 6 Sudhar Goliath for the third time, its momentum suddenly surged.

Many observers who had taken notice of the remarkable performance of a rare and exceedingly precious superdimensional ace mech already became impressed by its demonstrated attributes.

Yet that did not necessarily mean that the Riot Mark III could run roughshod over the mutated voribugs.

Their own expert mechs and ace mechs experienced many difficulties in their own fights against the Goliath Hive.

Their design applications were primarily focused on countering the native aliens.

Their ability to fight against an enemy that lived and breathed pure attrition warfare was severely lacking.

Although the third parties were not able to decipher the full properties of this remarkable superdimensional ace mech, their mech designers possessed excellent judgment.

They all deduced that the Riot Mark III was not a mech designed to fight against the mutated voribugs.

To be fair, almost no mech designed in the current generation satisfied this requirement.

However, the mech was still recent enough that Ves Larkinson had likely been able to implement a handful of last-minute adaptations to its design.

The Riot Mark III’s Saint Kingdom proved unusually effective against swarms of very weak voribugs. This advantage could not exist without the deliberate incorporation of Terran Destroyer Amplification Material.

It was clear that the Riot Mark III possessed far more special properties than its bold selection of key resonating materials.

Despite their youth and lack of working experience of its principal mech designers, the Miracle Couple had long proven to be creative, inventive and effective.

The more perceptive and knowledgeable among the observers even deduced the presence of demonic or unnatural entities within the machine.

Only the Red Association and the Red Collective possessed a much clearer idea on what had befallen the Riot Mark III and its ace pilot, but even they could not understand the full depth of this remarkable D-mech.

This was why few people expected for the Riot Mark III to burst out with greater power and surround itself in a more ominous dark corona during its charge!

Many people began to feel an obvious source of danger and malevolence from the ace mech!

Those who were close enough to stare directly at the ace mech soaring through space felt this threat more acutely, but even those who merely watched the Riot Mark III through a projected display felt uncomfortable.

It was as if an evil predatory monster had just swept its gaze in their direction!

Even if the unknown entity did not deliberately cast its attention to them, any red human could not ignore the slight degree of malice directed towards their souls.

Fortunately, the D-mech’s hostility remained chained to the pilot of the machine.

Normally, other people shouldn’t have been able to detect more than a faint sense of threat from the Riot.

It was only when Saint Orfan boldly chose to loosen her suppression on the Prophet’s Bane that the Riot partially lost control!

Dark energies began to burst out of the mech frame as the Middle Demon’s overwhelming anger and frustration leaked out and began to distort the surrounding space!

This was clearly an anomalous condition!

Not only was it radiating a more dangerous aura, but its physical exterior also became subjected to random mutations.

Spikes grew out of its armor plating while its existing edges grew sharper.

A pair of horns actually started to emerge out of its head!

The changes to the mech frame partially affected its performance and range of motion, but the Riot Mark III still remained functional somehow.

Saint Orfan may have eased the pressure, but that did not mean she had retracted her willpower entirely.

She gave enough room for the Prophet’s Bane to exercise a portion of its power, but not enough for him to sabotage her machine!

By using her willpower to corral the Middle Demon, she was able to direct a part of its malevolent power along the shaft of the tier 3 Destroyer spear.

“DEATH!”

The striped orange mech briefly darkened just before it struck the Level 6 Goliath with its tier 3 Destroyer spear!

This time, the blow produced an explosion of power that chaotically expanded outwards!

Even as the Riot Mark III quickly flew out after completing its charge attack, the energies it left behind made it difficult to ascertain the condition of the enemy Goliath.

The latter’s condition definitely shouldn’t be good!

It was only after the various resonance-empowered energies dispersed that people were able to ascertain the state of the Sudhar Goliath.

“Is that… a Goliath?”

“It is nothing but a ruined mass of flesh… and even that will not last long…”

Although a Level 6 Goliath was ultimately not a match against a genuine ace mech, the former shouldn’t have been defeated so easily!

Their vitality and their annoying ability to regenerate their physical injuries had long turned them into time-consuming obstacles. Most ace mech still needed to expend a significant amount of effort to kill them entirely.

Yet the Riot Mark III only needed 3 attacks to accomplish the same result.

Nobody could explain precisely what Saint Orfan managed to do or what hidden function her ace mech just employed, but the result was undeniably effective!

The Sudhar Goliath no longer retained a whole body. Its exoskeleton and internal organs had all been shattered into several dozen chunks of damaged and eroding flesh.

The dark glow of destruction energy continued to cling to them, which not only suppressed their regeneration, but also further undermined their structure.

It was clear that the Goliath had sustained so much damage that there was no way for it to recover anymore!

Even if the Goliath possessed the magical capability of mending its body after getting cut in half, the Riot Mark III’s latest strike vastly exceeded its limitations!

Just as people were beginning to come to grips with the Riot Mark III’s astonishing result, Saint Orfan already moved on to the next target.

Killing the Level 6 Goliath was just an appetizer in her opinion.

Her true adversary was much bigger and stronger

Before she challenged the Incubator directly, she first wanted to gain more proficiency by attacking other targets.

She already managed to learn a handful of lessons after she first eliminated the Goliath with the help of her demonic side.

