Chapter 2178: Escaping
"Human, let me show you the power of Grand Art," It said, and its eyes shone with the golden hue, and it came at me with exploding power.
Its attack was powerful, without doubt, more powerful than the previous attack, but there is some strangeness in it; the golden circular chain appeared on its big eyes. When it looked at me, I felt like it could see through me.
I became very careful, increasing the power of the crown of roses to the maximum, not caring for the huge headache it was giving me.
Its blazing sword came with the earthshaking power, and just when it was about to clash against my shield when it suddenly moved right around half a meter.
It attacked the biggest weakness my shields have, and it is very hard to see; even the experienced fighters like an Eagleman Vidette would have to fight me for hours to even know this weakness, much less formulate the best plan to attack it.
The process, which was supposed to take even the most experienced fighter of level hours, was done within a less than second.
The Grand Arts are terrifying, they are out of the world, very hard to defend against, and this bastard had the type of Grand Arts which hardest to defend against. The scrying one, the books I had read, have hundreds of horror stories of what these types of arts could do.
It attacked my biggest weakness, but how could I be without any means to deal with it since it is my biggest mistake.
My shields have vibrated, and a fraction of a moment later, a shield has appeared on the space where its flaming sword would pass through. Its speed is so great that even I am unable to see, its all done through the calculation.
CLANG!
Its sword clashed against my shield, lighting it and others, while it had a great surprise in its eye when it looked at my shield, which had just moved at extremely fast speed to defend against the attack.
This is sonic pass, one of the abilities I had developed for such emergencies. It could only be used to move the shields at a short distance and take a lot of energy; thankfully, energy consumption is something I could bear, especially since my tower had gone to my core.
"Humph!"
The surprise in its eyes lasted for only a moment before it harrumphed and attacked again, and this time to its attack seemed simple.
CLANG CLANG CLANG!
Like the last time, as its sword moved close to my shield. It had again attacked my biggest weakness, and I again used sonic pass.
It seemed to realize this ability might cost me alot as a small smirk appeared on its face, and it began to attack me with more speed and power. Its attacks are so fast and powerful that even masters of the same level would see tens of swords attacking simultaneously.
I am shocked by the power it is displaying. It is walking on the thin line that separates the Masters and Grandmasters.
For it defeating the videttes are no problem; I don't think even an Eagleman vidette that took me so long to defeat would last even a minute in front of it.
It may have gotten the huge power from its bloodline core, but it is its art that is most dangerous.
It is not only finding the weak spot in my armor but also analyzing me, getting better and better at predicting the moves that I feared; even with the sonic move, I won't be able to defend against it.
Though I have sufficient experience with the Grand Arts but not one of scrying type. It is my great luck that proficiency of the werewolf is not that high; from what I could deduct, the comprehension of its art is slightly higher than Danielle's.
If it had been at the level of my mother, then I could forget about defending against even a single move of its.
This is why those who create Bloodline Cores are extremely dangerous.
They receive many good things from their bloodline, and this werewolf seemed to be exceptionally lucky to receive a Grand Art from its bloodline while it is a Master; usually, it is Grandmasters who created bloodline core have a small hope of receiving a Grand Art from their bloodline.
I have to think about my survival; with the way it is analyzing me and attacking my weakness, it won't be long before it cracks through my defense, and that time I won't survive as it would only need a single move to finish me off.
"How are you feeling, Micheal? Still confident you could survive from me?" I asked with the same smile it had talked to me earlier.
"You should know one thing about me, I am very good at surviving. I have survived many impossible conditions that would kill others easily," I replied with a smile before activating the beacon on my wrist.
A surprise flashed across its eye, seeing that before a smile appeared back on its face. "The teleportation gate at Pyramid would need a stable space to pull you back."
"If it did not get stable space, it would not pull you back; you should be aware of this simple fact," It said and while intentionally exploding with aura to make space vibrate even more than it is already.
"You don't have to worry about that," I replied while again defending against its powerful attack.
"By the way, what is your name? I don't want to refer you to some werewolf in my mind," I asked. "Its Gars, and I won't let you leave Micheal," It said and attacked me furiously, again targeting my weakness.
"Until next time, Gars," I said as the connection got secured, and next second, a silvery pink wave released from me, and as the wave spread, it began to stabilize the space.
It immediately shocked the werewolf, and it moved to stop it, but the wave was too fast, and soon, it had spread through the whole area around me, and the moment it had covered the area around me and my shield, I disappeared from the ruin.
