Chapter 2306 - 2307: Golden Apple

Chapter 2306: Chapter 2307: Golden Apple

Moreover, even Sumishe could sense it directly, which was enough to illustrate the astonishingly high compatibility of the individual.

"Is it someone with a high compatibility with Authority?" Sanders obviously thought of this as well and turned to look in the direction Sumishe was pointing: "That direction... seems like it’s towards the Mother Tree?"

Currently, there are three cities in the Wilderness of Dreams. Originheart City is mostly inhabited by the indigenous people of the Dream Realm, the New City is still under construction and will become the City of Wizards in the future, and the third, barely qualifying as a city, is the Dream Plant Fairies’ gathering place near the Mother Tree. These three cities are situated in three distinctly different directions.

Originally, Sanders thought it might be someone from Originheart City or the New City, but now it seems more likely to be a Dream Plant Fairy?

Can Dream Plant Fairies also bear the Authority?

While Sanders pondered silently, on the other side, Frode briefly explained the issue of Authority compatibility to Sumishe, who was surprised after hearing it: "So, someone in that direction can also bear my Membrane of Rhythm Authority?"

"You could say that."

"Why does it feel like everyone can use this Authority..." Sumishe mumbled softly and then asked, "So who could it be?"

"Since it’s towards the Mother Tree, it should be a Dream Plant Fairy?" Frode paused, "If it’s a Dream Plant Fairy, then it doesn’t matter."

Because key Authorities like the Membrane of Rhythm could never be relegated to Dream Plant Fairies.

Just like Flafiel back then, she had a high compatibility with the Authority of ’Tree Civilization,’ but as a key Authority vital to the development of the entire Wilderness of Dreams, Angel wouldn’t arbitrarily subdelegate that Authority to her.

It’s even less likely for Dream Plant Fairies.

However, not long after Frode finished speaking, Angel’s voice came through.

"It’s not the Dream Plant Fairies." Angel exited the observation of the Ability Tree and opened his eyes.

"If it’s not the Dream Plant Fairies, then who is it?"

In response to everyone’s curious gaze, Angel did not immediately provide an answer but gave a mysterious smile, "How about I take you to check it out?"

Though Angel didn’t divulge the information, from what he said, everyone sensed that the individual might be someone they were acquainted with.

"Then let’s go have a look," Rhein decisively said, and naturally, no one objected.

All their figures disappeared simultaneously, and soon they re-entered the Wilderness of Dreams. The location this time was a lush and verdant forest, far from the mist-filled wilderness.

The trees around were much taller than those usually seen, their dense leaves and branches hiding much of the sunlight. The entire forest felt gloomy and damp; beyond that, what everyone felt most was the silence.

"Though we’re still far from the Mother Tree, this direction should be the area the Mother Tree focuses on, so why can’t we see any Dream Plant Fairies?" Frode curiously turned his head; the surroundings were indeed extremely quiet, with no sign of Dream Plant Fairies.

"It is indeed a bit quiet," Rhein added.

But just as Rhein finished speaking, a sound shattered the forest’s tranquility.

The sound was faint at first, difficult to discern, so everyone followed its source. The closer they got, the clearer the sound became.

Gurgle—Gurgle—Crunch—Crunch

After walking about dozens of meters, they clearly heard the details of the sound.

"This sound, why does it seem like a beast is..." Frode hesitated for a moment, finally uttering the word stuck in his throat: "chewing food."

The "gurgle" sounded like the sticky noise of saliva, while the "crunch" was like the crisp sound of breaking something hard.

Frode’s comment seemed to remind Rhein of something, and he looked at Angel.

He noticed Angel and Sanders exchanging glances. Sanders, with the Authority to sense energy, clearly knew something and was now confirming an answer with Angel.

Angel nodded slightly and led everyone forward.

Moving past a towering tree and further in, they saw a giant mound of flesh covered with purple gauze, twisting and turning towards them.

In front of this purple mound of flesh, there was a curl of smoke rising, as if from a fire. But the mound of flesh was so massive, it blocked everyone’s view.

"What, what is this?!" Sumishe exclaimed in surprise.

Sumishe’s shout seemed to catch the attention of the mound of flesh in front. "It" slowly turned around, revealing a face that was disproportionately large.

