Roasted meats of various creatures were in the hand of the boy as he thanked the "Honorable Shaman" profusely before taking a large bite of the snake meat.
Immediately, he noticed a change. He felt like the feeling of the night's breeze brushing against his skin was weirdly stronger even though he knew that the breeze hadn't gotten any faster.
Only after a few seconds did he gasp as he stared at Lukas, "Ho- Honorable Shaman! You can bless the food?!"
Lukas said nothing and simply smiled as he shared a huge chunk of meat with his sister as he used a stick to pull out the potatoes that were buried in the ash. Once this was done, he added more wood to the ember and used his shamanic powers to light it up again.
Then, he cut the two potatoes in to three parts each before giving two of them to the boy. As for the rest, he shared it with his sister.
As they ate, Lukas looked at the boy and asked, "What's your name?"
"My name is Small Uke and my brother's name is Big Uke. My sister's name is babi! My father's name is Pa Uke and my mother's name is Ma Babi! My gra-"
"I understand." Lukas cut him off before lying down on his bed, "Sleep for now. My sister will keep watch for a few hours."
The boy nodded and immediately laid down on the ground, not far from the fire.
As they saw this, the siblings look at each other. Then, Lukas went to bed. The two of them switched and got five hours of sleep in total before they followed the kid to his tribe.
The journey wasn't too long as it only took them an hour thanks to Small Uke's knowledge of the terrain. He watched as the Uke family huddled together, hugging their youngest while the rest of the tribe came to look at the two new people.
Lukas saw a muscular man and an even more muscular woman walk towards him.
"Damn she's huge…" he thought as he took in the appearances of the tribesmen. Both men and women wore coarse shirts on the top. As for covering their privates, they either used the same coarse cloth and animal hide that still had fur.
'Based on what Uke said, they use certain leaves to keep their privates from getting irritated.' he thought as he saw the huge duo stop right in front of him.
The woman grabbed his arm without saying a word and before Nina could respond, she saw her wince.
Her gaze moved to the woman's bare thigh where Small Uke was, biting hard on her skin as he clawed her shin.
Frowning, the warrior woman looked at the family, "What's wrong with him? Did he get cursed?"
"No one is cursed…" Lukas said as he looked at Small Uke, "Stop biting her and explain everything."
Immediately, the child let go of the woman and told his tribe about his encounter. Luckily, there wasn't much to say but even after hearing Uke, the woman looked at Lukas the same way as before.
"Prove that you're a shaman. If not, we will not allow you to see our young shaman."
Lukas shrugged as he glanced at a burn mark on her shoulder, "Black Boar tribe. Hmm… alright." he said as he pointed at a tree nearby, "Go bring me that branch."
The woman squinted her eyes but did as she was told. With the branch now in his hands, Lukas converged the nearby mana at the tip and began thrusting it upwards. Soon, smoke had begun to rise up and it quickly got thicker and thicker.
Then with a sudden burst, a bright flame began to burn.
Lukas watched as the woman's gaze immediately switched to one of respect but the man behind her smirked as he took a step forward, grabbed the branch and threw it away.
"Is that all you can do? Hah?"
'The fuck is his problem?' Lukas thought as he looked at the 2m tall giant. His abilities as a shaman were limited as he still hadn't picked a totem, spirit or a divine being to worship. Most of the powers of a shaman came after this step was done.
Seeing this, the tribesmen began murmuring. Some glared at their warrior while the others simply had looks of curiosity.
Lukas gave the man a condescending look as he continued to put up an act, "There is no totem here." he said and then smirked at the man in front, "It looks like the black boar tribe has enough people to keep it safe and don't require a shaman. I suppose I'll should join the Toothless tribe since you've wasted my time."
Immediately after saying that, he turned on his heels and began walking away.
The muscular man was about to spit on Lukas when he felt his scarred but handsome face getting planted into the ground.
"Oh Honored Shaman! Please forgive our ignorance. I am willing to give you my life, so please… guide the Black Boars."
Lukas didn't turn around, but he stopped. Suppressing his smile, he slowly turned around to see the entire tribe on their knees.
'…. Amon really didn't tell me everything he knew. But to think that throwing a tantrum would actually work…' he thought as he looked at the group of people who were kneeling in front of him, 'This… feels weird.'
He felt extremely excited as he felt like he was a god being worshipped. But he also felt a little fear, which he tried to suppress along with his excitement.
"Raise your heads." he said as he closed his eyes, "I need a large log. The thicker it is, the better. Which one of you is strongest?"
He expected one of the two muscular ones to raise their hands but to his surprise, a middle aged man with multiple scars on his body walked forward. Lukas didn't bother asking how or why that man was the strongest.
Instead he pointed at a huge tree that had a reddish bark. With it's trunk's diameter of three whole meters, it looked extremely imposing. Lukas couldn't even see the top of the tree.
Sighing inwardly, he walked over to the tree with the other tribesmen right behind him.
