Physician’s Odyssey

Chapter 588 - Insta-killed

Kelov got to know Andre ten years ago. Back then, he was an ordinary doctor in a hospital in Moscow. After all, as a doctor, it's hard to earn big money without ample experience. Hence, not only was Kelov an ordinary doctor in the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, but he also ran around several smaller-scaled hospitals to earn some quick cash. This was a common situation around the globe and not just China.

One particular night, just when Kelov was about to leave, he encountered Andre, who was covered in blood.

At that time, despite Andre's injuries, it was easy for him to handle a weak doctor like Kelov. Under Andre's threat, Kelov was forced to treat the former. But shockingly, Andre refused anaesthetics so that he wouldn't lose his consciousness during the surgery, nor did he show any fear of pain.

Hence, Andre was akin to an emissary from hell in Kelov's heart.

Afterwhich, Andre interrogated Kelov for his house since he found the latter's medical skills pretty good. As the years went by, Kelov became Andre's free doctor. Andre would be heavily injured whenever he appeared, and there were even several times Kelov felt that Andre was going to die. However, Andre still managed to hold onto his life.

Although this relationship continued for years, Kelov's situation wasn't like a drama with him forming a friendship with Andre. On the contrary, Andre was a painful memory for Kelov. There were several times that Kelov wanted to retaliate and even hired bodyguards, but his bodyguards were all played around with by Andre. It was so much so that the latter even threatened him with his wife.

This was also the reason why Kelov thought of Andre when he wanted to kill Su Tao. He could get this fugitive to get rid of Su Tao. After all, Andre was more ferocious than his bodyguards.

Then again, Kelov also had his own thoughts. If Andre failed, then he would have one less threat.

This was a plan that killed two birds with one stone. Regardless of success or failure, it's inevitable that he would be the ultimate winner.

As for money, Kelov had plenty of that. Anything that could be resolved with money wasn't a problem for him.

Taking a photo from Kelov, Andre frowned. "This is a Chinese?"

"This is not any ordinary Chinese. He was just in the news as a victim of assassination." Kelov knew that Andre wouldn't pay attention to such things and immediately explained, "Hence, he will definitely be guarded right now. That also means that it won't be easy for you to get the job done."

With a grin, Andre took two breaths as sparks flew from the cigar.

"I like things that are difficult!" Andre heavily patted Kelov's shoulder, which nearly shattered the fragile doctor's bones.

"However, you have to pay me ‎₽3,000,000 when the job's done."

"That's a deal!" Kelov agreed without any hesitation.

Hearing how Kelov straightforwardly agreed, Andre's eyes flashed with regret since he seemed to have given a low price earlier.

Then again, Andre didn't hold money with much importance. For him, money was extravagant. According to his wasteful ways of spending money, ‎there's no difference between ₽4,000,000 or ₽10,000,000. At best, it would only last him a little longer in the casino.

"Wait for my news!" Andre threw the cigar on the floor and stepped on it with his foot.

When the motorbike echoed from the depths of the forest, Kelov instantly realised that Andre had long arrived, and the latter had been observing him for a long time to determine that there's no danger before showing up.

This was the behaviour of an experienced hunter.

After figuring it all out, Kelov's mood became much better. It was so much so that he even hummed his favourite tune and boarded his vehicle.

All of a sudden, his phone rang, which frightened him.

Picking up the call, Kelov asked, "Gregory, what's wrong?"

"I'm calling you to inform you that you're not required for the time being with regards to Mr. Stefan." Gregory's voice was calm, as if he was speaking about something insignificant. He figured that perhaps in this manner, he would be able to offset the anger in Kelov's heart.

"Furthermore, I've just transferred a total of ₽5,000,000 to your account. This is Mr. Stefan's gratitude for helping him."

"Oh, I see! Thanks for that, and thank Mr. Stefan for me." Kelov replied as his heart was burning with rage. He knew that the incident in the gymnastics stadium had caused Stefan to doubt him.

It was all because of Su Tao!

As such, he no longer felt any guilt for dealing with Su Tao.

