Chapter 373: Injured Tyrant
“Skynet?”
Inside the shop being sandwiched between two attacking parties, Ion Flame looked in shock at the face which had appeared on the screen of the connected Communicator.
“Big Brother Ion, where are y’all now? Yeah! Y’all are attacked, and the zombies are the people of the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group?!”
Skynet initially had a delighted expression, but instantly changed upon hearing the close-range combat noises from the Communicator.
“F*ck, there’s both! We’re jammed up by the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group people, and it’s f*cking zombie hordes behind!”
The Heavy Armored Warrior at the side shouted as he placed his shield in front of him and violently pushed it forward, ramming a female NPC zombie out the backdoor.
“Them f*ckers have three Snipers in the shadows, since you son have nothing to do hurry up come and help! We’re at the Traveler’s Square…f*ck, careful, there’s a Licker’s tracks missing!”
“Heavy Slash!”
Guarded at the door of the shop, Frozen Red Giant howled and with a swing of the Alloy Shield in his hand with immense strength, he once again chopped off the head of a howling Normal zombie charging over!
“Splat!”
White brain juice mixed with red blood water splattered on the ground.
There was already foul-smelling zombie blood water covering the spot below his feet, which was now added onto.
“Da, da, da, da!”
“Y’all lived, that Level 50 Commander retreated?”
Dan Hen said loudly to Skynet as he fired a string of bullets, breaking the forcefield of the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group Fire Manipulator, forcing him to move back to hide at his cover.
“We lived, we’ve already finished off two Commanders, no, should be a quasi-BOSS. How sick, this brat actually Advanced with the effect of the T-Virus, we were almost wiped out!”
Skynet looked relieved at the fact that they had survived the ordeal.
“Quasi-BOSS?! Don’t you f*cker lie to me, how was your little bit of people able to kill a quasi-BOSS?”
Hearing this, the Heavy Armored Warrior yelled at the top of his lungs, at the same time bashing the head of the female NPC zombie left with only half a neck!
“Can’t tell you the details now, Leader Dan Hen, just how’s your situation now, why don’t the two of us…”
Skynet did not intend to say anymore to this Heavy Armored Warrior who did not belong to their team and yelled straight into the Communicator, but he had only spoken halfway before the person on the other end disappeared again!
“The signal is cut off halfway, I’ll need luck to connect again!”
Ion Flame looked at the Communicator with its image lost and said to Dan Hen with his forehead creased.
“Actually, I feel that we should let Skynet and the others leave, after all their team is still with three weak NPCs, if they came here to save us and died, that favor probably really wouldn’t be returnable!”
“If Old Brother Feng was together, the problem shouldn’t be big. It wouldn’t be difficult if he could just finish the Snipers on the other side with long-range and if we faced the remaining people!”
Dan Hen looked slightly doubtful but his line of sight swept across the ground in front of him and he turned grave.
On the ground in the shop, compared to before, there was one more body of a Veterans Tribe player, similarly hit in the head by a sniper bullet and had died straight with only half his HP left!
“Probably, but the problem of our connection being cut by the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group is indeed worrying…”
Ion Flame suddenly stood up, gave up on continuing his attempts to connect the Communicator, turned and activated the Energy converter in his hand!
The connection this time was due to luck; Skynet’s side unexpectedly initiating contact with them was just a problem with the signal connection, the bigger problem was being unable to receive the guild’s higher-ups’ instructions!
How was the overall power balance in the battle between the Veterans Tribe Guild alliance and the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group – this group of people was not clear about it!
However, no matter how the overall power was like, they had to at least win this small fight in front of their eyes now!
“Be careful!”
Just before Ion Flame stood up and spoke, all of a sudden, the Heavy Armored Warrior and Frozen Red Giant in front of him shouted!
“Swoop!”
A sharp wind-cutting noise as a horrifyingly high-speed flying object shot towards the back of his head!
Just then, the Licker that had previously vanished from their watch suddenly charged into the shop from the front of the hole broken in the glass.
Its four strong and sharp limbs climbed onto the ceiling, its tongue with combat power able to match up with that of a sniper bullet in its wide-open mouth shot towards Ion Flame’s head!
“Ka!”
Luckily, Ion Flame’s MP had already recovered to a certain extent. Almost at the same time as the sounding of the reminder, a red Fire Forcefield covered over him, and the Licker’s tongue was blocked by the forcefield at a distance of less than a centimeter from Ion Flame’s head!
