Of course, carrying out such a plan was not easy, and it was even likely that many unforeseen variables would emerge. To minimize these variables, the great Demon had racked his brain, for instance, declaring the sky a no-fly zone as one of the precautionary measures.
After hearing the whole thing, Angel was completely dumbfounded.
According to Canaan’s description, the terror of the Void shock was comparable to the full-force strike of a Demon Lord, such high-intensity area damage was capable of dealing a catastrophic blow to the Wizards above the floating ice.
In the wake of the shock, a sense of panic began to swell in Angel’s heart.
Being unaware of this cleansing plan would have been one thing, but now that he was privy to it, he felt restless.
He had the nagging feeling he should do something.
Angel didn’t care about the life and death of the Frostmoon alliance Wizards, but he couldn’t possibly ignore the safety of Sanders and Kanter. Should they encounter the Void shock, their fate was unpredictable!
“No, this cannot be allowed to happen,” Angel thought to himself, “I must find a way to pass this plan on.”
After the initial panic, Angel began to slowly calm down.
If he really had to spread the word, he at least needed a complete understanding of the plan.
Angel turned his gaze to Canaan.
After completing his previous remarks, Canaan quietly stepped aside, seemingly understanding the turmoil in Angel’s mind, allowing Angel some space to think.
“What are the prerequisites for carrying out this plan? And when is it going to be executed?”
Hearing this question, Canaan already understood the shop owner’s intentions.
“Firstly, activating the device that stabilizes Spatial Energy in reverse requires some time. Moreover, to avoid harming Lassudral, the Void shock must precisely hit the targeted location, which is the airspace where the floating ice is located, and that too needs a time of adjustment. As for the specific timing of execution, I’m not really sure, but…” Canaan looked up, gazing at the fiery sky and the drifting floating ice, “Once the plan is about to be executed, the Demons besieging the floating ice will surely retreat.”
While Canaan spoke, Angel also looked up and noticed a golden light streak across the sky, smashing towards the location of the floating ice like a meteor.
“That’s Urdixinos,” Canaan pointed out the golden light, “It’s also one of the seven seats of the Void Tower.”
A new Demon Lord had joined the battle in the sky, bringing the number of Demons besieging the floating ice to three. This greatly increased the pressure on the Wizards currently engaged in battle, but at the same time, it conveyed a message—
At least for now, it appeared that the human purification plan still needed more time before it could be executed. Otherwise, Urdixinos would not have joined the battle at this time.
Angel’s taut nerves slightly relaxed, at least he had some time.
However, sending a message to those above the floating ice was no simple matter. The sky was a no-fly zone, numerous Demons were closely watching, ready to shoot down anything that moved.
Angel started to ponder how he could transmit the message.
Despite thinking of many methods and simulating them countless times in his mind, he couldn’t find a way to break through the Demon-enforced no-fly zone.
Angel even considered Canaan as a possibility. As a part of Lassudral, perhaps it wouldn’t be shot down if it flew to the high skies? But when Angel cast a glance at Canaan, he noticed it pale in face, using some type of Water System therapy, working on the restoration of its wounds.
Canaan was still injured and, being a part of the Demon camp, it was already challenging for it to reveal such information to him, knowing he was human. To ask it to then deliver the message was somewhat beyond reason.
In secret, Angel glanced at Fafnir, who was still watching the battle in the sky with an extremely interested expression, treating it as if it were a stage play.
Expecting help from Fafnir was probably futile as well.
As Angel was still contemplating solutions, he heard Canaan whispering beside him, “Another one is coming.”
Angel looked up only to see another figure flying from somewhere on the ground up into the high sky. This figure was one Angel recognized all too well, with bony wings on his back, entirely engulfed in a black bone armor, it was Yadasai.
Yadasai too had joined the aerial battle.
“Just as I thought,” Canaan suddenly exclaimed, causing Angel to turn his gaze.
“My guess is that the Demon Lords intend to leave one to reverse the operation of the Spatial Energy stabilizer, while the others spread out everywhere to ensure Lassudral is not affected by the Void shock. After preparing these, they will fly to the floating ice to block off, their goal is to prevent humans from escaping at all costs, thus they arrange for Demon Lords one after another to join the battle, to compress the humans’ space for maneuver and eliminate variables for the final Void shock,” Canaan explained.
After finishing, Canaan cast a deep look at Angel, then pointed in the direction where the rain cloud prison was located.
“I can sense that Nitotipu is there, battling with human Wizards. Once the fight ends, Nitotipu will probably fly up to the high sky as well.”
Nitotipu is battling in the rain cloud prison? As this thought flashed through Angel’s mind, suddenly he realized what Canaan implied with his words—it was a reminder of the urgency of time.
