The next couple of days passed very quickly for Tyler. Before he knew it, it was matchday with the B team and he was sat in the locker room, listening to Jeremi's pre match pep talk.

"Alright boys, today we're going to be joined by the mercenaries that helped us put belt to ass to Saint-Malo. For the second time this season, Tyler Wilson and Tiago will be here to play with us. They'll be joined by a third and familiar face, as he's trained with us in the past, George Ilenikhenna!"

George had been left out of the matchday squad due to him not training according to the levels that Adi wanted. Even though he could easily blame it on the extra training sessions that he participated in with Tyler and Tiago, he took the criticism head down and wanted to fight for his place back in the matchday squad so he asked to be included in the B team for their match today.

Tiago, Tyler and George sat down together inside the locker room, carefully listening to Jeremi's pre match instruction. They hadn't trained with the B team so they had a lot to make up for when it came to following the game plan.

"Alright, Montlouis are going to come out, guns blazing in the first ten to fifteen minutes of the match. I'm talking gen-gen pressing, fast transitions and so on. We're going to need to use their pressing to our advantage so the lineup includes players that are good under pressure and will not lose the ball due to a bit of pressure". Jeremi glanced at his 'mercenaries' for the day briefly before he continued talking. "We're also going to need..."

After ten minutes, Jeremi finished talking and the captain of the B team gave a motivational speech. The team finished wearing their matchday gear and a match official came over to call them out for the match.

A couple of minutes later, the two teams came out, in two different files, and spread in the center of the pitch. The pre match rituals were completed and the two teams retreated to their side of the pitch. Monaco B's captain won the coin toss and opted for his team to start the match so George currently stood over the ball.

Tyler was standing on the left and looked around the small stadium that they would be playing in. He only needed to look for a few seconds before spotting Adi Hutter, who was flanked by Adrian and another one of his assistants.

Tyler took a few deep breaths as he tried to calm himself down. He didn't feel any pressure about the match initially, but seeing his coach watching in the stands made him feel like he had to put in a performance. Not just a good one, but a memorable one.

'Calm down Tyler'. Tyler muttered to himself while trying to regulate his breathing.

While Tyler was calming himself, he head a familiar notification.

[Ding! Host has been given a mission]

[Mission Impress the Coach: Host's coach is watching host play in the reserve team. Host needs to give his coach the game of his life so that he can be included in the next matchday squad]

[Reward: +10% chance of being included in the next matchday squad]

Tyler read the mission, and took another deep breath to calm himself. The system, through its mission reminded him that he needed to play the match of his life if he was to convince Adi Hutter that he was ready for first team football, and the way to do that would be to put on a very good performance today.

"Sorry Montlouis". Tyler muttered under his breath. "This isn't personal. But it's me or you right now, and I choose me".

The referee blew his whistle after Tyler finished his internal monologue, and the match commenced.

["Alright, we have a pretty decent matchup here today. It's the Monaco B team against Montlouis. Two teams who are by all means heavyweights in the fourth tier of French football. Montlouis just missing out on promotion after losing the playoffs finals last year while Monaco B finished just outside of it last year. This year though, things are different, with both teams having automatic promotion in their sights and they'll be looking to grasp it firmly in their fingers which makes this match all the more interesting to see"]

George passed the balls straight down the middle, to the Monaco B left center back as soon as the referee blew his whistle. As soon as he made that pass, the Montlouis players came pouring into Monaco B's half of the team, pressing for the ball. The center back took a touch on the ball before passing it forward to the team's defensive midfielder. The defensive midfielder took a touch before passing it to Tiago who had dropped deep to receive the ball.

As soon as the ball got to his feet, Tiago used an elastico to get past a player that was pressing him and went on a rush between two players introducing him to yards of space. He kept driving forward before playing a through pass to George who was running at goal.

Tiago's pass found George who had the ball a few steps away from the ball. After he made a couple steps with the ball, he realized he was about to get sandwiched by the two center backs of the opposition. He stopped running and passed it left to Tyler.

Tyler almost didn't get to the ball as the pass wasn't strong enough, but he stuck out his right leg and managed to get the ball in his stride and continued driving forward. When he got inside the penalty box, he used his right leg to hit the ball to the side, whilst swinging his left leg as if he was making a shot.

The defenders inside the box made tackles while the goalkeeper made a dive to his near post but the shot that they were expecting never came. Instead, Tyler adjusted his body and used his right foot to shoot into the virtually empty net.

'Wow, phantom mirage, it's cashmoney' Tyler thought as he watched the ball roll into the back of the net

["And Monaco gets things started here this afternoon. They've knocked it back, and now it's with Tiago Ribiero. Tiago, wow, what a move to escape the pressure and now he's off, he's off and he's running, he plays a nice pass to the striker, George Ilenikhenna, and Ilenikhenna's off, he's running but it doesn't look like he'll mak- ohh, what a smart pass to the side. Tyler Wislon has the ball now, and he's moving and he shoots!"]

["Oh my word! What a dummy shot?! He's had everyone fooled, and now he's got the ball comfortably on his right foot, and now he shoots again, and he scores. After just a minute, Monaco takes the lead. In a stunning fashion. Tyler Wilson, seventeen year old, a hattrick in the last game and now he's picking up just where he left off"]

Tyler started running towards the corner flag as soon as he scored, he did a knee slide, getting up as soon as he got to the corner flag and punched it into the ground while pumping his fists.

He only had a second or two to himself before he was assaulted from both sides by his teammates, who pushed him around and patted his hair. A minute later, they were back in their positions on the pitch, ready for the referee to blow his whistle and restart the match.

After already being behind in just a minute, Montlouis switched from their all out high pressing football, to a bit of a pragmatic style. They switched to sort of a mid block transition based football which allowed Moanco B to have the ball as much as they liked, as long as they didn't enter the opposition final third.

Monaco B were set up to cancel out Montlouis initial tactic to the sudden switch, so quickly in the game caught them a little bit off guard. Progressing the ball from defense to attack wasn't a problem, as Montlouis allowed them to do that just fine, it was keeping the ball in the final third that was the problem for them.

Monaco B had three attackers in the team, four counting Tiago who was playing as the furthest midfielder. They were usually overloaded and outnumbered before support arrived from the midfield causing them to lose possession quite a few times.

And although Montlouis changed to a more pragmatic approach, they were still incredibly dangerous on the transitions so while nullifying Monaco B's attacks, they also engaged in very dangerous counter attacks.

Unfortunately for them, Monaco B's defense remained very organized so they didn't create anything of note... until the twentieth minute.
