Chapter 236

Chapter 236: Never Retreat, Magic Conductors

Marc Gavin only knew Qian Jin was a Forge Grandmaster, but he did not know Qian Jin as was able to make soul weapons. There was a significant difference!

After the excitement, Marc Gavin regained the sluggish expression! Deep in the heart, Qian Jin felt a little bit of sympathy for the president, and he would tell the elder nothing about him being an all-field Pharmacist! It was too inhumane if the leader of Torrent Battle Fort was scared into a psychopath!

“We should go out to eat, and you should also prepare yourself for the new semester! We have been gone for over a month. I’m afraid the academic year at the Punitive Expedition Academy has probably begun already. Pack up and go get yourself familiar with the academy first!” Fabreidis said with a smile. “Keep this in mind, never underestimate anyone or anything there! The academy had been established for so many years and you will not only learn in that place but from other classmates! In the meanwhile, you can also broaden your horizons there.”

Qian Jin nodded out of modesty! In fact, he had consulted with Fanta Kunge on this matter some days ago, and he came to acknowledge the existence of the advanced academies. It was not enough to find a secluded place and practice in the Endless World. He needed more! The academies were the best places which can provide warriors with better rewards as resources, such as different Energy Stones, Energy Cores, materials and even money based on grades.

Advanced war academies were the empire’s base for warrior cultivation. And most importantly, they were the starting point where warriors made their names heard! There were two best places for a warrior to become famous!

One was the brutal Human-Demon Battlefront, and the other was Zence New Generation Warrior and Mage Competition, the arena held for all newly enrolled warriors by all the advanced war academies joined together! Any freshmen warriors or mages were eligible to participate in this event! Even if you had graduated already, you could still take a part in this as long as you had not done it before!

There were actually a lot of graduates who chose to show their face in the competition that held once every three years after a long period of practice on the Human-Demon Battlefront.

The arena would re-arrange the academies’ ranking and bring out the best warriors or mages of the generation! Not only the winner, King of the New Generation, would secure the supreme glory and reward, but also the top ten or even the top 50 could get different trophies.

Weapons, money, status, and reputation! In addition to the throne, one could get whatever he could think of!

Countless great warriors stated their names and paths here throughout the history of the Zence Empire! The competition in the recent years, in particular, stood out! If calculated according to time, the arena now was waiting for some of the strongest warriors who would become Ultimate Bloodline Warriors in the future!

Since the establishment of this competition, there had been a super genius who achieved the fastest Bloodline Power Awakening! He was a Tri-head Golden Dragon Bloodline Warrior, and his Ultimate Awakening had directly and successfully scared off all the contestants that year!

Advanced War Academy! Qian Jin stretched his body as he yawned. He had been busy forging soul weapons last month, and he finally had some time to go to the Endless World! He had been a Level 10 Pharmacist for ages now, and it was about time to step into the Pharmacy Grandmaster threshold.

The smoke from the cooking fires seeped out through the chimneys of the houses, and they revealed an unusual serenity and peace against the rosy clouds of dawn.

Taking a deep breath, Qian Jin felt his fatigue had been chased away by the refreshment. The Endless World was a magic place. Every time he came here, he felt like he had come back home!

The second Qian Jin went into Blake’s courtyard, he was attracted and stunned by a red sword placed next to the furnace! He could feel how sharp the oppressive cold blade was even with naked eyes!

It was a soul weapon! During the last month, Qian Jin had been doing nothing but dealing with the soul weapon for Fabreidis. He knew it for sure the second he saw the weapon. It was exactly the Zeven Sword he had been striving for last month.

Against all expectations, Blake did not smoke today. Instead, he was sleeping, curling up in the corner without any signs of waking up in a short time.

Standing in front of the Zeven Sword, Qian Jin felt so touched! Blake didn’t like talking, but he knew what this young man was looking for. So he simply forged a sword out as a kind reference for Qian Jin.

Although books also contained a lot of details, it was far better with a real object to refer to.

Qian Jin took a closer look at the sword. There was a metal ball on the red hilt, and mysterious magic arrays were carved on it. Inside the ball, traces of blood were quietly shaking.

Were these…Qian Jin suddenly looked back to the sleeping Blake. It was not just a Zeven Sword! Blake had didn’t use the blood of Flame Demon! He used runes and the blood of a Roaring Flame Demon Tiger.

This sword was exactly the one he forged! During the time he was absent, Blake forged it out as a reference for him, and other two of his master also came here to help.

