Acquiring more than one pet in a single dungeon raid is a first for me. So I didn't hesitate before responding yes to the interface.
Immediately I did, the ground beneath my feet began to tremble. It was soft at first but then grew increasingly violent as if the entire cave was reacting to my decision. The Anti-arcane stone floated gracefully into the air, spinning slowly and pulsing with alternating flashes of black and red.
Then a crack of light rushed through the floor and a cold rush of energy swept through the area, replacing the heat from Pyro's flames.
~Rebirth process has begun~
The system echoed through my mind, layered with a strange resonance that made it sound even more divine than it already was.
A moment later, glyphs appeared. Massive glowing circles forming around the floating stone. Runes rotating in intricate patterns, each one pulsing like a heartbeat. My own heart synced with the rhythm which suggested pet-master pact being formed.
I stretched out my right hand svd spoke the words that flashed on the screen of the interface.
The runes flared so brightly I had to squint. The mist condensed, forming a colossal silhouette—massive shoulders, long arms, and a spine curved forward like a mountain ready to move. The stone shattered, and shards of violet light embedded themselves into the shape as it began to take form.
A roar ripped through the silence. Deep. Primal. Unmistakably powerful.
The creature stepped out from the pillar of light—its fur pure white like snow reflecting moonlight, muscles rippling under its skin. Purple insignias blazed across its arms, chest, and face—Arcane tattoos pulsing in sync with my heartbeat. Its eyes opened, twin orbs of violet flame staring straight at me with silent obedience.
The pressure it radiated was different—nothing like Pyro's fiery intensity or Egar's aggression. This was calm, raw dominance. A beast that didn't need to roar to remind everything around it that it was king.
The system chimed again:
Ding!
~Rebirth is complete~
~New Arcane pet acquired~
I stared at the massive beast before me and grinned. "Huh? You were a nightmare before, but now you're mine."
I stared at the massive beast before me and grinned. "Huh? You were a nightmare before, but now you're mine."
It thumped its chest once, the sound echoing like thunder through the cavern, then bowed its head slightly—a sign of submission and respect.
I reached out, pressing my palm to the warm fur on its arm. The purple runes lit up brighter, syncing once again with the markings on my skin. Our energies intertwined, the link sealing with a sharp pulse that felt like lightning through my veins.
"Welcome to the team," I said, smirking as the ritual circle dissolved into sparks around us. "Let's make some chaos."
It's low growl rumbled in response, not of defiance—but of loyalty.

After gaining a new pet and allocating my newly rewarded stat points, I felt a strange pulse of energy from the ruins around me .
Looking down, I saw an object materializing before me. It was a sword, gleaming in the dim light with an aura of power.
It's blade had ancient symbols and markings carved into it, I couldn't read or understand the symbols but I felt their meaning all the same.
This was the Shadow Edge, as named by the system, a swap{n forged by the ancient Divine Custodians to combat external forces.
It's power resonated with my own, amplifying my abilities and granting me new combat potential.
I reached out, my fingers closing around the hilt. The sword felt like an extension of myself, it's power merging with my own. I could feel it's strength coursing through me, a tool that would make me even more formidable in battle.
I felt as though I were destined to weld it, a weapon meant for me alone.
Taking a deep breath, I resolved to delve deeper into the ruins. I could sense there were more secrets hidden within its depths, treasures and trials that awaited me.
Each step I took would bring me closer to unlocking the mysteries of this ancient place and perhaps to the answers I sought about my family and my own destiny.
As I moved forward, I glanced down at the Shadow Edge with a promise burning within me. Whatever lay ahead, I would face it with courage, strength and an unyielding will.
As I walked, my foot brushed against something small and round. Curious I knelt down and uncovered a strange stone half buried in the dust. It was about the size of my palm and it glowed faintly with a soft blue light.
I reached out to touch it and the moment my fingers made contact with the stone, a light flared brilliantly, almost blinding me.
The system wasted no time to evade my vision.
Ding!
~You have found the a Stone of Memory~
~Accessing the stone will reveal the ancient memories of the Divine Custodians, but you must beware it will drain a large portion of your Arcane Energy~
I hesitated for a moment, weighing the cost. The idea of learning more about the Divine Custodians intrigued me.
I was already deep in the ruins fighting the shadows of their past. Maybe this would give me the answers I sought.
I nodded and activated the stone and immediately, the world around me blurred and shifted. For a moments, everything was disorienting, but then, like a veil being lifted, the scene before me changed.
I was no longer standing in the ruins but in a bustling city. I recognized the towering as the same ones that now lay in ruins around me.
I saw figures moving around and about, their robes flowing as they went about their duties. These were the Divine Custodians, a race known for guarding the very fabric of space and dimensions.
I watched in awe as they manipulated dimensional rifts with ease, creating portals and bending space to their will. But just as I was expecting, the peaceful scenery didn't last.
Just then, the sky darkened and an ominous feeling gripped the city.the Custodians looked up in horror as the air itself began to ripple with dark energy.
From the sky, a wave of black shadows descended. They were formless beings and their presence radiated destruction.
I tried to focus on the enemy, but no matter how hard I tried, their true form remained hidden. The shadows were just that- shadows. I couldn't see who or what they truly were, only their dark presence and the devastation they caused.
In one smooth, swift and brutal attack, the black shadows tore through the city. The custodians fought back valiantly using all their powers to fend off the invader, but it was of no use.
One by one, they fell, their powers drained by the overwhelming force of the shadows. I saw glimpses of massive structures crumbling, dimensional rifts collapsing in on themselves and the once glorious civilization reduced to ruins. It was chaos and destruction on a scale I could barely comprehend.
And then, just as quickly as it had begun, the vision started to fade.
The last thing I saw was a single custodian standing alone, surrounded by the shadows.
The figure reached out, as if trying to protect something precious but before I could see what it was, the vision ended.
