The Forsaken's Revenge

Chapter 188: An Overwhelming Situation

Huang Yun cursed inwardly. What a fool! She said nothing, only shifting her stance, ready to teach Slick a lesson—and Chen Zheng a profound one as well.

However, Chen Zheng, who had been watching her closely, had a sharp glint in his eyes.

Instantly, Huang Yun's face turned deathly pale. Her body froze as if encased in ice. A chill spread from within, leaving her unable to even move her lips.

Like a furious lion, Slick concentrated his power into his fist and hurled it at Huang Yun. Unable to dodge, she could only watch helplessly as Slick's fist viciously struck her cheek. Her body flew backward as if launched from a catapult, crashing heavily in the distance.

Everyone was stunned. The scene was familiar, yet the roles had been reversed. Slick looked at his own fist in bewilderment.

"Continue!" Chen Zheng's voice cut through the silence like the dawn's first light, pulling Slick back to reality.

Slick instantly understood the truth: this was all an elaborate trap set by Chen Zheng. His rage ignited, and he pounced on Huang Yun like a fierce tiger, landing another vicious punch on her cheek.

BANG! Huang Yun was knocked unconscious.

Slick showed no mercy, hammering punch after punch onto Huang Yun's body. As a mercenary, he was intimately familiar with the human body's vulnerabilities and knew precisely how to strike to neutralize a target. Within seconds, Huang Yun was a mass of bruises.

"You're courting death!" Su Zhe roared, finally snapping back to his senses and charging at Slick.

However, Chen Zheng appeared before him and effortlessly deflected his attack into nothingness.

CRACK! A sound like shattering glass echoed as Su Zhe's body was thrown by an invisible force, spinning through the air.

BANG! He slammed into a sturdy table, shattering it to pieces.

"Did I give you permission to move?" Chen Zheng's voice was as cold and remote as a winter wind.

Su Zhe coughed painfully, spitting out two bloody teeth.

"Ah! You demon! I'll kill you!" Su Zhe's fury erupted like a volcano. Having lost all reason, he staggered to his feet and charged at Chen Zheng.

SLAP! The result was the same; the other side of his face met the same fate. Su Zhe crashed through another table and spat out two more teeth.

For a few seconds, the scene seemed to freeze, like a slow-motion clip from a movie. The elites from the major corporations were dumbfounded, their mouths agape, wide enough to swallow an egg. In their eyes, Su Zhe was an almost divine being, but now he was like an abandoned stray dog. The stark contrast short-circuited their brains. Their gazes all turned to Chen Zheng. Who is this mysterious man?

"Do you have any idea what you've just done?" Su Zhe roared, the slap having shocked him back to some semblance of clarity. Without waiting for a reply, he bellowed, "I am Su Zhe of the Su Family! Do you know who the Su Family is? I'll make you regret ever being born!"

He then pulled out his phone and quickly dialed a number.

RING! RING! RING!

Strangely, a phone began to ring from somewhere inside the banquet hall. Su Zhe's heart leaped. That familiar ringtone—it was his grandfather's!—cut through the banquet's din.

His gaze shot to the entrance where a group of people was walking in. The most prominent was a silver-haired old man—his grandfather. The anxious look on his face made Su Zhe's heart clench. What shocked him even more was that Guo Xiancheng of the Guo Family from the Imperial Capital and Wu from Dragon's Dive Pavilion were also with them. Their arrival was like an unexpected storm.

"Scoundrel!" Su Weizhong roared, his figure flashing in front of Su Zhe in an instant. He brought his hand across his grandson's face in a heavy slap.

Su Zhe spun away in a chaotic blur, as if controlled by an unseen force. He ultimately crashed into another innocent table, shattering it into splinters. He opened his mouth in pain, spitting out two more teeth, which only plunged him deeper into confusion.

"Grandfather... you hit me?" Su Zhe asked, his body trembling as he weakly propped himself up. With six teeth now missing, his words were mumbled and unclear.

"You wretched beast! I'll kill you!" Su Weizhong roared, marching over and hauling Su Zhe to his feet.

Su Zhe stood petrified. Is this still the grandfather I know? Would he really say something like that?

In the end, however, Su Weizhong didn't strike again.

Just then, Guo Xiancheng's voice rang out. "Yunjing, clear the room!"

Guo Yunjing and his men sprang into action. "All of you, get out and go home! Wait there, and don't even think about running!" they commanded sternly.

The expressions of the various tycoons changed instantly. Even the slowest among them now understood that Su Zhe had dragged them into a disaster. None of them dared to make a sound. They merely shot Su Zhe a venomous glare before departing with their tails between their legs. In the blink of an eye, they were gone.

Zhuge Xiyu stood frozen, as if struck by lightning. Her heart filled with regret. Why didn't I tell Chen Zheng about this from the start? None of this trouble would have happened. I never imagined his influence was so immense...

"Next time, contact me directly," Chen Zheng's voice sounded in her ear, as gentle as a spring breeze.

"Yes!" Zhuge Xiyu nodded repeatedly, a tide of complex emotions surging within her. She had only wanted to avoid troubling him, never expecting it would cause such a massive incident. A sense of grievance welled up inside her, but she kept it hidden.

"Sigh... What a disaster, what a disaster..." Su Weizhong lamented, dropping Su Zhe and hurrying to kneel before Chen Zheng. "Grandmaster Chen, this is all my fault. I failed to discipline my people properly. I offer you my deepest apologies!"

A sharp SLAP echoed in the silent air. Su Weizhong had struck himself across the face, a stunning act that shocked everyone present. For a Grandmaster to perform such an act was simply unbelievable.

Su Zhe was dumbfounded. I never imagined this person's status was so high that even Grandfather would have to grovel before him.

Contrary to his expectations, however, Chen Zheng ignored Su Weizhong's gesture, his gaze calmly settling on Guo Xiancheng and Wu.

Guo Xiancheng hurried forward and bowed. "Grandmaster Chen, this is Su Weizhong of the Su Family. He is an old friend of mine."

"Are you pleading for him?" Chen Zheng asked indifferently.

Guo Xiancheng was startled and quickly said, "No, I wouldn't dare!"

Chen Zheng nodded, paying them no more mind. He turned to Zhuge Xiyu. "What did he demand of you?"

Without the slightest hesitation, Zhuge Xiyu replied urgently, "He ordered me to hand over the Yan Shuiyu business, and... he demanded that I serve him!"

Her words were filled with shame and anger. Su Weizhong trembled, his rage toward Su Zhe burning like a wildfire.
