Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 132: Blue Star's Secrets The Seal (1)

Grey entered the pagoda without pausing in his track. The door to the pagoda was open, but nothing inside could be seen, it was like there was a barrier of sorts preventing anyone outside from seeing what was within.

Entering the pagoda, Grey immediately felt his vision go blank. Everything turned pitch black for a moment. He tried to move, and he could hear the footsteps from his steps, but he did not know what direction he was walking in.

He attempted to utilize mind perception, yet even that refused to work.

His mind perception was not working here.

Grey's expression turned strange. He turned around, but there was nothing for him to see, everywhere he faced was pitch black.

"Am I trapped?" Grey's mouth twitched involuntarily.

"Great, now I get to explore this pitch black space with no direction. How fun." Grey rolled his eyes.

Uncertain things like these were what Grey hated the most. He honestly wanted to punch his way out, but what exactly was he supposed to punch? The air?

His mind perception was jammed. He even tried utilizing the appraisal skill to find something related to this, but nothing appeared, the pagoda was not classified as an item after all.

"Hmm, looks like I need to upgrade my appraisal skill even more." Grey was thoughtful.

If the appraisal skill could extract information from an item, why could it not extract information related to a place?

He definitely needed to upgrade it.

But not now. He did not know what lurked in this darkness. If he stopped being cautious and let his consciousness descend into the information layer for the purpose of upgrading the skill, he might just get stabbed from behind for all he cared.

He might be dumb, but he was not that dumb to completely expose his back to something unexpected like this.

"Hey comprehension ability, do something." Grey said with a deadpan look on his face. "Comprehend something about this darkness. Isn't it clear that this darkness is not normal?"

"...".

Of course, no reply came. The ability he possessed was not a separate existence nor did it have a separate will or consciousness. There was no way it would respond to Grey when the ability was directly inside his mind.

Unless Grey himself perceived something about this darkness, the comprehension would not activate. Just like the hidden formations, the true form of this darkness was concealed.

Grey stretched out his hand and snapped his fingers. Immediately, a magic circle with intricate complex patterns formed above his fingertips. Sparks burst from his fingers and an orange flame appeared, flickering with life.

Then, it began to change colors, shifting from white, orange, green, yellow, pink, purple, red, and so on. It skipped through the colors like a disco ball inside a nightclub.

Yes, Grey could manipulate fire. He had been capable of doing so for a while now.

It would be more bizarre if he could not when his own disciple and his business partner, who was unusually clingy toward him, both had abilities related to fire.

Especially Valeria. She possessed a special heavenly physique, each time they met he would gain insight from her, and that was how this ability to manipulate fire was born.

It was a spell, to be more accurate.

Spells were, in essence, similar to formations. They drew upon the power of a specific law to reinforce the law's strength or to allow non law users to wield it.

The spell was called the Heavenly Fire Spell, directly derived from Valeria's True Heavenly Sun Physique. It allowed him to utilize the heavenly fire freely. The heavenly fire was something only Valeria possessed, but he could use it too.

Instead of relying on law comprehension, he powered it with his own energy. The fire output of the spell depended on his energy level. This meant he could use law related powers even without fully comprehending the law itself, as long as he had enough comprehension to form spells and abilities from it.

His comprehension was simply that broken.

Of course, the spell had its downsides. For example, if someone with the actual Law of Heavenly Fire utilized law suppression or unleashed their law, his ability would lose its effect. But he did not need to worry about that.

Only Valeria possessed it on Blue Star, that much was certain.

Besides, he did not really need the spell. He had his own heavenly tribulation ability. Why would he use the spell when he had his own?

That was also the reason he had not bothered using it until now. He never had the chance or need to use it.

Well, until today.

The disco ball of fire was the true form of the heavenly fire. It held every color within it, representing that it was the fire of all fires, the ultimate flame. Grey could change its color if he wished.

Sticking to one color was definitely possible.

And for this occasion, a bright white flame was needed.

Invoking the spell once more, the disco ball of fire turned bright white. It burned with sharp brilliance, its light spreading across the darkness.

However, even with the white flame illuminating the surroundings, the darkness did not disperse. It was still there, swallowing everything, leaving nothing in sight. The white flames did absolutely nothing.

"Well, I tried." Grey said with a sigh.

With no other option, he could only make the fire burn brighter, or perhaps he should unleash all his powers, that should definitely be able to get him out.

"Yeah, there is no time wasted being trapped in the darkness." Grey dispersed the white flame.

With the plan of illuminating the place with flame failing, there was only one option left.

Wreck havoc.

Unleash all his powers.

Following that, lightning cracked around Grey. He was ready to unleash all his law power and energy, spreading it out everywhere evenly to try and find an exit.

But then something shifted. The air around him turned colder abruptly, and following that, pink light, which was none other than realmheart energy, began to light up one by one across the pagoda, illuminating the space, the darkness was now fading.

Grey felt it clearly. A special power had descended into the dark space.

Following that, an ancient hoarse voice boomed.

"FUTURE GENERATION BEWARE! DO NOT LEAVE THE BLUE STAR!"