If a message must be sent, it seems there is still a little time now. However, as the Demon Lords one by one take to the skies to compress the humans’ space, when Angel wishes to send a message, he will have to face not only the interception of other Demons but also the siege of the great Demon Lords attacking the floating ice.
Therefore, if a message truly must be sent, it must be done early. Not only because of the Demon Lords but also to give humans time to react and respond.
Yet, what infuriates Angel is that, up until now, he still has no reliable method of transmitting a message.
…
At this moment, Barfiment is locked in an even match with a Minotaur Demon that looks exactly like itself. It knows that this illusion was created by a Wizard, but it hadn’t expected the illusion’s combat prowess, tactical use, and skills to be just as strong as its own. Barfiment completely doesn’t understand how the Wizard who released the Illusionary Realm managed to do this.
“Could it also read minds?”
This thought occurred not only to Barfiment. In the Nightmare Realm within the dark tower, Minotaur was also pondering this question.
Like Barfiment, it is facing an attack from a mirror image.
The power of this mirror image surpasses Minotaur’s imagination. Most importantly, some of its unique moves that it had never used before were also known by the mirror image, and the timing chosen to deploy these moves was just right to inflict damage on it.
This was beyond the realm of mind-reading; it was as though the moment it entered this place, all of its combat thinking and methods were reflected out?
This caused Minotaur to feel astonished; could human Illusion Technique really reach such a level?
After another intense encounter with the mirror image, Minotaur transformed into black mist, retreating to the top of the dark tower. It lowered its head to gaze at its own arm, which was not only engorged and red due to the previous collision but also showed signs of corrosion.
“The feeling of physical fighting is completely real, and even the corrosion effect of the black mist is there. Is this really an illusionary mirror image?” As Minotaur observed the mirror image standing under the full moon opposite it, its expression gradually shifted from initial suspicion to surprise and excitement.
Minotaur, which holds combat as the creed of its life, has fought against humans, Demons, and Magical Creatures, and has even clashed with a nearly Demon Lord. Out of all these battles, this current fight is the most novel and thrilling it has ever experienced.
Its opponent is itself, and moreover, the opponent possesses an equally powerful physique and abundance of combat skills.
Minotaur is eager to know, what will be the result of a clash with “itself”?
With its fighting desire ignited even more fiercely, Minotaur frantically condensed its Bloodline, disregarding everything to engage in a desperate struggle with the mirror image.
The conditions within the Void Tower’s Nightmare Realm were all seen by the Wizards outside. Even though they and Sanders were on the same side, when they saw a single Illusionary Realm holding back two great Demons, and even the illusions it created were no less powerful than the Demons, they felt apprehensive.
This is the power of an Illusion Master, truly worthy of the title of War God of the Southern Domain.
Even Monty felt shocked, considering that if he faced these two great Demons, he likely wouldn’t be able to do better than Sanders.
Feeling the earth-shattering battle within the Illusionary Realm, all the Wizards upgraded their esteem for Sanders in their hearts.
However, Sanders himself was increasingly pale. Moreover, as the situation in the Nightmare Realm grew even more intense, he felt increasingly uncomfortable.
Every destruction within the Nightmare Realm took a toll on him. While it seems like an evenly matched fight inside, with the Nightmare Realm getting damaged, Sanders was in great discomfort.
In a short while, his eyes were filled with bloodshot veins, “Lord Monty, we can’t drag this on. I can last at most another minute before the Void Tower Illusion collapses.”
Monty could see that Sanders’ condition was deteriorating rapidly. At present, apart from himself, Sanders was the strongest combatant and should not be worn out here.
Thinking this, Monty frowned, “It seems we have to use that card.”
When Monty made his decision and turned back to look at the floating ice, the Frost Moon Wizards cleared the way, and eventually, a male Wizard dressed in exceedingly flamboyant attire appeared.
He is a very ordinary Rank 1 Wizard, who may be a strong high-end combatant elsewhere, but in Lassudral, he is often only referred to as cannon fodder.
But now, all the Wizards of the Frost Moon Alliance, Monty included, turned their eyes to him, giving everyone a sense that something out of the ordinary was about to unfold.
As the focus of attention, the man showed no sign of discomfort; rather, he appeared quite pleased.
He stood tall and proud, advancing towards Monty with the rhythm of a stage actor’s gait as if this place was not a battlefield but a stage.
“Oh, the honorable Lord Monty, I wonder why you have summoned me here?” With a rising and falling singsong voice and his expressive gestures, it seemed as if this were not a battlefield, but a stage.
It makes one can’t help but… want to punch him.
“Mu Ying, do you have Kundela’s creation on you?” Monty asked.
