Chapter 436 - Entering the Base

Chapter 436: Entering the Base

“You see, I wasn’t wrong, it’s really the guild’s secret base in here! Right, Brother, where’s my cousin? It’s definitely him who asked you to come save us, right?” In a room in the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group’s secret base, the Gunner player carrying a silver submachine gun had delight on his face as he bragged to the three companions beside him.

“You all stay here, don’t go anywhere before I return.” An Earth Manipulator player with a hateful expression said unhappily. After hearing the Gunner player’s words, he froze a bit before continuing to probe. “Your cousin? Who is your cousin? Is it Old Boot, or Old B?”

“No, he’s not all you’ve said, my cousin’s ID is…” This Gunner player boasting to his companions had wanted to speak but right after, he suddenly paused, as if there was someone who had sent a message through the Communicator.

“Hehe, there wasn’t any cousin, I was afraid you all wouldn’t help just now, so I made it up blindly.” Following that, the Gunner player’s eyes turned as he said in a completely changed tone.

“You all just stay here, do not leave without permission.” The Earth Manipulator glared at the Gunner player, then turned and closed the door, his face had confirmed his guess. This little brat definitely had a cousin as an agent.

“Alright, we can now rest for a bit.” After the Earth Manipulator left, the Gunner player said in relief.

“Brother Feng, cousin isn’t coming to see us?” The female Light Armored Warrior spoke in a voice that would make someone commit crimes.

“Sh! I tell y’all, Cousin had just sent me a message to scold me…” The Gunner player put a finger in front of his mouth, glancing at the wristwatch on his hand as he spoke softly, after which he quietly flinched at the pinhole monitor somewhere above his head.

He pretended to talk intentionally, with the monitor blocked by his body.

Within less than a second, an inconspicuous transparent Chip was inserted into the interface of a remote terminal in the wall of the room.

……

“What? Damn it!” In the surveillance office in the base, the Heavy Armored Warrior who had hung up the Communicator was grim. “The headquarters sent a message that the city-wide surveillance had seen that more than 200 Federation camp players are coming towards here!”

The main image of the surveillance had already switched into many split scenes of the nearby streets.

Many teamed Federation camp players, under the lead of players with the Veterans Tribe bullet insignia on their chests, were rapidly clearing zombies as they came surrounding the building.

“The Veterans Tribe! F*ck, must be those people at the commercial center just now, it’s likely that they’ve already discovered something using Detection. They purposely didn’t say it, but rather directly called for people using the Communicator, hoping to have us all surrounded.”

In the surveillance office, there were other players scolding.

“Aren’t their Communicators disrupted?”

There were also some doubtful players.

“The disruption isn’t absolute, some special tools can still go around the signal disruption at close distances, just like our internal communication channel.”

“What now?”

Everyone looked towards the Heavy Armored Warrior whose face was even paler.

“What else can we do…prepare for battle. There’s so many people, we definitely can’t let them enter the base and start a battle; and if the mission NPC is dead then we’ll be waiting for the leader to kick everyone out of Elite team. Other than the third small team, everyone better listen to my arrangement and get out for battle.” The Heavy Armored Warrior’s face was grim as he said in agitation staring at those Federation camp players on the surveillance image coming closer and closer.

“Our numbers are not advantageous if we go down to fight.” A worried player said.

Despite being the guild’s Elite players, their number of people was not half of that of the opponent, their chance of victory was really low.

The most important thing was that once they showed their faces, there might regretfully be more Federation camp players crowding over, as it was not just a guild battle but a camp battle.

Even though quite a lot of Federation camp players died last night, their numbers were still far higher than theirs.

“Our mission is to defend for a while, the headquarters’ aid is already on the way, plus Leader has specially deployed Seven Kills here, it would take him at most five minutes to arrive.” The Heavy Armored Warrior was already walking out of the surveillance office with a cold face.

“Seven Kills!”

“That one’s rad.”

“That fellow…”

Hearing this ID, admiration appeared on some people’s faces, but there were also people who showed condescension.

Regardless, Roaring Dragon Seven Kills had effortlessly won in the PK against Roaring Dragon Invincible last night, hence concretizing his “Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group’s number one expert” ability.

For him to lead the team saw the level of importance that Roaring Dragon Lightwind had placed on the NPC little girl.

Everyone’s heart trembled as they hurriedly ran out of the office following the Heavy Armored Warrior, leaving only one person to guard in the surveillance office.

……

“Hey, why is there no one coming yet?”

“F*ck, what’s the meaning of locking us up here? We still have to go out and kill Federation camp players to earn points.”

Just when the other players in the base were already running out grimly, the four newly-entered players locked in the room continued to create a ruckus.

The two male and two female players stayed in the room for a while and realized that there was no one bothered about them, and naturally very unhappy from not hearing any reply after shouting a few times at the door.

“What’re they up to, believe me when I say that I’ll call my cousin already…” In the room, the one who was the fiercest was the leading Gunner player.

“The surveillance has already been hacked into and altered, there’s no need to act.” Just then, a quiet voice sounded in his ear.

After the emergence of this voice, the expressions of the four people in the room instantly changed.

“Leader Feng, this action plan of yours is not bad, I really got a headache about how to sneak in. But why did you disguise us in such an ugly way, I’m really out next time.” Phoenix had a look of delight on her face, but she spoke softly with a complaining tone.

“Mm, indeed, this way has a much higher success rate than sneaking in secretly.” Onishi nodded as well; this was essentially a way of openly and daringly being welcomed in by the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group, typical players would definitely not have thought of it and even if they did, they probably would not have had the guts to use it.

“Besides sneaking in, the most troublesome part should be how to rescue the person with so many people in the base. Now that the guilds are giving us aid by luring so many people to leave, rescuing the person is definitely much easier. This point is also owing to that NPC who was able to control Tyrants whom Leader Feng Luo had sniped previously, and the relationship with the Veterans Tribe, otherwise they wouldn’t have paid such a huge price. Now, we just need them to bring out most of the players from Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group and we’d be able to reach the locked-up target with the surveillance altered.” Phoenix said smiling at Feng Luo.

“The little girl’s location is here; according to how they said it, there should only be a 10-men team guarding her. What we need to do is to think of a way…” Feng Luo said quickly, as a three-dimensional model of the secret base which Digital Cat had given to him through hacking had appeared above his Agent Wristwatch.

“There should still be one expert with a more powerful ability.” As Feng Luo said this, his eyes looked towards the female Gunner “player” in the team who had not been speaking.

“Sure, if there’s really an expert, leave it to me.” The female Gunner “player” said nodding very care-freely, understanding what Feng Luo meant.

“Great, now then, we’re left with the last question to be solved.” Feng Luo finished speaking and his eyes looked towards the locked door.

At that moment, the Earth Manipulator’s cold voice sounded. “You all have recovered? Then hurry up and join the battle with me. Feng, look outside and at all the people y’all have lured here.”