Big wavy hair, heavily made-up, fiery red lips.

But at this moment, the lips gleamed with oil, and the corners of the mouth had a trace of glistening saliva trickling down.

"Greya!" Sumishe immediately recalled a name upon seeing this face.

This massive and flavorful "Great Demon King" of flesh was none other than "Barbie Kong" Greya!

And Sumishe realized that the purple mound of flesh he saw earlier wasn’t some alien monster, but Greya’s rear end.

Greya: "Are you... Sumishe? Huh, what brings you all here?"

Greya had been bending over, and as she spoke, she stood up, towering like a mountain of flesh, as tall as the nearby trees.

Taking advantage of Greya’s standing-up gap, everyone could see the smoking object in front of her.

It was a campfire, with a pot over it simmering an odd broth, filled with tree branches. The ’crunch’ sound they heard earlier came from the branches breaking.

Beside the pot were various seasonings and some petals.

"Greya, what are you doing?" Rhein curiously looked toward the pot.

Greya gestured to a spot next to the campfire: "Since you’re all here just in time, sit down and eat with me. I’ve just cooked a pot of soup."

Greya’s gourmet invitation was a priceless opportunity in the outside world, and they couldn’t refuse, even if they didn’t know what the soup was made of.

After sitting around the campfire, Greya briefly introduced the soup.

This soup contained various rare flowers and herbs she had collected along the way, and after determining their functions through experimentation, she brewed this herbal-flower soup.

"So it’s an herbal-flower soup, I thought it was stewing Dream Plant Fairies," Frode whispered.

Greya raised an eyebrow: "There is indeed a part of Dream Plant Fairies in it."

Under Frode’s shocked gaze, Greya slowly explained, "However, it’s the nectar, leaves, and petals I exchanged with the Dream Plant Fairies. That plate of petals you see belongs to a Dream Plant Fairy resembling a pink tomato flower."

If it was just an exchange, then that was fine... Frode breathed a sigh of relief. It wasn’t that he couldn’t accept Dream Plant Fairies being eaten; it was just that previously, a team member of the Sin Hunting Group almost killed a Dream Plant Fairy for certain reasons, causing the leader of the Dream Plant Fairies, the Vine Demoness, to send a human-formed youth to visit the Sin Hunting Group. That youth almost single-handedly led to the collapse of the Sin Hunting Group.

Fortunately, the Vine Demoness still followed the will of the Mother Tree and didn’t strike lethally; otherwise, that Sin Hunting Group might have been wiped out.

Because of such events, Frode was quite sensitive to this type of incident.

"Is this considered Witch’s Soup?" Frode curiously asked, looking at the thick, floral-scented soup in the pot.

When Greya heard "Witch’s Soup," she visibly showed a trace of disdain: "Of course not. Don’t compare that unpleasant Witch’s Soup with the potion soup I make."

Daring to bluntly say that Witch’s Soup tastes bad, it’s probably only Greya. And it could only be Greya because what she says, those Alchemists brewing Witch’s Soup dare not refute. After all, only Greya currently can balance efficacy and flavor in potion soups. And Greya adamantly refuses to admit her potion soups are Witch’s Soup.

As Greya ladled soup for everyone, she said, "Consider yourselves lucky this time."

While everyone was drinking soup, Sanders asked, "Why are you here?"

Greya rolled her eyes in exasperation: "That’s the question I should be asking you. Why are you asking me first?"

Despite saying this, Greya went on to explain why she was there.

"I came here mainly because of a request from Lianna."

Hearing this opening, especially since it involved Lianna, the few from the Barbarian Cave roughly guessed what would follow.

As expected, it did relate to the Tea Party.

As the Tea Party approached, Lianna hoped Greya could help make some delicacies. Greya had agreed swiftly because she didn’t plan on doing it herself; she intended to have Asaz handle it then.

During this time, Lianna also entrusted Greya with another task: to help find out if there were any special ingredients native to the Wilderness of Dreams. If there were, she could make some native delicacies.

Greya was quite agreeable to this suggestion as she naturally enjoyed discovering new ingredients. Even if Lianna hadn’t asked, she had recently been interacting with Dream Plant Fairies in the wild, seeking ingredients that could be cooked.

