Reincarnated as a Lizard

Chapter 116: Water Dragon Hatchling Scaly~!

As Scaly lost consciousness and her evolution started hidden away inside a cave of the mountain she had chosen to hide away inside of during this dangerous period of time, the knight of the crimson flame that had gone to the third floor of the dungeon together with the person that had been sent over by the guild master emerged in a large town located on a small island with only a small forest and a few forest rabbits bouncing around without a single care in the world.

From the large number of ships anchored at the pier constructed a short distance away from the town and the large number of people present, it was obvious that the town was an important trading hub far exceeding that of the town that had its guardian formation activated.

The reason for this was that outside of the path leading down to the fourth floor of the dungeon, there was also a spiral staircase leading up to the second floor of the dungeon at the edge of the town.

Not just that, but on the second floor of the dungeon, there was a similar path right next to it leading up to the first floor of the dungeon.

In essence, the town was in the middle of a highway of sorts that cut directly through the first four floors of the dungeon. Making it by far the most important trading hub inside the entire Howling Caverns.

It was also because of this, that the only town in existence on the fourth floor of the dungeon was constructed at the end of the spiral staircase going down from this town. Although, it wasn't really a town, and it would be more accurate to call it a fortress instead...

"Looks like this place is still the same as ever." However, the knight of the crimson flame just frowned in disgust the moment he saw the busy town.

The reason for this was simple, as outside of just being a trading hub where adventurers gathered to sell off the monsters they had hunted down and rest, the town also had a large number of nobles present inside of it.

Even worse, most of these nobles were young immature young masters and ladies who often used their power as nobles to harass random adventurers or other unfortunate people who caught their attention….

"Hey, all of you, move out of the way. For I, Karl the strong, brave, awesome, handsome, charming and noble, shall conquer to fourth floor of the dungeon today!"

Speaking of the devil… One of these famed young masters happened to show up at just at this moment.

Not just that, but he was even arrogantly ordering all of the adventures travelling up and down the spiral staircase to the fourth floor of the dungeon to get out of the way. Making full use of a group of what should be his family's soldiers to do this without fear."

Seeing this, all the people moved out of the way to avoid getting caught up in a tantrum thrown by the arrogant boy.

Of course, with one exception being the knight of the crimson flame who didn't give a single damn about the arrogant little master as he continued along his way with the B Rank Adventurer sent by the guild master following closely behind him.

"Huh? Why aren't you moving out of my way you-"

Bang!

And as the young master started trying to cause problems, the knight of the crimson flame simply knocked the little fellow into the ground. Knocking him out in the process.

""Young lord!""

As a result, the group of soldiers that had been following behind him all came flying with panicked expressions plastered all over their faces upon seeing their young master being knocked out in a rather ruthless manner…

Among the soldiers, the captain was the one who panicked the most as he rushed over to ensure that his master wasn't dead before turning towards the knight of the crimson flame. "What have done!? Don't you know that this is viscount Patrick's seventh son!?"

"Who cares, an arrogant brat like that needs to be taught a lesson before he grows up." Rolling his eyes as he already understood how these people worked from his many years of having to deal with nobles after having reached the A Rank, the knight of the crimson flame simply shrugged his shoulders before leaving.

Not even giving the soldier captain any time to react before he disappeared together with the B Rank Adventurer that had come to fetch him.

Considering his status as an A Rank Adventurer, he was in the rather unique position that the kingdom wouldn't want to antagonize him needlessly over him beating up a noble or two. Even if it was a duke instead of a viscount son.

Especially so because he could be considered stronger than a normal A Rank Adventurer and thus had even managed to get away with beating up a prince that had been a little too arrogant swaggering around a random town when he had run into him… Ahm… That aside, the two didn't spend long inside the large town, as they soon boarded a small boat and headed off in the direction of the large island where the town with the active guardian barrier was located.

Along the way, the two didn't really encounter any problems, as most of the monsters were scared off by the terrifying presence of the crimson flame knight.

Back inside the cave where Scaly was lying motionless on the ground enveloped by a faint blue glow that covered her entire body.

Compared to the past, this glow was far brighter and the changes taking place in her body this time around were also far bigger, as a small pair of wings sprouted from her back, while her entire body was transformed from that of a lizard into a dragon.

A process that ended up lasting for two entire days before Scaly's eyelids twitched for a brief moment before slowly opening-

Rooar~!

And much like during her second evolution, she let out a rather cute sounding roar befitting her current cute looking state.

All things considered; she had after all just become a baby dragon so to speak. Meaning that it would still be some time before she could get a more intimidating roar going.

Not that Scaly cared about any of this, as she was far more focused on inspecting her new body after waking up-

Swish~ Swish~ Swish~

Happily trying to flap the small pair of wings on her back in a failed attempt to try and fly.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Not that she allowed something like that to stop her from trying to fly, as she only began flapping her small pair of wings with even more vigor than before as she once again tried to lift off the ground to no avail.

In the end, the first five minutes of her waking up from her third evolution were spent in this manner, as Scaly continued trying to fly with all of her power. Learning the hard way that baby dragons like herself didn't have well enough developed wings for them to fly.

However, Scaly wasn't too disappointed by this revelation, as she turned her attention towards her status for the first time since she finished her evolution. Filled with anticipation over how much she had increased in strength after officially becoming a dragon.

Name: Scaly

Race: Water Dragon Hatchling

Dragon blood: 2% (Inferior)

Level: 1/10, 0%

STR: 153 |VIT: 265| DEX: 114 | M: 378

Skills: [Dragon Bloodline, lvl 4], [Dragon Flight, lvl 2], [Dragon Water Magic, lvl 1], [Poison Resistance, lvl 3], [Dragon Claw Strike, lvl 4], [Swimming, lvl 1], [Dragon Breath (Water), lvl 3], [Corrosion Resistance, lvl 1]

However, when she saw her new status, Scaly was a bit confused.

First of all, her skills seemed to have taken on a dragon theme after her evolution this time around, with the most glaring change being her water magic that had gone from level 7 to level 1.

After that, her four attributes. Strength and Vitality had barely moved, while the same could be said for dexterity that had at least managed to break through the hundred-point barrier.

Her magic on the other hand…

It had directly broken through three hundred and was already closing in on four hundred. An overall increase of over a hundred points. Making her feel less bad about how little her other three attributes had grown after the evolution this time around.

But from this, she could guess that her current evolutionary path was a magic one and physical one, something she wanted in the first place, as magic used by dragons was always awesome and extremely destructive.

For this reason, she didn't panic when she saw that her water magic had disappeared and been replaced by a level one dragon water magic, as she felt that it should be far more powerful because of the dragon in the name.

For the same reason she didn't really pay attention to her other skills that had changed to have dragon in their name, but was more so confused that they kept their level, while her dragon water magic didn't…
