My Cyber Psychosis is Task Prompt

Chapter 110: Deep Within the Server Room

The red lights of the Big Ghost Mecha illuminated the cockpit.

Its alloyed heavy fist came crashing down, directly blasting apart the engine hood.

The glass in front of John shattered and scattered.

The whole car lightly bounced on the ground and then settled down.

The main shaft of the steering wheel was torn off, and a metal pin scraped across his chest, slicing from John's ribs downwards, tearing through clothes and skin.

He threw the steering wheel out of the twisted windshield frame, watching it bounce off the metal surface, trying to escape, only to find the entire main driver's seat had severely deformed.

The mechanical engine restarted.

The Big Ghost Mecha gripped the steel plate fittings; every finger was a sharp, hard hydraulic alloy, violently disassembling the vehicle, even stomping on the engine hood to tear off the car roof...

By this time, John had crawled to the back seat.

He turned around, back against the seat, laying on his back as he fired, the magazine of his standard smart rifle grazing the iron surface.

[Chest Armor B-area: 14%]

The weak point analysis program was still working.

But the electromagnetic bullets could only leave shallow marks, unable to penetrate Big Ghost's armor in a short time.

The Big Ghost's right arm had a secondary cannon barrel, already aiming into the car.

"F*ck squid! Ah—"

John shouted angrily, nearly breaking the trigger, the blue-yellow gun flame illuminating his slightly constricting pupils.

Bang!

[Right Limb C-area: [Shattered]]

The Big Ghost's shoulder spat sparks, the entire right arm sagging, bullets misfiring and shattering the interior seats.

Click, click, click.

John's magazine emptied, his heartbeat racing.

The Big Ghost locked on target again, unable to raise its hand as the side knob exploded.

Bang!

Paused for just about a second.

Bang!

A sharper sound came from the Power Armor's back.

John finally realized that the successive interruptions were due to someone precisely hitting critical weak points from afar.

Bang——

The Big Ghost's neck twisted viciously to the side.

The stacked armor at its shoulder-neck joint was pierced, exposing internal circuits and hydraulic hoses, several electric arcs shooting out.

The sound of brakes came from afar.

Various vehicles brought gunmen from the Damascus Camp charging in.

The Big Ghost, unwilling, fled from the hail of bullets.

Bang——

Tawny tracers streaked through the air.

John finally saw clearly:

Alonna had climbed over the collapsed building debris, lying atop the ruins, with the Suresh Company's "Meteorite" kinetic sniper firmly positioned.

Bang——

Alonna's cobalt-blue cybernetic eye flickered, her line of sight extended hundreds of meters forward, locking onto the red frame on Big Ghost's body.

When she pulled the trigger, an arc of dust whipped up.

High-penetration bullet sliced through the air.

Big Ghost was struck before barging into the underground passage, its arm carrying the giant cannon barrel sheared right off.

It clumsily burrowed underground.

[Mission Objective Update]

[Penetrate the main engine room. (Unachieved)]

Damascus Camp members drove into the square, forced by the terrain's subsidence and cracks over forty centimeters in diameter to halt and proceed on foot at a distance.

Containers were stacked one upon another.

Here and there, cranes and forklifts were parked, some door panels ajar, others pressed, cracked, and deformed.

Inside were scattered spoils of war.

With Damascus Camp in chaos, they hesitated whether to pursue into unknown terrains or stay in place.

Nando retreated heavily injured to the rear.

There was no one left on scene to make decisions.

Tatatata——

Gunfire and curses shattered the pause.

Sparse sounds emerged from the shadows, countless Exile Butchers leaping from all sides of the containers, activating Sianweistan, wielding Mantis Blades and various melee weapons, to attack.

Camp members clustered together, covering each other.

Bullets spat sparks against containers, the surrounding iron-shell barriers and indistinct terrain forming a labyrinth-like scene.

As the flares' effects waned.

The ammunition truck meant to light up the area was also destroyed, leaving only the cyber eye's night vision function to aid in combat.

John raised his gun to shoot, occasionally pulling out the Butterfly Knife for combat.

Igdrasir, coupled with powerful muscular bundles, could execute moves more extreme than before, easily killing opponents whether in melee or joint techniques.

Sizzle——

John slit a thug's throat with the Butterfly Knife.

Electric sparks sprayed out, scattering on the ground.

The corpse continued twitching due to signal delay after collapsing.

Scan results showed those hiding here were heavily cybernetically enhanced semi-mechanical bodies.

"God, you must be joking."

"Damn crazy mechanical guys, brains fried, biting everywhere like dogs."

"No wonder they're locked in tin cans, can't tell friend from foe."

...

A group of camp members gathered around John.

He sheathed his Butterfly Knife, noticing a fleeting figure in the distance—Alonna, abandoning her sniper rifle at some point, holding a rifle and advancing towards the far entrance of the underground passage.

"Hey, wait a minute."

John vaulted over the severed mechanical arm, chasing far ahead until finally catching up and calling out to her.

"This is too dangerous."

He knew this woman tended to get carried away with killing.

Alonna offered her assessment. "It's the best chance now, if we delay, and the pilot switches to another device, what if another dangerous tin can pops out?"

She glanced into the depths of the facility.

"The inside is narrow, there's a bigger chance."

John could hear an extraordinary determination in her tone, and after a silent, brief gaze, they looked down to check their equipment.

[Silver Port - Tiebang Logistics Server Ruins]

The building stood adjacent to the horizontal plane.

The passageway rose four to five meters high, the ground beneath muddy, with lighting equipment scattered intermittently.

Wires of varying thickness stretched and bent along the base.