“F*ck!”
Frozen Red Giant cursed, hurriedly raising the Alloy Sword in his hand and going up gainst the intruding Licker together with the Heavy Armored Warrior!
…
“Big Brother Feng…”
Already deep inside the hotel, Skynet whose connection had just been cut turned to face Feng Luo who was at the back of the team, with a troubled expression!
Feng Luo was actually similarly a little troubled; although he was responsible in looking-out being at the back of the team for the convenience of observing the surroundings, his hearing had actually clearly picked up the conversation Skynet had.
Dan hen and the others were now faced with two sides of enemies, the situation was bleak and needed immediate aid!
Whereas their team had now already come down from the platform; the surrounding situation seemed well, and they did not meet with any zombie hordes or people from the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group.
It was just that to him, the main mission was clearly to bring Old John the three of them out of Silvermoon City!
Because even though the entire Silvermoon City seemed like there were still noises of combat and explosions of Energy skills all over, Feng Luo felt like it was already not as serious as before.
This meant that the situation was likely to be quite predictable.
The Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group’s preparations had lasted for long, and it was a mass-announced “Epic-Grade plot” by the system, thus with the changes in Silvermoon City, the chance of players triumphing over zombies or the Veterans Tribe triumphing over the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group was probably very small!
He then definitely had to prioritize choosing to let the three NPCs get out!
But Dan Hen and the others had not only let Skynet and Ultimate Heavy Armor help him protect the three NPCs, but now they were also contained by the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group people because of wanting to provide aid to them on the platform.
Regardless of what, because of this, he could not just leave by himself.
“Let’s go together, first save Old Brother Dan Hen then leave Silvermoon City!”
Feng Luo said in a low voice after taking a deep breath.
…
When Feng Luo and the others were quickly leaving the hotel area and moving towards the Traveler’s Square not more than over 500 meters away to provide aid, lacking in Scouts and being unable to tap on Scout Beetles, plus with his mind clouded with troubling thoughts, he did not notice that a pair of eyes was staring at them for a period of time from a completely dark area of the underground carpark of this hotel building.
More than 10 seconds after Feng Luo and the others had left, a tall humanoid organism walked slowly out from the shadows!
It had a huge body of close to three-meters tall; ignoring the rotted parts on its skin, it was definitely a muscled upper body of the most perfect body-building champion, in addition to a left arm with humongous sharp fingernails the size of an entire body!
It was a “Tyrant”!
However, this Tyrant was seemingly quite seriously injured – there were bullet holes left on its body from which it was still bleeding, and its other shorter right arm had been cut off by a sharp weapon, where the part it was cut was still bleeding!
Although a Tyrant had powerful recovery, once it suffered serious injuries, it would affect its healing ability, and seeing from its body size, this Tyrant should have only been Level 30 or higher – not a high Level!
The spot on which this Tyrant was standing on was covered in blood, its grey eyes with orange eye sockets stared at the backs of Feng Luo and his people, a sense of bloodthirsty longingness flashed across its eyes!
But just a few seconds later, it withdrew its head again!
Although Tyrants were biological weapons bred by the T-Virus, they were far from those beasts of low AI and completely without judgment ability. Previously when it was injured by humanoid organisms which were originally seen as its food, it had already risen its guard against its own kind!
Especially that reddish-black sharp weapon on the waist of that last Adventurer – it had felt a very eerie “danger” from it!
“Howl!”
With a low-pitched howl, the Tyrant suddenly raised its head.
Because just then, it felt like there was some substance that had dripped onto its face. As the T-Virus’s enhancement grant gave it high tolerance towards pain, it had also given it heightened senses!
It raised its head and looked over 100 meters up the hotel, at the huge blood-dripping corpse of the dead Giant Octopus quasi-BOSS.
Its mouth slowly swallowed the substance that had dripped onto its dried-up blood-lacking lips. After which, a look of uncontainable delight flashed across the grey bloodshot eyes of this Tyrant of over Level 30.
Turning swiftly, the Tyrant dragged its right arm along and used its gigantic left arm, injured but still sturdy and full of strength, and its fully-muscled legs to rapidly leap through the gap between the platform of close to 20 meters in height, ignoring the increasing tear in its wounds.
From the irreparable rips in its Normal-Grade combat uniform on its body stained with blood which were either its own or others’, a conclusion could be made – before this Tyrant was mutated, it should have been a Gunner player of not higher than over Level 10!
