Chapter 4525: A Level-Headed Clan
Ralaza Heavenshade glanced at Davis before returning her gaze to his son, who had reluctantly turned to her while still kneeling and cupped his hands, bowing.
"Fairy Ralaza, I sincerely apologize for making a killing move. I realize now that I was just being too cautious or even scared, eliminating people before they could gain an advantage over me. I realize I was wrong."
"You..." Ralaza Heavenshade’s gaze went complicated.
She looked as though she was put in a spot. As a cultivator, she also understood that every battle here is a part of life and death. She was naturally angry at being ambushed, but she never said it was wrong, so for Azariel to apologize, she didn’t know where to spend this anger.
She could only look at Davis, feeling complicated.
She couldn’t believe he made his first son apologize to her. That was a thing most families never did since it would destroy their reputation. The first son’s or the most talented genius of the family’s reputation was to prop up the family and not put it down.
"..."
Meanwhile, Davis was stupefied.
Scared? That was the least thing he expected his son to be in front of others.
By revealing that he could be scared, his cunning son appeased Ralaza Heavenshade just like that. He put himself in a position that implied that he was still a child and learning.
It was unknown if Azariel’s apology was sincere or not since he didn’t use Heart Intent here. But since Azariel had apologized, Davis nodded, turning to look at Ralaza Heavenshade.
"Do you accept his apology, Ralaza Heavenshade?"
"You didn’t need to go that far. You will ruin your relationship with your son." Ralaza Heavenshade said with a complicated expression on her face, her eyes avoiding his gaze.
"What are you saying?" Davis blinked, "Disciplining my son comes foremost than the fact that you were almost killed."
"You- you’re so hateful!"
Ralaza Heavenshade stamped her feet, looking angered, but she harrumphed and looked away.
"But that’s fine. You’ve always been like this, prioritizing your family above everything else. I accept Azariel Davis’s apology. However, my brother’s arm is severed and poisoned. If you don’t do something now, I will seriously hate you~"
She screamed at him but had her eyes closed as though she was afraid, causing Davis to finally loosen a bit.
"Viridia, clear the poison."
He gestured, freeing Viridia, who then waved her hand.
Rath Heavenshade’s severed arm had been completely poisoned while he used his energy to stop the poison from spreading over to his shoulder. He finally heaved a sigh of relief at his mention and presented his arm.
The poison energy was then completely removed, causing him to heave a sigh of relief.
His severed arm was lost to poison, which completely contaminated it, but he could regenerate a new arm easily since he was a fey. He popped a regenerative healing pill into his mouth to boost his healing prowess somewhat. However, he found it to his surprise that his arm couldn’t regenerate.
"Viridia’s base prowess is eleven levels higher while yours is ten levels higher. She’d defeat you even in a frontal battle, so healing it isn’t going to be easy. Would you let me heal you?"
Davis asked, causing Rath Heavenshade to consider for a few seconds before he nodded.
Raising his hand and flicking a finger, Davis simply released a wisp of life energy that fell over the severed part of Rath Heavenshade’s arm, and his arm began to quickly regenerate, like it had popped out from his arm because it was hiding all this time.
"What the..."
Rath Heavenshade muttered, completely taken aback by the healing process.
He knew his own regenerative prowess. It was nowhere near this level of speed. He could only cast a glance at Davis in shock, knowing this deviation of this universe wouldn’t be dying anytime soon, much less easily with this kind of healing prowess.
"Many thanks, Divine Emperor of Death." With his new arm, he cupped his hands and appeared grateful.
"Thanks." Ralaza Heavenshade also looked happy. She came closer and looked grateful, "Since you said we’re friends, you can just call me Ralaza."
Davis raised his brows, "Are you not afraid of the consequences of being friendly with me? Your power might brand you a traitor or a witch and burn you alive."
Rath Heavenshade should’ve also thought of the same consequences, but still made the decision to be healed by him.
"How can that be?" Ralaza Heavenshade giggled, her expression smug, "We Azure Dragons are not that foolish to be unswervingly righteous. We know how to differentiate between right and wrongs, good and evil, gratitude and enmity, debt and favors."
"Then your clan has a good leadership." Davis nodded.
In his opinion, the supreme geniuses of the Heavenshade Clan were one of the most promising bunch out there.
"Realm Master Klayton Heavenshade is known for his wits rather than his brawn, although we’re proud of both."
Ralaza Heavenshade placed a hand on her hips and looked prideful, "I just learned this decade he’s an Absolute Primarch, the only one in our Heavenshade Clan. Do you know what they are?"
Davis was shaken, but he nodded, "I know."
"Tch..." Ralaza Heavenshade clicked her tongue.
How come an Anarchic Divergent being chased around the world knows all these things?
"W-What she’s saying is true." Fairy Xiu Juili spoke up, "The Heavenshade Clan is good to me. They haven’t forced me to do anything other than funding my cultivation and asking me to complete missions."
"That’s because I protected my friend, although I don’t know how long I can continue to do that since that bastard Riaz is going to ask her hand in marriage sooner or later, since he had already expressed favor a few times." Ralaza Heavenshade complained.
Davis was pleasantly surprised at the Heavenshade Clan. He figured that this Klayton Heavenshade really was a good and competent leader for the supreme geniuses to stay in line and adhere to his commands.
Grand Elder Terronoir Heavenshade also gave him a good impression. They appeared to be level-headed figures who didn’t have many weaknesses. If he were to compare, they gave him the same feeling as Reselius Zenflame, who was extremely smart, that he had plenty of methods to survive even after getting killed by him.
But unlike Reselius Zenflame, these two gave him the feeling of goodness.
He guessed he could give the Heavenshade Clan a chance, even if they were to offend him in the future, but only for a minor offense.
But as for Fairy Xiu Juili, his expression lit up.
"So Fairy Xiu Juili is a beautiful flower shining under the moonlight, possibly seeking to be illuminated by sunlight and bloom. I wonder if I, the evil Divine Emperor of Death, will get the chance to have your hand in marriage?"
"..." Evelynn’s brows raised.
Azariel and Viridia were stunned.
