Deciding not to think anymore about how much more delicious she would be compared to the fatty yellow cave fish, Scaly took the opportunity and began to swim towards the shoreline of the landmass.
Even if she felt a bit offended by the fact that she had been ignored, she would take revenge on the heavenly lake serpents in the future when she got the opportunity. Fully intending to show them just how big of a mistake it was for them to ignore her and instead go for the fatty yellow cave fish instead.
Although, this wasn't entirely the fault of the heavenly lake serpents, as the current Scaly was smaller than the larger and more meaty fatty yellow cave fish, while at the same time being covered in a layer of scales that wasn't that easy to digest.
More importantly, because her mana had almost entirely been used up at this point in time, the level of threat and power the heavenly lake serpents sensed from her was at most equivalent to a newborn fatty yellow cave fish. Making them completely ignore her and instead go for what they perceived to be far more worthwhile prey.
In the end, because of this, Scaly managed to reach the shoreline without any problems, as the heavenly lake serpents deliberately ignored her and went for the larger fatty yellow cave fish instead.
Splash~ Thump~!
Because of this, even as she made her way out of the water and on to land, Scaly didn't feel the slightest bit of happiness over having just survived a life and death situation, but instead only felt a newfound anger towards the heavenly lake serpents who had so clearly ignored her earlier.
Not just ignored her, but they didn't even recognize her as the one who had killed a large number of them earlier during their battle with the gnolls, something that completely bewildered her, as she had at least expected for them to have attacked her due to this alone.
Unknown to her, her appearance in the water along with the fact that she had no powerful presence around her due to her drained mana made her appear completely different in the eyes of the heavenly lake serpents.
Even more so because they considered her a land-dwelling monster and not one that lived in the water. Not to mention, none of them expected her to have followed them into the underground ocean where they had intended to hide away and recover their strength before launching another attack towards the gnolls in the future.
The reason for this was not just how difficult it was to reach the underground ocean, but even more so because of the danger associated with traversing the large body of water separating the entrance that they had used to enter the underground ocean and the landmass they were now living on.
For Scaly to have gone through all of this as a land-dwelling monster all on her own was simply impossible in the eyes of these heavenly lake serpents. Resulting in even those who might have thought she looked a bit familiar quickly dispelling these thoughts as they focused their attention on hunting more of the fatty yellow cave fish.
I really want to start attacking them now that they are busy hunting down the fatty yellow cave fish, but… My current mana is far from enough to even fight one of them, let alone try to escape in an unfamiliar environment that is filled with unknown dangers and possibly other monsters similar to that baby kraken from earlier…
As she went over her current situation and fought back her desire to jump on one of the heavenly lake serpents that emerged from the water only a short distance away from her, Scaly didn't waste much time lingering around the edge of the water before moving further onto land in search of somewhere safe for her to recover her strength and more importantly the mana she had used to get to the land mass.
It was only as she moved away from the water and lost sight of the heavenly lake serpents that she finally noticed a few of the monsters that lived on this landmass inside the underground ocean…

[Yellow-Red Salamander Snake, lvl 9]
Looking around at these monsters, it was obvious that there were a lot of familiar monsters she had already encountered earlier during her time at the second floor of the dungeon, but outside of them, she also found several new monsters that seemed stronger and should be the evolution of some of these monsters.
Among them, the most astonishing was the monster that should be the evolution of the giant spider.
[Titan Spider, lvl 37]
[Description: The evolution of the giant spider that has grown both in size and strength. Now with a body the size of a small house and legs over a dozen meters long, it has become a fearful opponent even for the spider elves who are well known for hunting down spiders.
Even then, the titan spider can be considered rare and hard to find outside of dungeons or deep underground caves that have been left unexplored for ages. The reason for this being that the core of a titan spider can be used by spider elves to evolve into a higher level. Resulting in them being hunted down by some of the strongest spider elves the moment they are found.]
Even though it seemed like this evolution of the giant spider had managed to escape the fate of being regarded as a delicious treat in the eyes of those spider elves, it still looked like it didn't have a much easier time, as those spider elves still seemed intent on hunting it down.
Thinking about, Scaly could not help feeling curious about these spider elves that had now been mentioned twice in the descriptions of these spiders. After all, they should be powerful considering their ability to hunt down something like a titan spider, as even she herself didn't entirely feel confident in killing such a large spider even after her strength recovered.
For now, she decided to avoid the different monster she encountered along the way before finally settling down on a small, secluded corner located a few meters off the ground to recover her strength from the journey of crossing the underground ocean.
