One of the few differences between lower rank dungeons and higher ranked ones, was the distance and rate at which the monsters spawned.
The lower the dungeon's rank, the higher the distance between each spawn and the number of monsters would also be low.
F rank dungeons spawned one or two monsters in an instance and the distance between each spawn would be a few tens of meters.
C rank dungeons on the other hand, were like the middle point between the high rank dungeons and the low rank ones.
Amon walked into the dungeon and the moment he did, his surroundings changed as usual.
It looked like a man made cave, with straight but rough walls. Luminescent gems adorned the walls, casting a weak glow that kept the cave from getting extremely dark.
He looked ahead and saw a group of goblins, the kind that he wasn't really familiar with.
Amon had seen short, green skinned, ugly monsters while reading multiple manhwas, mangas and such but he had never seen the ones in front.
They were taller than he expected, standing at five foot and above. Some were slightly muscular while the others had bloated bellies.
In total, there were five goblins just standing a few meters away, unaware of the human that had just spawned in.
'Let's test things out…' Amon mused as he walked forward, alerting the goblins of his presence.
The five goblins turned to look at him and without any warning, rushed forward.
Each one of them held a rusty dagger and two of them had a buckler to go with it.
Amon simply stood as the goblins swarmed him, stabbing him with their daggers while the bucklers smacked against his body.

The damage was small, very small considering the fact that Amon had 200 points in defence.
Along with 10% damage reduction, this was like a dream come true. The healing from lifesteal was much higher than the damage he was taking so it peaked to the point until his health was full.
'Well… goblins are basically assassins so I guess I'll wait for them to use their skills. If I remember correctly, they must have an assassination skill that has defence penetration.' he mused as he stared at his health notifications until he saw a change in numbers.
The goblins did 17 damage with a regular stab and 35 with a critical hit but this time, it was different.

'My healing is still higher… how in the hell does defence stat even work? Ugh, I wish the academy had some sort of info on that.'
Feeling confused, he shook his head as he watched the goblins fall to the ground and turn into smoke.

Letting out a soft sigh, he began walking. Goblins went for him but this time, he didn't stop and continued moving forward while he let the goblins attack him.
His heath bar keps going up and down but for the most part, it was near full. The goblins barely dealt any damage and even their defence penetration didn't seem to work against him.
One by one, they fell to the ground and became experience points for Amon as they slowly filled up his experience bar.
After almost thirty minutes of walking, Amon stopped walking and let the goblins around him do their work. Soon, all of them died and he focused his gaze on the group that was in front of him.
Some of them had daggers just like the goblins before but there were also goblins that wore armor. It was made of leather but this was the first time he encountered a fully equipped monster.
Apart from this one, he also noticed a goblin that wore a weird feathered hat and held a huge wooden staff.
'Ah a shaman too… this is probably going to take a while… or maybe not. They have insane damage but shit health.' he chuckled inwardly as he walked closer, drawing their attention.
The shaman immediately raised his comically large staff and conjured a huge fireball before sending it towards Amon.

The fireball enveloped Amon completely and stayed in place for two seconds before it disappeared. As soon as it cleared up and he looked at the place where the shaman stood, only to see it lying on the ground while in the process of turning into smoke.
'One hit and it died.. heck, I didn't even hit it.'
The other goblins swarmed him once again but the outcome was the same. Every single one of them died while Amon's heath stayed at 100 percent.
'At this point… I'm basically invincible.' he thought and shook his head and he moved forward.
Almost an hour later, he stopped in front of a huge door for a moment before confidently pushing it open.
It was a large room and there weren't too many goblins. A throne sat in the far end of the room and on it, was a huge 3 meter tall muscular goblin that looked like it inhaled steroids for breakfast every single day.
On either side of it, were two shamans and three big goblins. In total, ten.
Amon eyed the big goblins and shrugged. They were goblin warriors and they were the ones that lasted the longest against him until now.
He stared at the group for a few seconds before stepping into the room and as soon as he did it, the door closed behind him.
"What the fuck?" he cursed as he looked behind him.
This was not supposed to happen. Boss rooms would not close in dungeons, atleast not in dungeons that have been in used for years.