Right now, she grew curious whether she could use the same methods to make mincemeat out of Level 7 Goliaths.

Fortunately, there were at least three ace mech-grade megavoribugs in the vicinity.

Aside from one Level 7 Goliath that she had previously brushed past, there were 2 more Goliaths of the same level that were still busy with tying down the Ur-Titan.

The difference was that the Level 7 Sudhar Goliath and Level 7 Korcho Goliath clearly understood that they were next.

Instead of splitting up or retreating, the latter two high-level Goliaths intensified their assault on the Ur-Titan!

The powerful Ascended Giant relied heavily on his skills, combat experience and most importantly his mid-grade superdimensional raiment to withstand the onslaught.

The giant had already thrown away his pride under this unremittent assault. He no longer thought of earning any glory by felling the Goliaths himself.

All he wanted to do was to last long enough for the nearby Larkinson ace mech to come to rescue!

Time was running out. Despite the formidable defensive power of his raiment, the Goliath Hive clearly understood how to defeat it in the most effective way possible.

While the Korcho Goliath continually ran interference, the Sudhar Goliath consistently attacked a small number of joints and weak points.

The repeated attacks rapidly caused the relevant armor sections to weaken!

So long as the Goliath managed to create a single opening, he would have multiple different ways to inflict effective damage to a human lesser phase lord!

The Ur-Titan clearly understood that his life was at stake. He did his best to protect his weak points and even took the initiative to absorb blows with the more armored sections of his raiment.

Unfortunately, skills and tactics had their limits. A mid-grade superdimensional raiment was not omnipotent, particularly one that happened to be an early-generation product.

Perhaps future versions of mid-grade superdimensional raiments would offer much greater protection at the same price levels, but these suits were so new and hastily designed that they offered very little excess value.

Soon enough, an elbow joint couldn’t take it any longer. The latest heavy claw strike from the Sudhar Goliath created a small breach!

Even though it was only several centimeters long, once this weakness emerged, it became a lot easier for the ferocious Goliath to expand this opening!

Phasewater-infused blood began to flow as the Ur-Titan finally showed signs of pain and weakness.

Yet just as the invigorated Level 7 Sudhar Goliath could sever the arm entirely, a destructive Saint Kingdom briefly enveloped its large body!

A brief period of confusion occurred before a deadly Destroyer spear accurately struck the Sudhar Goliath’s forearm!

Though the Goliath tried to evade the attack at the last second, Saint Orfan easily managed to keep her weapon on target.

The Riot Mark III easily managed to complete its goal!

Though the severing of a single arm was not that big of a deal to a Sudhar Goliath, it still took time and biomass to regenerate the organ.

Before the Goliath managed to regrow the arm, its offensive power dropped by a noticeable degree, preventing it from finishing off the Ur-Titan.

Not that Saint Orfan intended to give the Level 7 Goliath any chance to complete its job.

“YOU ARE NEXT!”

Instead of following up on her initial attack, the Riot Mark III abruptly changed course and completely ignored the injured but still very much functional Level 7 Sudhar Goliath in favor of targeting its brother!

The Level 7 Korcho Goliath did not pose any threat to a superdimensional ace mech like the Riot Mark III.

However, the ranged combatant possessed quite a lot of siege capacity. It would be annoying for it to retreat and continue to perform fire support duties at the rear of enemy lines.

In fact, the Goliath Hive pretty much wrote off most of the Goliaths in this quadrant of the battlefield entirely. It attempted to retreat the Korcho Goliath so that it could provide value elsewhere, but the battle hungry ace pilot did not intend to let one of her prey take flight!

“WHERE ARE YOU GOING!?”

Even though it was absolutely pointless to say anything to a mutated voribug, even if it was a much more powerful specimen than usual, Saint Orfan found it increasingly difficult to maintain her wits.

However, she found out that the more she drew upon the Prophet’s Bane’s strength, the more power she was able to exercise in combat!

Even if this power was impure and full of chaotic malice, Saint Orfan’s willpower still allowed her to direct it outwards rather than inwards.

At this time, she was not in a hurry to attack the Level 7 Sudhar Goliath.

Unlike its weaker Level 6 counterpart, the Level 7 one was significantly larger and tougher.

The Korcho Goliath on the other hand was just as large but significantly more fragile!

As a ranged combatant that was normally used for bombardment duties, the Korcho Goliath only needed to be tough enough to withstand ranged counterattacks.

It was absolutely unable to cope with a powerful melee mech like the Riot, and it showed as soon as the D-mech launched its first attack!

Empowered by both true resonance and demonic energies, the tier 3 Destroyer spear not only penetrated the Goliath’s exoskeleton in one go, but also set off a powerful explosion from within!

The Korcho Goliath’s body shook and rippled as a large chunk of his front side blew into pieces!

That was not all. Instead of retreating, the Riot Mark III fearlessly pressed on. Its Destroyer spear continually struck the injured Level 7 Goliath, causing its condition to rapidly deteriorate!

Though the Korcho Goliath tried its best to fend off the attacks, its ability to do so was wholly inadequate!

By the time a minute had passed, the Korcho Goliath finally expired!

“Too fast!”