Originally, Greya didn’t need to go to the Mother Tree’s location; she just needed to search around New City. But somehow, Lianna got wind of some information: in the city of Dream Plant Fairies near the Mother Tree, there was a leader-level Treant with silver skin that had produced a miraculous Golden Apple with a sweet aroma.

Golden Apple... The moment Greya heard this, her eyes lit up, believing it must be some kind of extraordinary ingredient. As a "food hunter," she set off.

Along the way, she also kept an eye out for other usable ingredients.

With the vehicle and resources provided by Lianna, Greya both searched for ingredients and headed to the Mother Tree’s location, arriving here in just a few days.

After speaking, Greya turned to Angel: "Is that Golden Apple for real?"

Angel nodded: "There indeed is a silver-skinned Treant that produced a golden fruit. I’m not sure if it’s a Golden Apple, but even if you meet it, you might not get it."

That Treant was one Angel had personally witnessed being born, a top-level entity among Dream Plant Fairies.

Given Greya’s current prowess in the Wilderness of Dreams, Angel didn’t think she could handle that Treant.

Or rather, there were barely any in the entire Wilderness of Dreams who could deal with that Treant, let alone a Gourmet Sorcerer who wasn’t adept at combat.

Greya likely guessed some of the situation but remained optimistic: "Let’s meet it, maybe its fruit, like a snake shedding skin, is stored in multiples. I brought the resources Lianna gave me, and if I can exchange for it, I’ll give more."

With the Dream Conch, no resources are too precious.

Angel knew well that the Treant’s golden fruit was its essential nature for life advancement and wouldn’t be exchanged with Greya, but since Greya was determined to go, Angel didn’t dissuade her.

Anyways, Greya was merely looking for ingredients. Even if she didn’t get the Golden Apple, the Dream Plant Fairies near the Mother Tree were abundant and high-quality, potentially leading to some great ingredient finds.

Greya: "I’ve finished, now it’s your turn. What brings you over suddenly to find me?"

Initially, Greya thought Angel came to stop her from seeking the Golden Apple, but from the conversation, she realized Angel had no idea about this, which puzzled her.

Could it be that Toby was in trouble again? Greya dismissed the thought, figuring if it were Toby, such a group wouldn’t mobilize extensively.

Greya’s query snapped Frode, who was lost in the delicious potion soup, back to reality: yeah, they came for the person highly attuned to the Membrane of Rhythm.

Frode abruptly turned his head to Angel, silently asking: "Could it be Lady Greya?"

Angel lightly nodded.

Sanders and Rhein, upon seeing Greya, had already guessed it.

How did Greya enter True Knowledge? Through Creation Magic.

Creation Magic means creating life. Though not in the absolute sense, it’s a step away from entering the Miracle domain of spell techniques.

Even Toby was created by Greya.

So, if one were familiar with the domain of life birth, it was undoubtedly Greya.

Greya’s high alignment with the authority of the Membrane of Rhythm wasn’t surprising.

One could even say, had it been Greya inheriting the authority of the Membrane of Rhythm instead of Sumishe, she would definitely not be as inexperienced as Sumishe and might have even created life on the spot right with the authority inheritance.

That’s Greya’s talent.

At this thought, Rhein and Sanders couldn’t help but glance at Sumishe, then sigh in unison.

Though they said nothing, Sumishe vaguely... understood.

"We came here this time because..." Angel explained why they were there. To Angel, Greya was the most intimate wizard he had in the Wizards’ Realm aside from Sanders, so revealing the truth was no issue.

Upon hearing Angel’s words, Greya didn’t pay attention to anything else, focusing entirely on: "You can already create Dream Realm life with the new authority?"

Angel: "I didn’t create it; I was merely linked to..."

Before Angel could finish, Greya interrupted, eyes shining: "Then make one for me to see!"

Angel felt Greya’s gaze was somewhat strange, but after thinking it over, he still used the power of the Authority Tree to control the Membrane of Rhythm and created a few Dream Realm lifeforms.

Unsurprisingly, the ones that appeared were mushroom life forms.

As a red-spotted mushroom appeared in Angel’s hand, before Angel could introduce it, a large phantom hand flashed by. When Angel regained his senses, the mushroom was already in Greya’s palm.

And the next second.

Greya puckered her flaming red lips, revealing sharp white fangs...
