Evolving Infinitely: SSS-Ranked Talent Awakening.

Chapter 44: Aftermath

TWO DAYS LATER…

The atmosphere within the walls of RAA: Cindralock had become increasingly tense since the attack from the swarm of Shadow creatures.

My friends, other relevant instructors and students were on high alert for the high IQ Shadow creature that almost ended the life of the highly esteemed Chancellor.

A student had lost his life, a young mage who hadn't even grasp the bases of Arcane channeling and control. Besides that their was no other casualty, just the loss of campus property and facilities.

The Chancellor had to be hospitalized, and the Vice Chancellor had to step in to organize the rejuvenation exercise to bring the school back to tip top function.

As to the whereabouts of Regazan the Blood faun, it was nowhere to be found. Reapers from the city came in to investigate but found nothing about the creatures location.

The origin of the monsters was traced to a location hidden deep within a wooded area, and much like the dungeon gate that opened during my Awakening ceremony, it unleashed its demons immediately to opened.

The world was beginning to see more and more gate breaks the moment the gates opened, and that was such a bad news to withhold because we could barely create a system that finds and seals gates, talk more of gates that instantly break when they are opened… humanity might just be plunged into extinction if this continues.

The tournament was cancelled and the automatic victory was awarded to the team with outstanding performance and absolute wins— Team Cleanup Guild. During both our matches that day, we had non of players knocked off the platform and into the sand pit, therefore we were the only team with an absolute record.

And that meant we would go on to represent RAA: Cindralock in the forth coming Reaper Sister School Tournament.

My stats and powers were becoming more and more impressive, I guess that the only upside to this whole drama:

Level: 40

Class: Mythic

Strength: 58

Agility: 46

Endurance: 56

Intelligence: 53

Arcane Reserves: 3500/35000

Stat points available: 25

With all this that had happened, I knew that it all came down to one person who was responsible— Dazzai Thornhill.

That foolish, greedy, son of silver spoon couldn't handle the fact that I was the growing talk of the Reaper world and wanted to strike my shine.

Unfortunately for him, his plans were not fruitful because I was hoping to face off with him at the Sister School Tournament and make him pay for what he did to my school.

After the incident at the school, I returned home to stay with my siblings, hoping that no danger had befell them during my absence.

The world was vast and full of potential danger lurking at every corner, and I would explore every corner, driven by the desire to protect those I loved.

I have a long way to go before I could totally relax. Enjoy my days with my siblings.

The air around the academy was thick with tension and the fear of the unknown. After the recent battles, I had been keeping a low profile at my house, training hard and preparing for what was to come.

I could feel my strength growing, but with it, a sense of unease began to creep in.

I knew something was coming, something that would test me like never before.

As I was leaving my house this morning, walking alongside my siblings taking them to school, a chilling presence stopped me in my tracks.

I turned to see a figure standing at the edge of the path, arms crossed and eyes burning with malicious intent.

It was Dazzai Thornhill, the nobel who had the nack for always keeping his position at number one no matter the cost.

Dazzai's sneer sent a chill down my spine. "You think you're safe, don't you? That you can just live your life peacefully with your weak little siblings and pets… but I'm here to remind you that you are nothing."

Percy and Jackson flinched, moving behind me and I put a protective arm around them, with my eyes narrowing. "You touch them and I will…"

"You'll do what?" Dazzai interrupted with a laugh. "Face it Levi. You're a bug to me, and its time to squash you."

Without another word, Dazzai raised his hand and dark energy surged around him.

Before I could react, Dazzai launched a strike aimed directly at Percy and Jackson.

My instinct kicked in and I threw myself in front of them, raising my hands to cast spacial matter, creating a barrier that defected the attack.

The force of the impact sent me sliding back, but the barrier held strong.

"You won't get away with this, Dazzai!" I said through gritted teeth, feeling the pressure of Dazzai's power.

Dazzai's eyes flashed with anger. "You've gotten stronger since the incident with your school, but it won't matter. I'm just getting started."

Before I could retaliate, Dazzai summoned a horde of creatures from his shadow. Monstrous undead beast with razor sharp claws and glowing red eyes.

"Arise…"

The ground trembled as the beasts charged at me.

"Stay behind me!" I shouted at Percy and Jackson with my heart racing but my resolve strong as ever.

I summoned both Pyro and Cryo, channeling their advanced combinations to fight back.

Lava erupted from the ground, scorching the monster as they closed in. With each slash and strike, my attacks grew more precise.

My Arcane pets jumped into the fight, unleashing elemental skills that tore through the monsters with ease.

As the battle ragged on, I felt the familiar surge of power as I gained a level.

I smirked feeling the new strength course through me. I fought harder, tearing through Dazzai's monster with a combination of elemental attacks and pure strength.

For every beast I slayed, another one took its place, and it seemed the system was rewarding me greatly for slaying undead Arcane monsters more than Shadow creatures.

Meanwhile, Dazzai watched from a distance, his expression darkening. "Impressive," he muttered. "But this is far from over…"

My confidence surged as I leveled up again. I was now one step closer to becoming even stronger, but I knew that Dazzai wasn't done yet.

"Enough games!!" Dazzai shouted, his voice echoing through the clearing. He raised both hands and the ground beneath him began to crack, releasing a new wave of undead monsters from his shadow, larger and more powerful than the previous ones.

These were no ordinary beasts. They were a result of Dazzai's innate awakened talent. He had the ability to resurrect dead creatures, be it normal humans, animals, arcane pets and even shadow creatures from the dead into mindless zombie like individuals that do his bidding.

But I didn't flinch.

I raised my hands, signalling both elemental dogs and channeling all of their power into one final strike.

The elemental mass surged as I combined ice and fire into a devastating blast, sending the attack barreling toward the advancing horde of undead.

The impact was ground breaking, erupting the surrounding area in a frenzy of fire and ice.

My system went haywire with notifications.

Ding!

The undead were vaporized by the sheer force of my attack and the area fell silent for a moment.

I stood there, panting, feeling the immense power coursing through me. But, Dazzai wasn't done. His eyes narrowed as he prepared to make his next move.

Meanwhile, little did I know that as the fight was going on, witnesses who saw Dazzai Thornhill go head to head with the Prince of Cindralock managed to spread the information l

ike wildfire and before long the information had fell into the ears of both RAA: Cindralock and Londonium, including the noble family of Thornhill.
