Chapter 495: Chapter 495: The Second Generation Puppet.
In perfect synchronization, they performed flashy backflips and aerial spins, leaping off the branch with surprising agility.
THUD!
THUD!
THUD!
They landed gracefully in a wide circle around Purple Death, surrounding her in an instant.
And once on the ground, they all struck new, even stranger fighting stances, some with one leg raised high like cranes, others with arms crossed dramatically over their chests, and a few crouching low while pointing dramatically at her.
A heavy, awkward silence filled the air.
But soon, Purple Death snapped out of her daze and sneered.
"So you send your subordinates this time... huh?"
She turned sharply toward Shadow’s direction, only to find that the black-robed puppet had already disappeared without a trace.
’Dammit! I was getting too distracted by these strange dramatic poses!’
Nearby, the three spectators were equally stunned.
"Those white-cloaked puppets...!" Yao Xin hissed. "They’re the same ones from inside the secret realm!"
WHOOSH!
Without warning, the wooden puppets attacked.
They moved with surprising coordination and speed, launching forward from their ridiculous stances.
One puppet spun dramatically while throwing a palm strike, another leaped high with a crane kick, and several others charged in low, striking with synchronized wooden fists.
Purple Death sneered even wider, her purple eyes flashing with battle intent.
"Hmph! Come then!"
Her voluptuous half naked body moved with explosive grace as she met their assault head-on.
Her glowing purple palms clashed violently against the wooden puppets, sending resounding Bam! Bam! Bam! sounds echoing through the area.
Even while completely surronded, she fought with fierce dominance, kicking one puppet away, spinning to elbow another, and blasting a third with a wave of purple spiritual energy.
However, these wooden puppets were surprisingly durable and agile.
They recovered quickly, flipping back into their dramatic poses before attacking again in perfect sync.
Then,
The fight quickly turned into a chaotic, almost comical dance of a half naked Golden Core expert versus a troupe of overly theatrical wooden puppets.

High above, on top of the Divine Vitalis Soul Tree,
"Hmm~ Hmm~"
Little Ling hummed cheerfully as she watched her "children" fight below.
That’s right, these were the newly created group of puppets with souls that she had managed to craft on her own using the blueprint Li Feng had given her.
Seeing that Shadow had gone off to train, she suddenly had the bright idea of training her own children as well.
So she sent them down without hesitation.
However... it seemed they had read a rather strange martial arts manual that the first-generation puppets had brought back earlier.
The result was their current overly dramatic poses and theatrical fighting style.
But to Little Ling, it was incredibly entertaining.
"Hehe~ My children look so cool!" Little Lin giggled happily, "Go go! Show that Big Sister your coolest moves! Ah! Dodge!"
Just then, at the highest point of the Divine Vitalis Soul Tree, Shadow silently appeared in front of Li Feng’s wooden house.
Its sat down on the fallen-leaf bedding and became lost in thought.
Shadow skull mask was slightly lowered as its carefully reviewed and digested everything its had learned from fighting Purple Death.
Little Ling noticed Shadow immediately.
Her eyes lit up and she smiled brightly.
A gentle branch from the Divine Tree extended smoothly in front of Shadow.
She had finally met Goldie’s sibling, and after three days together, she and Shadow had gotten along quite well.
Compared to Goldie, who mostly listened in silence, Shadow seemed much more sociable.
At least Shadow would reply when spoken to.
"Hehe~ Shadow~ Did you finish training with Big Sister Purple?" Little Ling asked sweetly. "My children are also training with her right now! They look so cool, right?"
Shadow slowly raised its head.
After a short pause, its nodded and communicated with her.
"Ehehe~ Then you should rest here! I’ll go back and watch the fight. My children are very hardworking today~"
With that, the little branch waved cheerfully as Little Ling returned to her spot with a better view of the ongoing fight.
Shadow remained seated on the fallen-leaf bedding in silence.
Once Little Ling left, its lowered its head again and continued sinking deep into thought.
The black energy around its body slowly circulated as Shadow meticulously analyzed every movement, every technique, and every habit Purple Death had displayed during their fight.
The distant sounds of battle, Purple Death’s angry shouts mixed with the constant Bam! Bam! of wooden puppets being sent flying echoed up to the top of the tree.
But Shadow paid them no mind.
Its sat completely still, like a silent statue, lost in its own world of martial comprehension.

Meanwhile, inside the Imperial Court.
The morning court session officially began.
The officials presented their reports one by one, from grain harvests in the southern provinces, to the latest movements of the demonic sects on the border, and the progress of the investigation the Empress had ordered.
Li Feng listened quietly throughout the session.
Then, toward the end, the Regent Empress Fen Ling finally spoke something that he found interesting.
Her voice was clear, dignified, and carried the undeniable weight of authority.
"Regarding the recent infiltration and the unrest within the Imperial Palace... This Empress has made a decision."
The entire hall fell silent.
Empress Fen Ling continued, her crimson eyes sweeping across the officials,
"I hereby order the immediate evacuation of the Crown Prince and the other princes and princesses currently in the capital."
"Additionally, all princes and princesses currently outside the capital are to be instructed not to return for the time being. The situation inside the palace is no longer safe."
At those words, a wave of shock rippled through the court.
Many officials exchanged stunned glances.
They had already moved the royal heirs out of the palace and into the capital, but now it seemed they were to leave the capital entirely.
Evacuating the royal heirs was an extremely serious move... it signaled that the Empress believed the threat inside the palace ran very deep.
One of the loyal ministers stepped forward, bowing deeply.
"Your Majesty... is the situation truly that dire?"
Empress Fen Ling’s expression remained firm.
"It is necessary, we cannot afford to lose any members of the imperial bloodline. This matter is not up for discussion."
Her gaze then shifted briefly toward Li Feng, lingering for a moment before she looked away.
Li Feng, who had been listening with narrowed eyes, felt a flicker of interest.
After all, he hadn’t seen any princes or princesses during his short time here.
’So they were staying somewhere inside the capital city and not in the palace, huh.’
