Chapter 434: Unending Resource

Lin Feng came to his senses and opened his eyes.

His head felt like it was being skewered with needles but since it was something he could handle, he didn’t cared much.

When he was able to perceive things around him, he found himself on the soft jade bed of his master.

This brought back memories of when he first awakened in this world. It was this same bed.

He took a small breath and began checking his condition because right now he was feeling far different than before. The first thing he noticed was his soul.

The moment his perception entered inside, he saw the Eternal Dao Lotus swaying in joy. He understood its feelings directly.

Lin Feng sighed in relief as all he wanted was for the Eternal Dao Lotus to take root in his soul sea and that part had been completed flawlessly.

"I am happy to see you too..."

Lin Feng expressed his feelings with a simple thought and the Eternal Dao Lotus understood it immediately. Their condition was really unique.

Lin Feng put his attention on the place where his soul barrier was pierced by the roots and saw that the roots had totally merged into the boundary as if they were naturally a part of it.

This change must have taken some time, this meant a few days had passed since the day when he lost his consciousness.

After knowing that there was no issue with his soul, Lin Feng put his attention on his body which he was quite curious to see.

After a quick look he was a little stunned. The roots had spread across all his body wrapping around his meridians before going to his dantian and blood core.

If someone else saw his inner condition then they would immediately think that his body was taken over by something else and he was just a living corpse.

Lin Feng himself would have thought the same if he didn’t know better. These roots were so perfectly integrated into him that he could feel them like his own organs.

In fact it wouldn’t be wrong to say that they were really an extra pair of meridians.

Nevertheless, he couldn’t use them for the flow of qi as they were technically just roots of the Eternal Dao Lotus but for his body cultivation it was going to be immensely beneficial.

The Eternal Dao Lotus was nearly indestructible, at least at its peak no humans or treasures could harm it physically.

So having its roots going through his body like his meridians was basically having an indestructible armor.

This wasn’t even the best part, just like how qi cultivation was now all about comprehending Dao, body cultivation followed a similar path with a different tactic.

Body cultivators had to fuse their flesh and blood with Dao Marks. They did this by consuming resources like beasts or spirit herbs which had developed Dao Marks or by using treasures to temper themselves.

Those who cultivated both qi and body could use their own understanding of Dao to create these marks inside their body using their own qi but it didn’t mean they had it easier compared to only body cultivators as it took much more time than consuming resources.

Lin Feng on the other hand could feel that using the roots of the Eternal Dao Lotus, he could do it very easily.

Both Eternal Dao Lotus and his Dantian would advance at the same pace from now on, that meant he could use the roots themselves to create Dao Marks. Eternal Dao Lotus could grow its roots as much as it wanted so he basically had no need to search for resources.

Having an armor and an endless resource inside his body was quite reassuring for his future path. This unexpected boon was worth the pain he felt when his soul was getting pierced.

He came back to his soul and changed his perception to his nascent soul.

The small nascent soul opened its eyes and landed near the Eternal Dao Lotus before touching it.

"We are basically stuck together forever it seems..."

"I will take that as you don’t mind it..." Lin Feng smiled and instead of going back to his chaotic sphere where he usually sat, he sat beside the lotus.

It might seem a little vulnerable in case he was attacked with a soul attack but he doubted the Eternal Dao Lotus would let any harm come to him.

He changed his perception back to his body and stood up from the bed.

He really had to say that the things he was able to gain in this world were unimaginable in a sense.

Before reincarnation he had hoped that the Heavenly Fortune Scroll would send him somewhere which would be beneficial for him but never in his wildest dreams would he have thought that this world would really be a heavenly paradise for him.

He met his master who had a Pure Yin Body and this might be the best thing that ever happened to him but if he had to talk in terms of treasures then finding the Eternal Dao Lotus along with the Chaos Origin Seed was the best thing he had gotten in both of his lives.

As Lin Feng was thinking that he felt the presence of his master beside him. He shook his head while smiling as he wasn’t able to sense her moving through the void. The difference between someone who had taken the step to immortality and someone who hadn’t was a difference in the order of their state of being.

The term order was a very enigmatic concept, it was the birth of order in chaos which created worlds and realms. How it happened, no one knew.

"Finally you are awake, how does it feel?" Xuan Xue had seen inside his body so she was a little worried about his well being.

"I am perfectly fine, master, in fact I would say more than just fine..."
