Chapter 472: A Parasite With an Appetite
Translator: Sparrow Translations Editor: Sparrow Translations
Apart from the ugly creature, there were a few strange balls beside it that were either red, white, or yellow in colour. They looked chewy, and together with the worm-like creature, the ugliness was even more pronounced.

Creature Introduction: How could you bear to harm such a cute thing?
The worm-like parasite was opening its eight-pronged mouth and chasing the red blood cell. The image was pretty cute, but after seeing the creature’s introduction, a wave of disturbance arose inside them.
It didn’t feel right to watch the parasite eat the blood cells.
“What a piece of trash…” Nine Solitary Spears said after seeing the Platelet’s attributes.
He wasn’t wrong though, such creatures were only around 10 levels ago.
Fearless rolled his eyes, “You can go ahead then.”.
The small creatures were not to be underestimated, especially the parasite. Even though it had a meagre 5000 health, Fearless knew that it was no easy monster to deal with.
After all, something that could hurt the ancient giant beast had to be powerful.
The notion of judging a creature’s power by its health total was outdated, especially at this stage. For something like this to appear here, the creature either had some sort of overpowered ability, or it was immortal.
Nine Solitary Spears knew that Fearless was just baiting him, he was no fool.
“I’ll give you that one,” he replied.
“Lets begin,” Fearless issued the command.
Yang Nuo pulled her bow back and shot the most harmless looking platelet. After it got it, it took a few steps back.
“…” this was the first time anyone in the game had seen a creature back away after getting hit instead of drawing aggro.
“Hit the red one and give it a shot,” Fearless said as he pointed at the red blood cell. He didn’t dare to deal with the parasite yet.
“Biu!”.
Another arrow flew over and hit the red blood cell.

Its health decreased by half immediately.
“!!!” the crowd looked at Yang Nuo as if they had just seen a monster.
Archers relied on sustained DPS to deal damage. Even though they had a decent amount of physical attack, but it was nothing compared to a mage or assassin. This amount of damage dealt by a single arrow was staggering.
“It’s not me… my physical attack isn’t that high,” Yang Nuo immediately waved them off.
“Could it be that this creature is an untargetable guardian?” Fearless gasped.
In “Rebirth”, there was a type of monster that was called a untargetable guardian that would receive damage as per normal under single target enemy abilities. But under attacks from allies, their health would drop ten times the normal amount.
“Ah…”.
Just at this moment, Di Kapia let out a pained groan, “It feels terrible…”.
“It is a untargetable guardian indeed!”.
Di Kapia’s groan confirmed this fact.
The blood cells were a part of Di Kapia’s body, of course they were there to aid him, the squad was supposed to help protect the cells, not damage them.
Understanding this now, Fearless immediately pointed to the parasite, “Attack that worm!”.
Because of the previous attack, the red blood cell was immediately quashed by the parasite.
Hearing Fearless’ orders, Yang Nuo immediately unleashed an arrow upon the parasite.

The Parasite lost a big chunk of health as it raised its head and charged over.
“Guardians, hold the front!”.
Thunderlord and Crotch Lord immediately went forward and taunted the parasite.
This was where powerful knowledge contradicted with effectiveness- because the two went forward at he same time, it created unnecessary struggle.
Crotch Lord’s taunt landed first as the parasite spat a mouthful of green acid at him.
He raised his shield to block the attack, but his face turned white instantly- the shield was not broken, but its durability had gone down by one fifth… what a terrifying creature.
At the same time, Thunderlord unleashed his taunt as the creature’s aggro was shifted.
The parasite’s body was long and thin, using a sword to try and cut it would be foolish. With a twist of its body, it wrapped itself around Thunderlord’s blade.
Just as Thunderlord finished his attack movement, the parasite opened its mouth wide and stuck its eight suction cups on his face. It twirled its tail backwards and slid into Thunderlord’s mouth.
“Ugh…”.
The crowd couldn’t help but groan at this disgusting sight. If this wasn’t a game, some might even have vomited.
The game designers must have had a screw loose in their heads to have developed such a creature. Even though everyone pretty much didn’t like Thunderlord, they only had pity for him now.
“This isn’t good, the creature’s health has regenerated.”.
Disgusting things aside, everyone suddenly grew more serious as they saw the health bar above the parasite’s head go back to full.
“F*ck, let’s attack it quick!”.
Ming Du shouted as he unleashed a thunderbolt.

The damage arose but the creature’s health barely dipped. Thunderlord’s health, on the other hand, took a massive hit.
