Lucifer: Godless Reawakening

Chapter 93: One shot

[In the surveillance room]

Everyone watched the screen in silence as William handled Anna with almost careless ease. Her clone technique—her greatest trick—didn't even make him blink. He ignored the fake completely and went straight for the real her.

It… wasn't a fight. Not even close.

Galahad's shoulders slumped in disappointment.

"Telekinesis… and such clean control," Mordred muttered, genuinely impressed.

"That girl was foolish to think a telepath wouldn't see through a clone," Guinevere scoffed, her voice as sharp as ever.

Galahad sighed. "She's good at deception, yes. But one-on-one? She needs work."

Lancelot didn't comment. He had expected this outcome the moment Anna stepped into the arena.

But the next match—this one might be different.

"Your one minute starts now, Lancelot~" Guinevere teased as Lextor stepped forward, his gaze locked on William.

Lancelot only smiled, watching calmly.

If William didn't hold back, this would be over long before a minute passed.

*DOOOOM*

Lextor's fist slammed forward—only to crash into an invisible barrier. The impact echoed across the arena, but William didn't budge an inch.

Lextor's eyes narrowed.

His punches could shatter stone pillars, yet this boy stood like a wall.

*I need to take this seriously.*

Without hesitation, he leaped back, shot into the air, and fired a barrage of compressed shockwaves with rapid punches.

"CALAMITY FIST!!"

William grinned. With a stomp that cracked the floor, he raised a massive slab of marble straight up like a shield.

**DOOOM**

**DOOOOM**

**DOOOOM**

Each shockwave slammed into the marble, tearing chunks off it piece by piece.

Lextor landed with a snarl.

If William hadn't reinforced that slab, it would've broken from the very first strike.

But he didn't get time to think—because the broken pieces of the shield suddenly shot back at him like a storm of flying debris.

Lextor inhaled sharply and thrust his palm forward.

"FLAMING CLAW!"

A blast of force burst from his hand, crushing the tiles mid-air—

But it was only meant to distract him.

"Yuhu~"

William's whisper came from behind him.

Before Lextor could even blink, William's arms wrapped around his waist. His feet left the ground—and then—

*CRACK!*

His head hit the floor in a clean, perfect suplex.

William hopped back with a bright grin. "Man, I've been dying to try that one!"

Emma facepalmed. "You learned that just by seeing it once?"

She had used that move on him during one of their spars…

And he had copied it almost perfectly.

Lextor exhaled hard, dust rolling off his shoulders as he stood.

"Is this the best you can do?" he asked coldly.

There wasn't a single mark on him.

The suplex had shattered the ground—yet his body remained untouched, as if the impact meant nothing.

William only grinned wider.

"How about this—you show me your strongest move, and then I'll finish things up?"

Lextor froze.

A muscle twitched in his jaw, and a thick vein pulsed on his forehead.

"So in your eyes," he said slowly, voice deepening with anger, "the battle is already decided? And you're just… having fun?"

William shrugged casually.

"There aren't many people who can resist my telekinesis. And sadly, you're not one of them. I could end this anytime."

He wasn't lying.

Yesterday's golem had been tough—William couldn't grab it with his telekinesis, which stretched the fight out.

But Lextor?

His aura was strong, yes… but not strong enough to stop William from crushing him with a thought.

And Lextor understood that.

He felt it.

And it ignited something dangerous inside him.

His muscles tightened, swelling under his skin.

His aura snapped like a whip, sending a hot wave through the room.

Heat rolled off him in pulses—heavy, suffocating.

*Kriik*

His shirt tore open along the seams as his body shook in pure, unfiltered rage. His eyes locked onto William with nothing but killing intent, sharp enough to cut the air itself.

Emma's smile slowly faded as she stared at the boy.

This wasn't a duel anymore.

Not a spar.

Not a test.

Lextor wasn't aiming to win.

He was aiming to kill.

Lextor's rage peaked—then he vanished.

One heartbeat he was standing still, the next he was already in front of William.

"RAGING COMET STRIKE!!"

His fist came down like a falling star.

BOOOOM—!

The floor split open under the force, cracks shooting out in every direction. Dust exploded upward—

—but William had already slipped past him.

Lextor spun, teeth clenched, and launched another attack.

"SHATTERING FANG!"

His elbow cut through the air, sharp enough to tear the tiles apart.

CRACK—!

A chunk of the arena wall blew out, but William bent back just slightly, letting the strike pass inches from his nose.

It should have hit.

Anyone watching thought it would.

But at the last moment, he wasn't there.

Lextor roared, aura exploding again as he lunged.

"DEVOURING IMPACT!!"

His kick tore through the ground, sending a wave of broken stone flying—

And William slid along that wave, stepping lightly between each burst of debris, untouched.

The spectators leaned forward, breath held.

Each of Lextor's blows landed with enough power to break bone, crack walls, shake the entire arena.

And every time—

every single time—

William dodged by just a hair.

A tilt of the head.

A shift of his shoulder.

A single step to the side.

Attacks meant to kill him missed by centimeters, so close the shockwaves brushed his hair, blew dust off his clothes, and shook the tiles at his feet.

"DAMN YOU!" Lextor bellowed, swinging down with both fists.

"QUAKING HAMMER!!"

The entire floor erupted—

DOOOOOOM—!!

But William was on Lextor's left in the blink of an eye, hands in his pockets, looking almost bored.

Lextor's breathing grew harsher, sweat mixing with the dust on his skin as he unleashed another strike, then another, then another—

Each one a technique strong enough to injure seasoned warriors.

Each one tearing the arena apart.

Each one aimed to kill.

Clasping his hands together, he brought it down like a hammer, aimed at his head, "STOP RUNNING!"

**DOOOOOM**

And it landed.

For the first time, it felt like he landed the attack.

Dust erupted, the floor cracked.

William stood there, his forearm taking all the damage, his sleeve ripped and his arm quivering.

"Here, I stopped."

Lextor's breath was caught in his throat as William swatted his hands away and extended his index finger against Lextor's chest,

"Now, bye-bye."

**BOOOOOOM**

They heard an explosion.

The fortified doors of the hall erupted as Lextor was thrown out with that attack.

The whole hall shook because of the attack as William stood there, the tip of his index finger charred.

Emma sighed as she asked, "I hope you didn't kill him…well, it won't matter much."

William grinned, "Don't worry. I held back this time."

The duo then stood face to face.

There was an exit available for William to escape.

But….was he going to escape?
