“Oh, I’ll come back tomorrow then,” Luosang was ready to leave.

“Stand right there,” a familiar voice called out, “I know you’re looking for Zhongyi because of Producer Yuan. It’s the same as talking to me.”

Luosang took a deep breath, and she turned around to see Yi Jingxi standing behind Zeng Zhun in a grey cashmere cardigan over a white t-shirt. He looked handsome and casual, all while exuding a charismatic vibe.

She smiled, “It’s not the same. You are an attached man who slept with another woman, and yet you’re still insisting that I’m your fiancé. I must be wary against you. Who knows what kind of disgusting things you would do to me. No matter what though, Zhongyi is a girl, and I don’t have to worry about her harassing me.”

“Even Zhongyi has to listen to me. Do you understand?” Yi Jingxi said plainly, “If you leave now, you’re doing a disfavor to Professor Ma who once helped you.”

Luosang gave a cold smile. He had clearly figured out her various social connections.

“Come in, don’t worry. I won’t force you to do anything you don’t want to. I’m fried after an entire night with Zhongyi yesterday, and I don’t have the energy to force myself onto you,” Yi Jingxi said.

A feeling of disgust bubbled in Luosang’s stomach as she looked at the handsome face in front of her.

Zeng Zhun frowned as he stepped aside to make way for Luosang.

“Zhongyi’s not here, and you shall make me lunch today. Tidy up the house while you’re at it too,” Yi Jingxi sat on the couch and fished out his phone, “I’ll pass Producer Yuan’s film during the assessment at the end of the month if you do a good job.”

“It’s only a week away from the assessment. Are you toying with me?” Luosang couldn’t believe his generous proposition.

“I mean it wouldn’t hurt for you to see whether I’ll keep my promise till the end of the month, and there’s only a couple of days left,” Yi Jingxi said without raising his head.

Luosang scoffed, “Huh. Zhongyi and you are both nasty people. If I have to serve you guys, it’ll be like entering a lion’s den. No matter how short the duration is, I’ll have to keep my guards up at all times in case you guys sell me out.”

“I won’t,” Yi Jingxi looked her in the eye, it was hard to read his thoughts.

How could he bear to sell her away, he just wanted to deal with Xu Zhengxuan.

Luosang smiled coldly as if she would believe him. Yi Jingxi had almost sold her off to Mr. Lin previously.

“You can fool a three-year-old but not me. You keep company with people like Mr. Lin, and how many of the artistes under your company have you sold off to him?”

“What nonsense are you saying?” Yi Jingxi looked grim.

Luosang was surprised. He didn’t do those things?

But according to their conversation previously, Yi Jingxi seemed to be quite close with Mr. Li so he must be putting on an act in front of her. That was what he was best at anyway.

“I’m not lying to you. If you want them to pass the assessment at the end of the month then you better hurry along and go marketing. Pick up the groceries and make me rice and dishes for lunch,” Yi Jingxi instructed her coldly.

Luosang bit on her lip, “Ok, but you have to give me money for the groceries because I don’t have money.”

Yi Jingxi glanced over at Zeng Zhun and he handed over three hundred dollars to Luosang.

“You should know what I enjoy eating, don’t be stingy with the food, and return the remaining cash,” Yi Jingxi said.

“…Ok,” Luosang said.

Gee, did he have to be so calculative when it comes to petty cash, how did he change so much? Luosang thought.

She found herself missing Nian Junting.

She suddenly realized that Nian Junting hadn’t called her during breakfast this morning, was he still angry?

“What are you dazing about, hurry along now,” Yi Jingxi reprimanded her.

Luosang left the house silently.

After the door closed, Zeng Zhun walked over to Yi Jingxi where he was sitting and asked, “Jingxi, must you really be so harsh? Would it be better if you changed your way of communicating with her?”
