Chapter 2545: Gaia’s System
<Gaia’s System Has Been Activated>
’Shura’s System was replaced?!’ Yuan cried inwardly after he saw the notifications.
’Gaia’s System... Does this world belong to Gaia?’
Yuan immediately assumed this Gaia to be an Eternal since their name sounded like one, and the previous two systems he had used were also created by Eternals.
’Damn it... What now?’ Yuan pondered with a solemn look on his face.
He could never have anticipated Shura’s System being replaced in such a manner.
’I haven’t even been able to contact Shura once since my reincarnation, and now my only clue to finding him is gone...’ he sighed inwardly.
’This Gaia... to be able to override Shura’s System, they must be much stronger than him.’
Ding!
Suddenly, another notification popped up.
<Gaia’s System has sensed an anomaly in the user>

"???"
Yuan was left speechless by the notifications, struggling to comprehend what had just happened.
’An anomaly within me? Does it have something to do with the curses that are still affecting me? Or is it something else?’
Before he could give it any thought, more notifications popped up.
<Gaia’s System has sensed an anomaly in the user>
<Searching For Treatment>
<Treatment Found>
<Utilizing Level 1 Treatment>

’It cured one of my curses!’ Yuan cried inwardly.
Although it had been confusing at first, he was beginning to understand Gaia’s System.
Based on everything that had happened so far, he could infer that Gaia’s System possessed a healing function capable of curing afflictions harmful to its user. However, receiving treatment required a certain level of credentials.
As for how he could increase those credentials, that remained unknown for the time being.
He had also learned that something potentially harmful was hidden within his body—something that required an exceptionally high level of credentials to treat. Yet, he had remained completely unaware of its existence until now, only aware of the curses.
’Just how terrifying is this anomaly if treating it requires credentials several levels higher than those needed for my curses?’ Yuan swallowed nervously.
His curses were already so powerful that he had struggled to remove them even with the Sacred Chalice of Purification. Yet Gaia’s System had erased one of them in the blink of an eye, and without requiring him to do anything at all.
’This Gaia’s System is so much more powerful and capable than the last two I had... Or should I say it’s more... complete?’
Yuan’s interest in this world and this Eternal named Gaia skyrocketed.
Suddenly, the liquid in the capsule began to drain, and the door opened shortly afterward.
Officer Mei grabbed his restraint and pulled him out of the capsule.
"Your registration is done," she said with an odd look on her face.
"Thanks, I guess..."
"..."
"What is it?" Yuan asked when Officer Mei remained silent, quietly staring at him.
"Nothing," she quickly said.
In truth, she wanted to question him about his existing system, but she decided against it since she had a feeling he would only waste her time with nonsensical answers.
"What now?" Yuan then asked. "Am I free to go?"
"Are you serious?" Officer Mei frowned before sneering, "You’re still on the hook for breaking the law. Not only were you outside without a suit, but you weren’t even regis—"
Officer Mei halted herself mid-sentence when she recalled that she had to override his system, so he technically had one.
"So what? Are you going to throw me in jail?"
"Perhaps. It’s not too late to tell me the truth."
"I have not lied to you," Yuan sighed while shaking his head.
"..."
Officer Mei could tell that Yuan was being genuine by his tone and crystal-clear eyes, but his explanation was just too outrageous.
"If you’re really from another world, where did you come from?"
"A place called the Nine Heavens."
"Nine Heavens? What a weird name," she remarked. "Then where is it? And how did you come to our world?"
"I can’t answer your first question since I don’t know. As for how I got here... I also don’t know. I walked through a door, and before I knew it, I was here."
An incredulous expression appeared on Officer Mei’s face as she listened to this nonsense.
"If you remove my restraints, I can prove it to you," Yuan then said.
"..."
After a bit of hesitation, Officer Mei removed his restraints. Since Yuan’s aura was so weak, she wasn’t worried that he might try something and was fully confident that she could take him down at any point.
"Here, look at—"
"?!?!"
Yuan’s eyes widened when he noticed that the Spatial Rings on his fingers had vanished.
"Huh? Where did they go?"
He immediately began patting down his body.
’No way! Did I drop them somewhere?’ he cried inwardly.
Then, he recalled the moment he first arrived in this world.
’No... They were already gone by the time I came here! Does this mean that only my soul has traveled to this world, and my true body is still in the Nine Heavens?’ he quickly came to this conclusion.
’"I must admit..." Officer Mei suddenly spoke.
"I have arrested many people in my decade-long career, and your acting is on an entirely different level—one of the best I have seen. Unfortunately, you’re also one of the worst liars. Though, this works to my benefit since I would have been fooled by you if your deception was even half as good as your acting."
"..."
Yuan stared at her with raised eyebrows, wondering if there was anything he could say to convince this woman, who was a splitting image of Meixiu, that he wasn’t messing with her.
