"Good afternoon, Ezekiel!"
"Good afternoon."
Blaze spoke with excitement vibrant on his face while Link followed along with a simple smile. Raven, on the other hand, simply nodded at me, making me do the same before returning the greetings of the two boys.
"What are you guys doing?" I asked curiously.
"Collecting information about the witch's whole story while also trying to increase our favorability," Blaze responded with a thoughtful expression before adding,
"After you were gone, we got a [Search and Find] type quest but decided for you to harvest it. You can check it out by talking with the lady from the Inn."
I smiled, thanked them and then explained that I had already done so. I was given the quest as soon as I joined the game, and because it wasn't that much of an issue, I went ahead and did it.
"I found a bunch of weapons, coins and a few files regarding the situation. Something about creating a portal that connects this dimension to the devil dimension and such. Nothing out of the obvious, though," I concluded my statement, making them nod.
The one who was listening to it the most was Link, as he seemed to be seriously trying to understand everything that was happening here. He even asked a bunch of questions to clarify his doubt, to which I couldn't help but ask if he was interested in the story.
"Kind of, yes. I like lore and such. I'm kind of nerd for those kinds of things. Hehe. Though this time it's for our UTube video. I was planning to do a lore-type video and put a trailer on it first before releasing the video 1 week, in real time, later," he explained as I got a bit excited as well.
Something like this has a lot of material to pull in people. With good execution, it won't be a problem to gain a lot of views and fan-following, either.
"How about you add the videos of my explanations to it? And perhaps we can redo the search thing to add more effects?" Since I had little to do other than collect a bit more information about the entire settlement, I decided to have a little fun too.
I should also start planning to find a way to use the money they are going to earn from the stream and such. I pondered the ways I could use that money without anyone noticing my name.
Perhaps a fake account can work? I thought of a small idea before deciding to expand it later.
"That would be awesome!" Genuinely excited, Link nodded at the idea before asking if we could start immediately. And since I too did not have anything urgent to do, I agreed to it.
"I'll start the stream then. Blaze, ready on 3?" Link asked Blaze, who nodded in return and then soon began the stream after a quick 3 count. Blaze got into his streamer mode, introducing himself and the rest of the people here.
Because he was sharing Link's view with all of us, I could see the comments rising rapidly as the whole comment section became excited.
[Ginger01: EZEKIELLLLLL!!!!!!!!]
[TristanBear01: Oh! He is back, huh? Nice timing.]
[RavenFan01: RAVEN!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!]
[Ezymykiel6969: Man! I still get chills recalling the fight with the devil! Man, you are awesome! Good job!]
Reading a few comments, I chuckled before waving at them. And then, taking the trio to the nearest farm, I began my teaching session as promised before.
[Firdda: A teaching session?!!! Man, I should record it!]
[Enchanter01: Wow! Just wow!]
As the excited comment section buzzed, I taught the people about the farms first. Knowing we are all gamers, I went to the exciting parts first.
"It took 5 minutes, but here," I took out a small ugly weed with a pale blue flower growing on it. It looked ordinary no matter how you looked at it. Something that everyone would ignore without much thought of it.
"These are called Gintaka Poison Plants. While normal NPCs can't do much with them, if you can find an assassin NPC, it can be sold for as high as 20-30 bronze coins. The best part about them is that they grow very fast. A proper rotation can get you as many as 20-30 of these per 3 days. Also…"
I then began explaining a few more importance of the Gintaka Poison Plants before moving to a few other things we can find on the farms. Including but not limited to a few special rat monsters, some specific fleas that can be used as monster bait, and manure that can help the [Plant] class grow them faster.
Once done with that, I moved to the nearby trees and explained how the sap of this world is filled with mana. So if we found a big tree, there was a skill that would allow anyone to harvest the water without damaging the tree.
The skill was a bit tedious to get, but was worthwhile as it helps replenish thirst as well as mana fast without needing to return to a safe zone.
[Graygreece11: Are we really getting all these trips for free?!]
[Ameas13: This information is worth golds, damn it!! And here he is, giving it all for free!!]
Something like this would become common knowledge as the game progresses, though. I smiled as I saw the comment section underestimating the thirst for knowledge of interested players.
I think I once heard a Player trying to have a s*x with a sexy shaped tree hoping to get a Nymph's blessing. The man was down bad…
Man even forced the mods to add a few new restrictions rules for the tree's protection. I couldn't help but giggle recalling that, shit was too funny.
After that, as I explained a few more tricks to gain MP and restore health, and a few key skills to have if one wanted to adventure in Arcadia, I then began moving house to house, asking them about the Witch and the Devil. Though, as much as I expected, it was stagnant as not many knew about the whole situation to begin with.
Summing the conversation with what they will be doing next, we noted it all down before moving to the elder's house.
As I talked with Link, I repeated all the things I had done as before. But this time, rather than throwing blood on the circle, I decided to keep it simple and say that it activated on its own as soon as I removed the carpet, giving me all the rewards that this quest had.
Not showing the gold coins and the diary, I showed the rest of the goods to the people. Looking at the rare knuckles, a few got excited even.
"While I don't mind fighting with fists, I would prefer a sharp weapon to hit the weak points," I said as I shook my head with a sigh before adding,
"I will later put it up for auction. If any of you are interested, you can take it from there."
Blaze and Link looked at each other before deciding that neither of them needed it. Raven, too, didn't seem to be excited about it much.
After answering a few curious questions that I could answer, I then signalled Blaze to close the stream. To which he did it in a natural way without making it awkward. Even though there were many that wanted to see more of it, a 4-hour informative stream was already too much.
Closing the stream, Blaze and Link thanked me once before pondering something. Blaze, who was calm for a few seconds, then couldn't seem to hold it in, and finally spoke,
"Sir, about that stream money-"
"I know it crossed the million mark. I knew the moment you told me the view stats and subs growth," I interrupted him with a smile before I added,
"It's all right. These cards are worth that much, or perhaps even more. Sorry, but I really needed them."
Hearing my words, Blaze turned quiet. He had a hard time understanding how a gaming card could be worth that much, so Link, who was somewhat calmer, asked,
"Is your class rare? Or perhaps it's something that gives very few skills?"
An obvious conclusion if one thinks properly.
"You can think of it that way," I answered vaguely, to which Link nodded with an understanding expression before speaking,
"Well. If it is not too much, and if we do happen to get lucky again with the Unique Cards or something similar, will it be all right if we sell it to you? I would prefer selling it to someone who is closer and, obviously, someone who knows the true worth of the goods."
Are they financially in that much of a bad condition? I wondered if they were in some sort of debt that even a million dollars was not enough.
"Sure," I answered in the affirmative tone.
With that being done, Blaze finally sighed, giving up on the thought of returning me the rest of the money. I chuckled at his dropped face before deciding that it was about time I logged out.
Perhaps tomorrow we can go on a hunt and let them level up to 15. If they can get to that point, they could help me gather some materials in the deadwood forest that I would need later on. I pondered before saying that I was going to log out.
Though before I could do so…
"RAVEN!!!!!"
A feminine shout came from the distance as a player ran towards us, or to be precise, at Raven, with all their might. Looking at the familiar username, a sudden surprised expression formed on my face.
