The Rise Of The No. 1 Hunter

Chapter 59: DEMISE

Its every step shook the entire castle hall, dust and debris falling from the ceiling. The Lich floated above it like a dark god, watching silently.

"Wow… I expect nothing less from a Lich," Raito said quietly. "Look at what it created. But no matter how strong it gets, it's still going down."

He exhaled slowly, eyes narrowing. "Even if I defeat that thing… it might reform again because of the Lich controlling it. Still, that doesn't matter. I'll break both of them."

He raised his right hand. "Status box."

The glowing blue screen appeared before him. He navigated to Skill: Holy Burst.

"Let's see how strong you can get."

The description shimmered.

[Skill Effect: Increases output capacity by sacrificing LP]

[Enter LP to Sacrifice]

Raito thought for a moment, then typed: 2000 LP.

He pressed Accept.

The system beeped.

[LP -2000]

[Holy Burst Capacity Increased by 300%]

Instantly, a surge of green light exploded around him. Holy energy wrapped his body like a storm, spinning violently, forming radiant rings that pulsed with raw power. The light was so bright that the Lich's shadow flickered.

Raito clenched his fists, grinning. "Perfect. Even if it hits me, it'll take damage from this energy alone."

He looked up at the Bone Titan. The ground shook as it began to move, every step echoing through the hall like thunder.

"Now then…" Raito said, lowering his stance, energy coiling around his legs.

"Let's see how this plays out."

The Bone Titan roared, its enormous skull glowing crimson as it charged forward. Each footstep cracked the marble floor, sending tremors through the castle.

Raito's eyes glowed in response, his aura burning brighter. The holy energy flared like wildfire, swirling around him, forming a blazing green vortex that clashed against the Titan's deathly aura.

The Bone Titan raised its massive hand, bending down slightly, aiming to slam Raito.

Raito leapt with lightning reflexes, landing on one of its enormous fingers. He sprinted across the long arm, running toward the Titan's shoulder. The ground trembled with every motion of its massive body.

The Titan swung its right arm in a brutal attempt to crush him. Raito jumped, dodging every crushing blow, weaving along the bone like a shadow in motion.

His dagger appeared in his hand, bathed in holy burst energy. He slammed it onto the Titan's arm. A massive scorch mark appeared instantly, glowing along the bone. It didn't sever the limb, but it made a significant dent, corroding the thick, ancient bone.

Raito pushed forward, holy burst magic radiating outward, covering his entire body. The energy was so intense that each step he took caused the Titan's bones to start rusting, weakening under the radiant power.

As he reached the shoulder, Raito raised his dagger high, veins of green holy energy pulsating across his arms.

"System, activate all strength," Raito commanded, his voice echoing across the hall.

The holy burst intensified, spinning around him like a storm of light. The air crackled as the Bone Titan's massive frame trembled under the pressure. This wasn't just an attack; it was a declaration—Raito was taking control of the battlefield.

A notification screen flashed across Raito's vision.

[All Strengths Activated: Physical, Minotaur, and System Strengths Fully Applied]

"Good," Raito muttered as the notification vanished.

He balanced atop the Bone Titan's massive shoulder. "Why am I on its shoulder?" he shouted, dodging as the Titan swung its arm down to crush him.

Raito sprinted along the shoulder, moving faster with every step, aiming for the Titan's neck. The colossal arm slammed into the shoulder he had just vacated. Without hesitation, he channeled all his strength, all his holy burst energy, into his dagger.

"Full strength, Holy Burst!"

The dagger glowed with radiant green fire, pulsing with destructive energy. He struck the Titan's thick neck. A deafening crack echoed as the bone splintered, the giant head wobbling violently before collapsing toward the ground.

Above, the lich controlling the undead titan watched silently, its left hand raised, manipulating its creation. Its right hand shot forward, attempting to slam Raito into the fallen neck.

Raito didn't flinch. He raised his dagger, holy energy flaring like wildfire. The massive arm collided with the dagger—then split clean in two. Sparks of holy magic exploded outward, burning through bone.

He leapt down from the shoulder, landing on the mass of shattered skeletons at the Titan's abdomen. His dagger cut through the fragments effortlessly, leaving glowing streaks of holy energy in its wake.

The Titan's core still pulsed, surrounded by countless bones animated by the lich. They tried to grab him, restraining him from reaching it.

Raito gritted his teeth. "Not happening."

He swung his dagger, holy burst energy radiating outward, slamming through the skeletal hands. Every strike shattered bone upon contact. Then, with a final leap, he drove his dagger into the Titan's chest core.

The entire undead titan trembled violently. With a cataclysmic crash, the bones shattered into countless fragments, collapsing in a storm of dust and debris.

The Lich raised its staff. The shattered bones of the Titan began to stir, trying to reform. Not this time, Raito thought. He raised his dagger, holy energy flaring around it, and let it fly with blinding speed toward the Lich.

The Lich reacted instantly, summoning a barrier that enveloped its body. The dagger slammed into the barrier with a thunderous impact. Sparks of green holy light scattered across the room.

Raito smiled. It was going exactly as he planned. The moment he drew his dagger, it had activated all speed, propelling him forward like a streak of light. He dashed around the Lich, moving so fast that its barrier was struggling to keep up.

Activating flight, Raito soared above and behind the Lich. The dagger, now glowing with holy burst energy, crashed toward the Lich with relentless force. The Lich pushed it away, but it was too late. Raito's presence was already behind it.

Turning slowly, the Lich finally noticed him. Before it could react, Raito drew his second dagger, green flames of holy burst dancing along its edge. With a precise, brutal strike, he drove the dagger through the Lich's back, shattering the core that pulsed around its chest.