Driving to the nearest ATM, he went to check his account. After verifying that Gregory did not go back on his word, he instantly felt much better in his heart.

Truth be told, he was still in the initial research phase of Stefan's condition and did not have any substantial treatment yet. The green tablet was a nervous system medicine for temporary measures. It cannot be used to suppress Stefan's condition entirely, and it was meant to give himself more time.

He never expected that the medicine that only cost a few hundred bucks in America would bring him a profit of ₽5,000,000. A smile rose on his lips. He knew that this was because Stefan was worried that he might expose the latter's illness.

This was the benefit of being a doctor. So what if you have authority and money? When your health was in the hands of a doctor, you wouldn't even frown if they wanted to extract your blood.

He would naturally keep Stefan's condition a secret, but under the prerequisite that no one comes to offer him more money.

For a doctor without any morals, he would naturally not feel guilty about selling out his patient's privacy.

After having his meal in a Mongolia restaurant, Andre patted on his bloated stomach and left after leaving money behind. The boss, who initially thought that Andre would eat without paying again suddenly felt uneasy. After all, whenever Andre did this, it meant that he's going for a job. The boss knew that Andre wasn't a good person, and the latter had been in prison numerous times. But for some reason, Andre would always be released. Hence, he figured that Andre must have someone backing him.

After that, Andre found his way to Su Tao's hospital according to the address. When the nurse saw someone unfamiliar, she went up to enquire, to which Andre glared at her. Although the nurse was terrified, she still gave a call to the security guards and informed them that there's a suspicious person around.

The security guards also swiftly reacted and blocked Andre's path before the latter even made it into Su Tao's ward.

When Andre continued walking forth, one of the security guards charged over, to which he threw a jab over and easily left the security guard on the ground. The security guards never experienced someone so ferocious in the past, to which they immediately drew out their batons.

When Andre finally found the ward, he did not knock on the door but directly barged in. He saw two people in the room when he looked around. One of them was a Chinese lady, while the other was Su Tao, dressed in patient clothes.

Looking at Andre in astonishment, Su Tao sighed. Andre looked way too buffed!

He had no idea how Andre trained; the latter was comparable to Arnold Schwarzenegger from The Terminator. His muscles were all bulged up with explosive power.

However, the shock only lasted for an instant before it was replaced with pity.

Although there's a language barrier, Andre felt his target looking at him in pity.

Letting out a snort, Andre immediately charged at Su Tao, brandishing his fist at the latter's head. The enormous force behind that fist even swept up a gale as it flew in Su Tao's direction.

But all of a sudden, Andre felt a sharp pain. That Chinese lady was somehow standing beside him and had stabbed her knife hand into his body. Generally speaking, with the strength of his muscles, not even knives could damage his bones, let alone a hand. However, that knife hand from that lady actually pushed him back with a crack resounding from his body. His bone seems to have fractured.

The pity in Su Tao's eyes came from the bottom of his heart as he felt pity for the foolish assassin.

Yuan Lan was currently present, and it'd be surprising if this bear-like man could kill him without any weapons.

Andre was an extremely overbearing man, but it was a pity that he was too overconfident.

Su Tao was focusing on Yuan Lan's movements. Her attacks and agility were simple, as if she had returned to nature.

This was something that he felt from Yan Wujin, and seeing how Yuan Lan displayed it in another manner, it undoubtedly gave Su Tao more insight.

Since ancient times, China's martial arts were meant to kill. Back then, people trained to either go on war or roam around, practising with the objective of harming others. But during the current era with firearms, martial arts no longer seemed to be effective. Nowadays, it was mostly used as a performance, so many movements were beautified.

Regardless of Yan Wujin or Yuan Lan, there weren't any unnecessary movements in their attacks. They did not focus on the flow but aimed to kill without exhausting much of their energy.

Although Andre was buff, his crotch, eyes, ears, and ribs are all his weaknesses. They were all breakthroughs in Yuan Lan's eyes, which he soon lost his fighting capability.

Andre, who initially wanted to make some money, was defeated by a woman and he lost his consciousness on the ground. Even he had no idea how he was defeated!
