I Only Marry Widows

Chapter 91: Jade-faced Young Master

Lu Chengfeng looked at Li Mo kneeling before him, suddenly turned around, mounted his horse, and grabbed his knife.

"Senior Brother!"

Li Mo abruptly placed the knife against his neck, the blade pressed down, blood oozing out, "I beg you, please don't!"

Even though Lu Chengfeng didn't say a word, Li Mo knew his senior brother too well. Lu Chengfeng's actions clearly indicated he had killing intent, wanting to personally catch up with the carriage to kill all those women.

Lu Chengfeng, sitting on the horse, looked at him coldly, "If you delay any longer, everyone will die. I'm not an Immortal; I can't save them."

Buzz!

In the pitch-black night, a flash of cold light suddenly streaked by, so fast that Li Mo didn't even have time to react before feeling a pain at the back of his head, vision going black, and collapsing to the ground.

Lu Chengfeng slowly withdrew his knife, "Junior Brother, this world is already corrupt beyond redemption…"

He murmured quietly, lowered his gaze, lifted Li Mo in one motion, laid him across the horse, and galloped forward with a dual ride.

Upon hearing approaching hoofbeats, the old woman driving the carriage initially trembled with fear but relaxed upon seeing that it was Lu Chengfeng, a surprised and delighted look on her face.

"Hero, the night is dark and the wind is high, would you care to travel together?"

Buzz!

As her voice still echoed in the night, her head was already flying in the air, blood splattered across the carriage.

Lu Chengfeng vaulted with precision onto the carriage and then, knife in hand, bent down and went inside.

In just a few short breaths, he emerged from the carriage cradling a baby, with a large pool of blood pouring out from the inside.

Mounting the horse, at the intersection, he slung Li Mo over his back, cradled the baby, and with the point of his knife, fiercely stabbed the rumps of two horses, sending them running in opposite directions.

Glancing back at the night sky, Lu Chengfeng dashed into the forest, quickly disappearing from sight.

...

Handsome Yama pursued relentlessly with his Lightweight Technique, finally catching up to the carriage, but before he could approach, he caught a strong scent of blood in the wind.

He frowned, his toes lightly tapping, as if walking on wind, his figure swift, quickly catching up. He took a breath, vaulted, and leaped into the carriage.

Upon entering, he found the carriage full of corpses.

He carefully examined every body, discovering that all of them had their lifelines snapped with a single palm strike, dead on the spot.

As these dead women were all defenseless, the murderer didn't even use Martial Arts, merely delivering a casual palm strike to end their lives.

"Such ruthless actions, it's either the Underworld or those old foxes from the renowned and righteous sect…"

Handsome Yama knew well; the so-called righteous sects merely presented a prettier facade, but in essence, they all sought to plunder the people's resources and wealth.

Having witnessed the scene before him, he could already confirm that the Dong Family Escort Agency had nothing to do with this; it must involve another party.

With a flicker in his eyes, he simply sat in the driver's seat, turned the carriage around, and headed towards Three Immortals Mountain.

...

When Li Mo woke up, he found a baby wrapped in swaddling beside him, his heart trembled slightly. Looking up, he saw Lu Chengfeng standing on a cliff.

It was almost dawn, the summit winds were strong, and Lu Chengfeng's hair and robe fluttered wildly in the wind, an inexplicable sense of desolation and loneliness.

Li Mo looked at the tightly wrapped baby placed in a small stone nook to shield from the wind, and then got up from the ground, cradling the little one in his arms.

Perhaps tired from crying, though his eyes still bore tear stains, the little one was now sleeping deeply.

He seemed lost, dazedly standing for a long while before stumbling to Lu Chengfeng's back, kneeling with the child and kowtowing three times.

"Senior Brother, I'm leaving."

Li Mo stood up, speaking in a low tone.

"Where to?" Lu Chengfeng didn't turn around.

"To the south, I've heard King Han is recruiting talents from all over, cherishing the people as his own, and Han State has grown prosperous these years, boasting thirty thousand soldiers, and thriving national power. I want to take a look." Li Mo bowed his head.

"Must you?" Lu Chengfeng asked.

Li Mo didn't answer, just gradually walked away with the baby, "I just don't want, one day, to draw my sword against you, Senior Brother."

...

Lu Chengfeng closed his eyes, standing motionless like a statue on that small cliff for an entire day and night.

When the sun once again rose in front of him, he slowly stretched out his hands, feeling them stained with blood.

"I… am not wrong…"

He said hoarsely, seeming as if explaining to someone, or perhaps to himself.

...

A month later, one of the Twelve Leaders outside Three Immortals Mountain, the Jade-faced Young Master, returned from a raid, bringing back a beauty, and that night invited the brothers of the stronghold for drinks, and consummated his marriage.

By midnight, a few drunks were still competing in the front hall, most were heavily intoxicated, and in the bridal chamber, the beautiful woman was tied hand and foot, continuously weeping.

"Hahaha, beauty, from today onwards, you are my fifth concubine. Serve me well, and I guarantee you'll enjoy endless feasts, silks, and satins." He spoke while leering, heading towards the woman on the bed.

Dong! Dong! Dong!

Just then, a series of knocks came from the door. The Jade-faced Young Master cursed without turning his head, "Which bastard doesn't know I'm spending my wedding night? Get lost."
