Ivette, remembering her husband and looking at her sister, who until today was considered dead, began to feel some bewilderment. A question popped into her head:
"Is Adrian really dead?"
"If he has already managed to arrange someone's death, then he could easily stage his own, especially considering such a opportunity as a catastrophe," she thought.
"Sister," Ivette turned to Inessa, "Is Adrian really dead?"
Inessa was surprised, but remembering everything she had told her sister, she immediately understood what she was thinking.
"Yes, Sister, Adrian really died that day," Inessa said confidently. "I saw him die myself, and I buried him."
Ivette frowned and wanted to add, "I also saw your corpse and buried you, but you're sitting here as if nothing had happened," but she restrained herself.
Unlike Inessa, she hadn't even seen her husband's corpse.
"Sister, don't doubt it, Adrian really died that day," Inessa said, seeing that her sister was still unsure. She could understand her doubts, because at first she herself could not believe in Adrian's death.
However, over time, Inessa realized that he had indeed left this world.
"After his death, Ina and I moved to Zesta, where we live to this day," Inessa finished her story after a short pause.
Ivette was silent for a long time, considering her sister's words. Then she asked a question:
"After Adrian's death, have you thought about returning? Why didn't you try to contact us?"
"I've been thinking about it," Inessa replied. "I recognized Irene, who was shown along with the rest of the first Awakened, and I was thinking about contacting you. However, when I remembered that I had given up my past by accepting Adrian's offer, I always rejected this idea."
"You should have contacted me right away," Ivette chided.
Inessa didn't say anything.
At that time, an Access Portal opened, and Irene and Ina appeared in the Kingdom, holding hands.
Ina's eyes darted from side to side, exploring a new place, and Irene watched her with a smile.
"Ina!"— Inessa called, getting up from her seat when she saw her daughter.
"Mom!" — Ina exclaimed when she heard her mother's voice and rushed to her side.
"Thank God you're okay," Inessa breathed a sigh of relief, hugging her daughter.
Ina, hugging her mother, was very happy to learn that Irene had not deceived her.
Irene quietly approached her mother, without disturbing their reunion.
"Where's Idan?" asked Ivette, and Irene, surprised by her question, looked around, but did not find him.
"He was with us," she replied.
When Inessa was finally reunited with her daughter, the first thing she looked at was Irene and was once again amazed at how beautiful she had become. She then anxiously started looking for Idan, but to her disappointment, he was nowhere to be seen.
***
Idan, meanwhile, was in no hurry to reunite with his birth mother.
The whole family drama was already starting to annoy him.
If it wasn't for the System's assignment, Idan would never have bothered with all this. He would have continued to consider Ivette his mother, and that would have been enough for him. But now, because of this assignment, his family has turned into some kind of damn drama.
Having entered the portal after Irene and Otha, Idan, unlike them, who could not choose where to appear, found himself in the fiery region of the ring of the seasons, where he sent the captured Flaming Crane.
He came here because he noticed that the crane had regained consciousness.
The Crane's amber eyes immediately noticed his appearance and glared at him. She still couldn't move, the fiery chains were tightly gripping her body, and a strange suppression prevented her from using her strength and even changing her appearance.
Idan, seeing her furious gaze, said with a slight smile, "Elira, let's talk."
"Let me go," she replied in response.
"Only if you promise not to get violent or attack me," Idan replied to her call.
After a short silence, Elira agreed: "Okay, just take those chains off me."
Hearing her words, Idan lifted his arms and used his power to free her from her bonds.
Elira, feeling free, quickly stood up on her thin long legs, spread her wings and, raising her long neck and head, looked proudly at him.
"She's really beautiful," Idan thought, looking at Elira, who looked majestic in this form. Idan also admired her beauty in human form, but what he liked most right now was how she looked in her true form.
Finally feeling free and breathing a sigh of relief, Elira began to transform. Soon, she appeared in front of Idan in her human form.
"What are you staring at so intently?" she asked, annoyed by his gaze, which was fixed on her body.
"Is your dress a part of yourself? Or is it some kind of special ability? Or maybe it's some kind of artifact?" Idan suddenly asked, making her surprised.
"Ability," she replied.
"Oh! Amazing!" exclaimed Idan, and then, feeling something familiar, he looked away, and his gaze went into the distance.
Smiling, he used his power over the Kingdom and teleported two people next to him — Irene and Arabel.
"Were you looking for me?" he asked with a smile.
However, instead of answering, the two girls' attention was attracted by something else — a charming stranger standing in front of them.
Elira, puzzled by the sudden appearance of two new people, felt uneasy. She didn't like the way they looked at her, especially the one with the red hair.
"Sister, Belle, let me introduce you to Elira, the Flaming Crane," Idan said, pointing at the beauty.
"A Flaming Crane?" asked Arabel, frowning.
"Ah! Is this the bird you encountered in Zesta?" Irene, unlike Arabel, immediately realized who this girl was.
"Yes, that's her. Besides, she is an outsider from the incomplete World of Fire," Idan said, causing Arabel and Elira to be surprised.
"How does he know where I'm from?" — Elira wondered inwardly.
In order not to arouse suspicion, Idan told Irene and Arabel about what had happened and how he had eventually abducted this beautiful woman.
"Since when did you start abducting beautiful women?" asked Arabel with a dangerous grin.
"Belle, didn't you listen to what I said? At first it was a simple misunderstanding, but then, remembering something important, and considering that this woman did not intend to have a dialogue, I had to kidnap her."
"Oh! And what kind of important matter is it if you had to become a kidnapper of women?" Arabel's smile became even more sinister.
Even Irene and Elira herself began to feel fear of her.
"Belle, have you forgotten that our Kingdom's Barrier will only be maintained by the World itself until the Third Calamity? And that after it, the World will stop supporting it, and we will have to take care of the energy necessary for its functioning ourselves?" This time, Idan used a mental link so that only Arabel could hear him.
Idan's words made Arabel think about it, and her smile instantly disappeared. She frowned, glanced at Elira, and looked back at Idan.
"Are you going to go to the World of Fire?" she asked.
Idan, seeing that Arabel immediately understood his intentions, smiled back at her.
"Yes, that's my plan," he confirmed.
