Chapter 4426: Centre

I had collected all the blue shirts, and it’s time for me to leave.

I turned, but not toward the exit, but toward the opposite side. The core sector, the place that I had been thinking about since I was sensing.

Its small, only a few hundred meters in diameter, and I want to look at it.

I have come this far and it would be a regret if I didn’t see it. Nobody has done it so far, and I want to be the one to make it happen. Not to be first or anything.

I have been since I read about this place the first time. I shouldn’t do this; it’s extremely risky, but I want to.

I struggled for over a minute to take a step toward it, then another, and then another. I took the step after step, till I was only a step away from it.

The purple mist in there is very dense, over ten times as dense. So much that my senses aren’t letting me see more than a few meters ahead.

I took a deep breath and stepped inside.

Immediately, the dense, powerful mist covered me. It is suppressing like a mountain, but sharp, that seemed to have only the purpose of breaking through my armor.

I had nearly taken the steps back when I stopped.

Yes, the pressure is great, but my armor is bearing it. The formations are changing as I watch, getting better as they adapt to the power of the mist.

I stayed in my spot, watching the changes while pushing my methods further.

Though soon, I reached the limit at forty-seven meters. This is as far as my methods could show me, which is not much.

A minute later, I took a step forward, then another, and another. I moved very slowly, not only because I am careful, but also because I had to move slowly in this environment to keep my stealth intact.

It is hard to believe that anything would survive in such a dense, chaotically powerful energy, but the plants around me are proof of that.

Since the plants could survive, the monsters wouldn’t have any problem in surviving either.

I am considering that there is a monster in here. Its why I didn’t dare to take the plants. These are extremely rare plants and some that will help me very much, but I need to be extremely careful.

I am already taking a massive risk in following curiosity. I cannot take any further risks.

I moved further, taking step after step, with each step the mist is getting denser, putting more pressure and shrinking the range of my methods.

Suddenly, I stopped and looked down. I nearly sent the string before stopping myself.

There is a blue-sartil metal, and the piece isn’t small. It’s around eleven times larger than the largest pieces I had found on this trip.

This is the first one I have found, but I am sure there are many more around me.

My methods to find metal had shrunk considerably. They now only cover a meter and a half. I might be able to find one with normal methods, but that is unlikely to happen.

Most of the pieces are beneath the earth; on average, forty-five inches deep, which is a lot, seeing how densely infused this energy is in the mist.

I want to take it out. Instead, I took the step forward. As I had said, I didn’t want to disturb anything that might be here.

I haven’t sensed anything yet, but my senses are covering a small range, and they are not as strong as they were outside. So, I had control of my greed.

Though I had marked the position. If I find this place safe, I will bring them out.

I took a few more steps and found another piece of blue-sartil. It is even bigger than the one earlier.

I stopped and calmed my mind before continuing to walk.

A minute passed, and then another, the mist is getting denser and more powerful. That, my range had not shrunk to twenty meters.

The pressure on me is tremendous. So much that I don’t think even the three strongest would be able to bear it.

The energy would find the way to enter their armor, and once it does. Bad things would happen almost instantly.

It may seem like I’m fine, but I’m far from it. I know how close I am to death. Even a few specks of this powerful energy will be enough to finish me off.

That’s how dangerous it is. The only reason I am standing here is that I bent some rules with the forbidden power.

I found another big piece, but this time, I didn’t stop at all. I have seen so many of them that now I have gotten used to them.

I could have come here directly, instead of the middle and central part of this place. Here, I had found more blue-sartil than all of the blue-sartil I had found in both of my trips.

It is also purer; my clone had analysed the data and confirmed it.

I pushed the thoughts and moved forward. I am close to the centre. In a few minutes, I will be able to reach. So, I now have to be more careful.

I avoided another tree and the biggest piece of blue sartil, which was only half buried in the earth.

It’s a challenge to my self-control, not to pull out that rock. I want to do it desperately. Instead, I took the step over it.

I hope there is nothing in here. Once. I’m sure of that, I will loot this place. This much blue-sartil will help me tremendously.

From my abode to my weapon, I would be able to use it to forge everything. It’s very good metal, strong with the ability to work with almost anything.

I was thinking that when I suddenly stopped. My sense had reached the centre.

I could see what’s there, and it is taking all my willpower not to gasp in shock.
