"I-I wouldn't dare to," She immediately replied, and now I could tell she was just very serious.

"Okay, clean up this room…." I ordered, and just as the icy and deathly servant followed my orders, the fiery one asked a question that made me blush.

"Would you like me to help you change into some clothes?" She asked with a fully serious expression.

Ah… what a bad first impression I've made upon my new maids.

The empress just stood in the doorway, frozen, not knowing what to do as all her plans came crumbling down, all while I was getting changed into a nice dress.

"It seems you spiced up my wardrobe… Thank you very much for that," I said with a smug smile, and the empress swallowed a large drop of saliva.

"What do you want? I'll give you my kingdom as long as you give me the crown… we'll make a contract, so neither of us can scam each other,"

"Nah… I have to get back to my original world… and I'm sure this war is related to that, so how about you shut up for a second and leave me to my own mind. You keep shouting, and I can't think,"

"I can send you back to your original world as long as you give me the crown. With my power, I can rip open a portal to your world,"

"And why should I believe you? Huh?"

The empress gritted her teeth with anger before storming off, but just as she was about to turn the corner, I erupted a bright green wall of flames in front of her.

"Come on. Let's eradicate the opposing army together… Also, send me to that dukedom far away from the front lines. I want to warm up to my powers first,"

"You dare block my path and then order me around! Lucy! You're crossing the line!"

"You're one to talk,"

I rolled my eyes before walking up to her and then engulfing my hand in beautiful green flames that shone with hints of rainbow sparkles.

"Send me to the dukedom. I'll help you out, and then once I figure out a way back, I'll give you your little crown back,"

"How can I believe you?"

"You can't. Hope to your favorite spirit that I won't just take it and run because if I do… We'll have to fight… and if you kill me, you'll lose your opportunity… oh, my, I kind of feel bad for you," I chuckled as the empress shook with anger once again.

She was doing a great job at suppressing her anger, but it clearly wasn't enough as she quickly reached toward me with a hand coated in freezing frost.

FWOOSH

"Wow, that was close," I muttered before taking a few steps back, a drop of sweat running down the side of my head.

The wall next to her was torn open, and an unforgivable collection of frost froze over the remaining pieces.

"You fucking bitch… Alright, fine. Go where you want. Just get out of my sight," She said while tightening her hand.

"Oh, can you also bring Cora?"

"Fine… JUST GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!" She shouted, and so I called over my maids, who proceeded to follow me, sizing up the surrounding butlers and maids who were nowhere near as strong as her.

Quickly, I made my way to Cora's humble abode and sat down to have a talk with her.

She was impressed by the changes that came with my evolution but could only sigh upon hearing that I angered the empress.

"Seriously? Come on, Lucy… You may have evolved, but your other stats haven't changed much. Only your skills have become stronger… You can't afford to offend her even if she can't kill you,"

"Yeah, I guess. From what I can tell, she still has a limit to her anger, so I'm sure she could kill me if she gets angry enough," I smiled to myself, and Cora just rolled her eyes.

"Anyway, you called me here to help you in the dukedom, right? I'm sure she would blackmail you… if you cared enough about me,"

"I do care about you, though," I said, and Cora blushed profusely before holding her forehead with her hand.

"Okay, whatever. Let's get going then and make sure to take care of your army. They're getting a bit restless since you haven't been attending to them,"

"I know, I know,"

A few days have passed, and we're finally on our way to the dukedom with both of our armies in toll.

The empress still tried to convince me, but I was dead set on the plan that I had formulated in my mind. Plus, I already knew most of the outcomes of this place.

Either I die, I win, or I end up becoming enslaved by the empress after I slip up… nothing else to say besides that.

As we trudged through the snow-filled wasteland, the looming presence of the fiery tree in the distance continued to make us sweat.

"Mistress, there are a few enemy camps up front. It seems the dukedom is also unaware of them,"

"Okay… SOLDIERS! IT'S UNEXPECTED, BUT WE HAVE OUR FIRST BATTLE! SPILL BLOOD FOR THE SAKE OF VICTORY! IT'S JUST A SMALL CAMP, SO DO NOT FEAR!" I shouted while Cora looked at me with a bit of awe.

"I didn't know you were proficient in leading an army,"

"Well, I just did what I thought people would say… Also, I'm just leaving them to charge into the camp. I haven't given them any directions at all, so, yeah. I haven't really done much,"

"That's true, but you also got my blood pumping… I'm kind of excited now,"

"No, let's conserve our strength in case somebody big comes out," I said, and as the army rushed past our horses, they cleared the small hill and on the other side was a camp filled to the brim with enemy dark elves.

They were completely taken by surprise, and just as I had thought, a few stronger ones greeted us, slipping past the entire army.

"A snake with wings… Strange," One of them muttered before disappearing, and a flash of black lightning crackled past my face.

Quickly I hopped off my horse, and despite it being super hypocritical, I was excited and ready to fight.

Of course, Cora made sure to rub this in.

"Hypocrite!" She announced with a wide smile and then also hopped off her horse.

The soldiers around us immediately knew what was coming, so they charged toward the camp, hoping not to get caught in the crossfire.

"I can feel my blood boiling with excitement… [Descendant of Quetzalcoatl's Fire],"

My body exploded with these green flames, and the only thing you could see were my deathly bone wings and the silhouette of my glowing pale eyes.

The dark elf in front of me froze with fear but then got it together as he stabbed his arm with his dagger and then gritted his teeth.

Soon, black lightning crackled around him, and his knife-like ears twitched upon feeling my pressure press down on his back.

Suddenly, my fire expanded into the sky, then split apart into thousands of fiery weapons, which were sent flying at the dark elf.

He swiftly and nimbly dodged between them, but this was, of course, to set up my path right into his chest.

SHING

I created a concentrated blade of flames that ripped through his chest, and after turning it, I cut him straight in half.

His final ditch effort, which was to create a demonic shadow of evil lightning, was also ripped apart by me, my flames expanding across the entire battlefield, and now I felt one with my skill.

Information flooded my mind about how I could use this skill as if Quetzalcoatl themself was trying to help me out.

[Crown of Flames]

A green crown of flames floated above my head as I walked through the burnt battlefield, my allies untouched by the flames but the enemy, completely burnt to a crisp without even knowing what happened to them.

"It looks like you're having fun," Cora smiled, and I just smiled back as my flames retreated back into my chest.

"I've been facing off against tough people, so it's satisfying to let out some stress on some weaker ones…."

"ALRIGHT! LET'S CONTINUE MOVING FORWARD!" Cora announced to both of our armies, and as we hopped back onto our horses, our army followed after us, leaving a trail of death in our wake.

(Unknown POV)

"They're finally almost here. Alright! Everybody get ready to greet the two commanders! If we piss off any of them, we're all dead!" I shouted across the entire hall, which was filled to the brim with the nobles of my dukedom.

We were given mostly free rein over this place without the eyes of the empress, but it seems she's finally locked down on trying to excrete all impurities…

The war has truly changed this plane for the worst.
