Chapter 1220: Flow of Energy Pill

Chapter 1220: Flow of Energy Pill

"Thank you, Saint I- No, I mean, Palace Master!" Celia said as her eyes widened in excitement.

Saint Izroth and Apothecary Izroth sounded a bit too stuffy for Celia. Now that she was a part of the Mystical Realm Palace and hearing Worldly Skies refer to Izroth as Palace Master, she decided to do the same.

Celia happily accepted the pill from Izroth and immediately sniffed it to take in its scent as she thoroughly examined the grade five pill.

"I will put you in contact with the manager of the Mystical Realm Palace, Aurora. If there are any special ingredients or equipment that you require, you can request it through her. If you plan on selling the pills you make through the Mystical Realm Palace, that can be arranged as well. Additionally, I will set aside a credit line of 10,000 gold coins for you that scales with the conversion rate. You can use it to freely purchase whatever materials or items you need. You will also receive a monthly salary of 200 gold coins. Of course, you’re welcome to spend it as you see fit." Izroth stated calmly.

Celia was a grade four Apothecary who was soon to become a grade five Apothecary. The number of players in RML who could accomplish the same could be counted on one’s hand alone. Rather, perhaps they were all already gathered at the Mystical Realm Palace.

The reason behind Izroth’s generous conditions were simple. For one, he believed in giving a person their worth. In truth, the monthly salary was below what an Apothecary of like Celia should be paid. However, the benefits he provided far exceeded 200 gold coins.

With the current conversion rate, 10,000 gold coins was equivalent to roughly 1,500,000 RMB. A normal craftsman of the Mystical Realm Palace only received about 3% to 4% of that amount for their credit line. However, that was mainly because Izroth prioritized character and trustworthiness over talent.

Until those craftsmen grew and proved themselves through their efforts and skills, Izroth would only invest what he thought to be a suitable amount.

But, unlike those craftsmen, Celia had an actual master was part of the Order of a Thousand Blossoms. That, paired with her natural talent as an Apothecary and never ending curiosity, made her a person Izroth found worthy of his investment.

’Should I be grateful for the way the Order of a Thousand Blossoms handles things?’

Since the Order of a Thousand Blossoms was nurturing Celia’s abilities as an Apothecary, as was common in organizations with its long history and influence, the pills she crafted using the Order’s materials were all claimed by the Order. In return, she would be given a small reward for her contribution.

In the eyes of outsiders, it might seem unfair; however, an organization like the Order of a Thousand Blossoms, while not against its disciples having wealth, did not actively encourage it. And, since the Order provided all basic necessities to its disciples, they could focus solely on their training.

That being said, while it was not that big of a deal for the residents of this world, Celia was a player. As such, she needed a way to stand on her own two feet.

Celia was taken aback by Izroth’s conditions as she could not hide the dumbfounded expression on her face. Whenever she crafted pills in the Order, she would only receive a few gold coins or be able to exchange them for some additional materials.

It also did not help that her master was someone who had detached herself from all worldly desires like money. At this point in her life, everything she did was for the Order or self enlightenment. Fortunately, while she often encouraged Celia to do the same, she never forced her to walk down the same path.

"If you run out of funds, feel free to ask for more. As long as it’s being put to good use, I won’t deny your request. Of course, assuming that it’s within reason." Izroth clarified.

Celia was left speechless as she looked down at the Flow of Energy Pill in the palm of her hands. A few seconds later, she closed her eyes tightly before taking the pill. The following moment, she opened her eyes and looked at Izroth.

"You won’t regret it. One day, I will show you a pill that changes what it means to be an Apothecary!" Celia said determinedly.

"I look forward to that day." Izroth commented with a carefree smile.

After exchanging a few more words, Celia began to browse some of the books on the bookshelves that caught her interest.

As for Izroth, he also took the time to consume a Flow of Energy Pill.

When Izroth took the Flow of Energy Pill, he felt a refreshing sensation spread throughout every part of his body. His pores seemed to open up and become unclogged as he had an easier time feeling the mana in his surroundings.

Despite this sensation, there were no major changes that occurred—that is, except one.

’Oh? It actually doubled my artificial mana pool reserves from the Fourth Seal of the Seal of Ten Chakrams. This will help increase the number of options I have in combat.’

In terms of stats, Izroth was lacking in three areas—his health, mana and magic. However, while Izroth’s current HP was considered to be on the lower end for someone of his level and playstyle, he had three things to make up for it. The first two things were his Might stat and Heavenly Golden Body’s Greater Physique passive. This made him impervious to all attacks that did not surpass a certain threshold.

There was also the Immortal Persona, the Dragon Lord of the Abyss, Dragon’s Scale ability, which essentially doubled his HP upon use.

Not to mention, he recently crafted the Life Gathering Pill, which would also aid in bolstering his HP.

As for magic stat—this was one of Izroth’s biggest headaches. The Apparel of Insatiable Transcendence could only eat armor pieces; however, most of the times, the magic stat was concentrated in a weapon. Or, even accessories such as rings or necklaces. It was rare for armor pieces to grant a flat amount of the magic stat.

Needless to say, Izroth had come up with a few methods to increase his magic stat—one of which was taking pills that increased magic. But, he understood that he could not rely on pills alone to make up for his lack of magic. As for other methods he had in mind, the majority of them involved taking a trip to the Mother of All Forests.

When it came to his mana stat, it had improved quite a bit ever since he received the Seal of Ten Chakrams from the Wiseman of Everpeak, Kryxelsia. After unlocking the Fourth Seal, he even received an artificial mana pool that could store up to 5,000 mana. Of course, that number had increased to 10,000 thanks to the effects of the Flow of Energy Pill. Thanks to that, Izroth’s immediate concerns regarding his lack of mana could be put to rest.

...

A few moments later...

"I have brought Apothecary Izroth’s guest. Since I have carried out my task, I shall excuse myself." Grazeio said respectfully before he left the private room.

The reason Grazeio did not wait around was because Oaklein had departed from the private room not long ago.

After Oaklein received the hydra’s blood from izroth, he had to deal with a few things in regards to the portion he secured for the Apothecary Guild. As a result, he took his leave from Malric’s private room.

As for Cryosa—she was eager to start exploring the possibilities of the hydra’s blood she obtained and also excused herself after reassuring Izroth that she will send people to take care of things at the Mystical Realm Palace as promised.

In the end, the only people left in the private room were Izroth, Celia, Malric and the new arrival, Worldly Skies.

"Palace Master, this is..." Worldly Skies was amazed as she her gaze darted around the private room.

"If Palace Master Izroth did not send me that message ahead of time, I would have thought that someone was pulling a prank on me." Worldly Skies thought to herself.

The private room on the 9th floor made the room she used on the 4th floor look like a broom closet in comparison.

"You must be Apothecary Worldly Skies. A guest of Apothecary Izroth, is a guest of mine. Make yourself comfortable." Malric said warmly.

"Ah, pardon the intrusion." Worldly Skies replied politely.

She did not know who this old man was, but he did not give off the vibes of an attendant. Plus, if he could be on the 9th floor of the Apothecary Guild like this and treat her as a guest, then...

Worldly Skies eyes wandered to the Apothecary badge attached to Malric’s shoulders. And, when she saw the grade and design of the badge, it caused her eyes to widen in shock.
