Li Si, however, merely gave a slight nod as her greeting.

"Miss Li, it's a greater pleasure to meet you in person than to just hear your name. You're even more beautiful than you look on TV," Tao Jinshui said without preamble, raising his glass. "Here, a toast to you."

"I'm sorry, I don't..."

Just as Li Si was about to refuse, Yang Chun pinched her thigh hard and whispered a harsh warning, "Drop that cold act right now. You'd better make sure they have a good time drinking tonight, or you'll regret it!"

Li Si winced in pain, her brow furrowed as she glared angrily at Yang Chun.

"What, you don't understand me?" Tao Jinshui's tone grew hard, his eyes darkening like two cold blades that could pierce a person's Divine Spirit.

In an instant, a chill ran down Yang Chun's spine, and her face turned deathly pale.

HUFF. HUFF.

Taking a deep breath, Yang Chun stood up. "I actually have some other business to attend to, so please, enjoy your drinks. I'll take my leave now."

"Be smart about it, otherwise you'll be the one who suffers," Yang Chun cautioned Li Si in a low voice before leaving the private room.

Tao Jinshui watched her go, then turned back to Li Si with interest. "Miss Li, from your reaction just now, it seemed you had no intention of drinking with me?"

"I, Tao, rarely toast anyone. I was in the mood today, but you refused to show me any courtesy?" As he spoke, Tao Jinshui's expression grew grim. "Let's start with a penalty of three glasses. Finish these three, and then we can continue with our meal."

Zou Wendong said nothing, simply swirling the wine in his glass with a smirk on his face.