Under his gaze, Blake muffled himself up well, turned his body to the other side and continued to sleep.

Qian Jin seriously doubted this old blacksmith was pretending to be sleeping in order to avoid some touchy words and hugs!

Gently stroking the sword over and over, Qian Jin put up an earnest look! His warrior power moved so smoothly in the body of the sword that it felt like the power was like a fish swimming in water!

Feeling the difference between this sword and the one he had forged a few days ago, Qian Jin’s eyebrows twisted from time to time.

They were of the same shape and material, but internally, there was a huge difference.

This Zeven Sword had been made with one hammer! Qian Jin once again cast an admired eye to the asleep master! Qian Jin was fully aware that he was able to do this if he was to forge an ordinary Level 1 Warrior Weapon, but if he wanted to make something of higher quality, he must use different hammers at different positions.

A soul weapon made by one hammer was greatly differenced in quality from the ones made by multiple strikes of multiple hammers!

Qian Jin still remembered Blake called this an attack of blasting. The skill without any stagnation was more sophisticated.

Feeling the soul weapon in hand, Qian Jin gradually recalled how he had made his and where he had made mistakes. He made the corrections in his head with his eyes closed and then drew a comparison at last. He felt it was more rewarding this way than simply burying his head in forging and creating two other soul weapons.

Quietly standing in the same spot for more than five hours, Qian Jin spat out a long breath as if something had come off his chest. How fortunate was he to have such a considerate master! He would not have found the mistakes he made without Blake’s guidance!

Laying down the sword, Qian Jin relaxed his shoulders while thinking about why both Fabreidis and the old man in the Four Seasons Valley insisted that he should continue his study in an advanced war academy. There was a reason they never said so explicitly.

It was the realm! A warrior couldn’t improve his warrior power by hours of drills a day. If so, institutions would lose their usefulness. For instance, being a Demon Fighter, one could easily reach his warrior power peak. But it sometimes would take the rest of a warrior’s life to make a breakthrough and advance to a Demon Capturer because he didn’t find the way, didn’t find his unique path.

Forward! Forward! Forward! Never step back!

Looking up at the sky, Qian Jin fell into a reverie. It would probably have taken him at least a few years to become what he was now if it wasn’t for the fierce fight against the Two Star of the Dark Group and the timely encounter with the female bandit Hayen Brianna.

Except teaching secret techniques and how to improve warrior power, advanced war academies helped warriors make fewer detours.

Walking into the thatched “library”, Qian Jin picked up Blake’s notebook.

“Magic Conductor?” Qian Jin raised his eyebrows at this title. He had been learning forging from Blake for such a long time, but he had never heard of this thing.

Turning over the title page, Qian Jin forced out a wry smile at the description in the book. It said nothing about the so-called Magic Conductor but a lot of secret weapons that could be seen in the Zence Empire and the Barbarian.

Sleeve Arrow: arrows hidden in the sleeves for sneak raids. The arrows were usually placed in a narrow tube, under which there was a spring. With one push on the starting gear, arrows would shoot out and kill people within 30 meters.

“So it is…” It suddenly crossed his mind that the blacksmiths in the Zence Empire also produced this kind of secret weapon, except the product was far less powerful than they had imagined. It couldn’t even hit a Level 9 Demon Fighter at a short range!

Not to mention that if the armor was made of Purified Iron. The penetration force was not strong enough! But for mages, it was a qualified self-defense tool. He might make some for Gabriella and Rosella who lacked physical strength.

Turning over another page, Qian Jin’s face suddenly brightened. Plum Flower Sleeve Arrow! Different from the one mentioned above, there was a total of twelve arrows loaded respectively in six tubes with two in each arm. The center tube hid the strongest arrow, and the rest of the five surrounding five tubes were less powerful. What’s more? the arrows could be launched alone as well as together.

“Unfortunately, the impact force isn’t perfect…” Qian Jin turned over another page, and the two fingers holding the book froze in the air as his pupils suddenly shrink to the size of a needle’s tip

The third page introduced how to intensify this thrust force through a few gears, which involved many complicated connections and forging methods.

Qian Jin’s expression increased seriousness as he skimmed through the notebook. The sketches were not made by just a blacksmith. From the middle of the book, the secret weapons and the springs were not just pieces of pure machinery but carved out with different magic arrays by a Rune Master. There were also some mini sleeve arrows empowered by magic cores and stones, which surpassed strong bows in terms of penetration.
